Sadly I cannot play csgo competitive because I suck a lot. It's very difficult for me to play , so currently I am training myself with pro friends 1v1
It may look stupid, but what's the difference between GO and the first version?

Anything above gold nova 1 = eternal suffering for me.

Can you care to explain the ranking process of csgo? I know I may sound really noobish for this question, but with me having 21 hours in this game only having to hone my skills w/ 1v1 w/ an awesome friend of mine who is like, idk, some high-ass rank that I'm not familiar with and me with absolutely no rank at all and might be called a noob if I go into competitive.senaya wrote:

Honestly, I don't really like being called a "noob" or a "scrub", and I really want to get into this game because it might suit me until I get a game that I want to play. Do you think I should start playing competitive and give it my best? Will I be able to play with people for around the same skill as I am, and hopefully not some rank like in a tournament or something?
Play casual or deathmatch servers until you get a feel for the shooting mechanics.
Whenever you feel comfortable try competitive but remember to buy armor and double flashes

After 10 wins[draws count too somehow], You get ranked acording to your skills[you can get pretty much every rank, me and my friends got Master Guardian Elite after first matches, its kind like elo system in lol except is hidden and you can only see your bracket, you get higher or lower depending on your performance[you dont even need to win, what matters is how you did in match].ColdTooth wrote:

I played cs since the very beggining when it was just a mod and ran on WON and i'll say that GO is best thing that happened to cs in years, though i dont quite like playing the same maps over and over and valve servers are sometimes laggy[though its better than in beta] It has a frew things that i dont like in gameplay like smokes that are done way overboard for my tastes, but stil its better than source and equal to 1.6.
Community was always weak point in Counter-Strike, but CS:GO community is nothing compared to 1.6 in its better days. If you dont like to try your hardest you better of playing in team or just chilling out on custom serversa with mods or something. I like surfing between my matches.

MGE here, I don't play valve MM anymore, it's filled with cheaters and generally no fun. And servers are 64 tick so yeah, screw it. How do people even end up in Silver is beyond me though, it's the next level of bad.
