Just gonna use my first post to say that this map and song are both amazing.

I would try to help mod it but the only thing i can find is that maybe 02:13:508 (1) - should be moved to the right to make it flow to the next note.

Can't wait for it this to get ranked!

  2. 00:11:101 (1,2) - The rhythm here is pretty akward ! I don't get why you put that note on a blue tick !
  3. 00:12:305 (2) - Transition with that note is pretty hard ! Don't forget that it's the easiest diff of the mapset !
  4. 00:33:623 (1) - Remove that slider and add a few notes here : 00:33:623 (3) - and here :00:34:482 - ? It's better imo !
  5. 00:51:158 (3,1) - I guess that the symmetrical can be much better !
  6. 00:54:425 (3,1) - Transition is kinda akward here
  7. 00:56:660 (3,1) - I'd blanket this !
  8. 01:06:975 (2,3) - The transitition is a bit akward ! I'll curv one or two sliders or rotate them ! (Ctrl+Shift+R)
  9. 01:14:368 (1,2) - I'd do a blanket here ! Here's an example !
  10. 01:28:465 (1,2,3) - I'll improve the blanket quality here ! The transition between (2) and (3) is kinda decent but the transition between (1) and (2) is kinda akward when playing !

  1. Add EruJazz to tags
  2. I highly recommend you to use normal sampleset + soft whistle addition everywhere before 00:22:104 where you use only soft whistles. It's soooo worth it. If you find it time consuming, make a custom soft set and use normal-hitnormal as a clap.
  3. Use t/131540 to push changes on the other difficulties; this will also fix some finishes missing on, for example, Hyper.

Please note that the difficulty spread lacks balance. What you called Normal is too hard to be such, due to many 1/2 (and sometimes 1/4) sliders and their high velocity. A perfect solution would be to rename it into Hard and map an appropriate Normal which would fill the difficulty gap between Standard and Hyper. I am serious!

Slider shapes like 01:28:465 (1) - look good when they are not abused, but for some reason (I am convinced this is due to laziness, not lack of free time) you decided to paste them everywhere. The whole difficulty *before* the first kiai looks much, much better than what happens next. It was also that pre-kiai section from 02:01:130 to 02:50:643 that gave me hope, but when I saw that poor thing at 02:51:503, I changed my opinion back.

Summary:
  1. Standard could be mapped better, use the above recommendations in your free time;
  2. Normal is missing;
  3. Hard is called Normal;
  4. Hyper is mostly good (FOR TRAKTION'S SAKE, DON'T FORGET HITSOUNDS)
  5. Insane, apart from a few claps missing, and also other things, is just great!
You can have my support when you're done with Normal and a mod or two for it.

Normal has been replaced. I think it balances the difficulties better than the previous one.
I applied most of your modding for Insane and Hard, including the change in hitsounds at the beggining, new combos, missing claps and other stuff.

  • General
  1. ErunamoJazz is captialized differently in the Easy difficulty. Please make the tags consistent.
  2. You can already tell from the star rating that the naming of the difficulties is messed up:
    1. Easy has way too many 1/2-gaps and complex rhythms to be called an Easy. It is also really dense, especially in the kiais.
    2. Normal is also far too difficult - It is very dense, filled with 1/2 and uses high spacing.
    3. Hard is borderline acceptable as a difficulty name, but it is still pretty difficult for a Hard.
    4. Conclusion: There are two possibilities, but I'd highly recommend you to choose one of those. Rename your spread to either Normal | Hard | Light Insane/Hyper | Insane or Normal | Advanced/Normal+ | Hard | Insane. I'd prefer the first version, since the current Normal diff is more like a Hard instead of a Normal actually.


  • EruJazz's Easy
  1. The low difficulty settings aren't acceptable for this difficulty due to the readability of complex red-tick-rhyhms. Since it will be renamed to Normal anyways when you will be following my General advices, difficulty settings like this would be more appropriate: AR4 | OD3 | HP3
  2. 02:43:766 (2,3) - The transition could be a bit more smooth for the easiest difficulty of the mapset. For example: http://puu.sh/cv6uV/29ea29ff2e.jpg
  3. 03:18:150 (6) - NC please, for consistency with the other diffs.
  4. Overall fine. The high amount of 3/2-gaps is worrysome, but they are all followed by sliders, so if you will change the difficulty settings + difficulty name it should be fine.


  • Normal
  1. Just a suggestion, but you could rename it to Collab <insert diffname here> or <insert diffname here> Collab since ErunamoJazz also included his username into the title of his diff.
  2. To be perfectly readable, this difficulty will need higher difficulty settings. Since it will be renamed to either Advanced / Normal+ / Hard anyways when you follow my General advices, these would fit the difficulty level: AR6 | OD5 | HP5
  3. 00:36:717 (2,3,4) - The spacing looks weird here. Try to make it consistent in this pattern, so that the circles and sliderheads don't overlap!
  4. 00:43:078 (1) - Depending on wether this diff will be renamed to Advanced / Normal+ / Hard or whatever, the 1/1-gap after the spinner could be okay or not. When you rename it to Hard, it can stay, otherwise you need atleast a 2/1-gap of recovery time after the spinner.
  5. 02:11:789 (1) - This NC doesn't make sense to me.
  6. 02:26:230 - Missing clap.
  7. 02:42:391 (1,2,3) - Try to rearrange the rhythm like this: http://puu.sh/cv6gu/15b974de0f.jpg It will fit the instrument much better.
  8. 03:08:694 (1,2) - Ctrl+G'ing these objects (rhythm-wise) would create a much better rhythm, since it fits to the pitch of the instrument you are following.
  9. Many patters feel quite cramped since the objects are overlapping a lot, for example 00:22:964 (2,3,1,2,3,1) - It just doesn't feel tidy. Your spacing is also quite variable although I don't see the reason. It's nothing you can / must change of course, but it's something to consider for future mapping. If this is going to be renamed to either Advanced/Normal+/Hard, the map itself will be objectively alright. It could use some more rhythm checks though.


  • Hard
  1. You know that your Insane is really difficult - I failed it on my first try, although I am not the worst player, due to the constant 1/2-patterns in the kiais. That's why many players will play this Hard diff instead, when they can't pass the Insane. Don't fear to make the difficulty settings a bit higher, so it will be more fun! My suggestion is AR8 | OD7 | HP6.5.
  2. 01:50:127 (1) - Remove the NC for consistency with all other difficulties.
  3. Very impressive mapping.


If you will rename the difficulties and fix the difficulty settings, you can call me back. Before you do that, please search for some more mods on the Normal difficulty, preferably from modders who focus on rhythm. If you don't find anyone I can check it irc with the mappers.

EDIT: I talked to some BATs, because of the difficulty naming (yes, again *sigh*). It's not that it wouldn't make perfect sense now, but it's a bit weird to mix Standard and other difficulty naming like that. We came to the conclusion that it would be better if you could rename Insane to "Another", if that's not a problem for you.
