Hi there; modding for M4M.
*Bolded = Unrankable or strongly suggested; red = Highly suggested or questionable (still weaker than the bolded ones); black = Minor suggestions/rants; blue = Notes/advices to avoid/fix repeated problems. Also note that hitsound suggestions on a diff may apply on similar parts of the song and the other diffs of the mapset.

Did an IRC mod with Backstep since he noticed me modding his map.
I was quite in a hurry lol
That's all
Good luck on the way

- Don't you think 1.8x SV is quite fast, even though the song's BPM value is just 99? And what's more, the DS is only 0.6x... It's quite unbalanced, you know, since the sliders are fast but the spacing is small. It makes this diff a little uncomfortable to play. But no need to remap, I guess. Just saying my opinions.
- 01:02:792 (1,2) - Swap NC? This pattern is similar to 01:12:489 (4,1), and you NC'd the object that starts at the beginning of a new stanza instead of the one before it, so do it to make the combo pattern consistent, please.
- 01:11:580 (3,4,1) - Try this? Gives a nicer flow and makes the pattern look neater.
- 01:47:943 (2) - Since the instruments are strong on the white and red ticks here, why not mapping them instead of making a 3/4 slider? The instrument on the blue tick is weak, and it may confuse players since the stronger instruments aren't mapped. (Applies to all 3/4 sliders, actually; they feel quite forced here.)
- 02:10:974 (1) - You can improve the blanket with 02:09:761 (2) here by moving this slider one grid up and left.
- 02:18:246 (1,2,3,4,1) - Aren't these notes a little too hard for Easy players? I mean, it's a 5-note 1/2 stream here, and it can be too quick for them.
- 02:27:943 (1,2,3,4,1) - ^
- Whoa, now. The average (SV * BPM) value for Normal diffs are, from my observation, around 170 points. But in your map, the value is 237.6 (99 * 2.4)... I really want you to consider making the SV lower now, since it's just too fast. The SV you use here is actually bordering to what would be used in a Hard diff.
- 01:21:883 (3,4) - The flow can be better if you moved (3) to (52,304) and (4) to (164,348).
- 01:32:186 (1) - Make the blanket here better by moving the middle node to (44,232) and the last one to (132,148)?
- 00:19:458 (1,1) - I don't really like the overlap here. You can easily move the circle to the right, you know?
- 00:24:913 - Just saying: There's a strong instrument sound here, and yet you mapped the weaker ones around it, resulting in confusion for the players while hitting the slider. This happens occasionally throughout the diff, so I guess it's intentional, but it's just... awkward to play because of how you made the rhythm here.
- 00:37:186 (4) - The instrument at 00:37:034 makes it feel like as if this slider is placed there instead of at 00:37:186, making 00:36:883 (3,4) feel like a 1/4 jump. This is related to the previous point: You mapped the weaker instruments in a way that skips the strong ones and makes the players confused. I'd do something like this here, instead.
- 00:43:701 (2,3) - The flow is kinda strange here, because you had to hit 00:43:549 (1) first, then hold the short (2) slider, and you suddenly have to make a wider move to 00:44:004 (3). Just make the spacing consistent, I suppose?
- 01:27:792 (2,3) - Similar to 00:37:186 (4). This thing happens occasionally too across the diff, and it's kinda problematic. In the end, I just don't really like how you made the rhythm here; the other things are pretty fine. It's just the rhythm that can be confusing at times.
- 01:38:549 (2,3) - Make the spacing 0.8x, since that's the spacing you usually use if you want the 1/4 notes to touch each other?

21:42 Backstep: owo
21:42 Backstep: xD
21:42 Hinsvar: :D/
21:42 Hinsvar: I'm planning for an M4M with you actually lol
21:43 Backstep: Ah... I see and which your map o.o?
21:44 Backstep: I'll mod now before i'm busy with my homework :/
21:44 *Hinsvar is listening to [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/331138 BoA - Winter Love]
21:45 Backstep: Oh... I see your map now xD
21:45 Hinsvar: Uh, do you want an IRC mod for the Challenge diff instead?
21:45 Hinsvar: :D/
21:45 Hinsvar: Oh wait, you're about to mod my map now? o.o
21:45 Backstep: Sure, why not owo
21:45 Hinsvar: Oh, okay.
21:46 Hinsvar: Because I think it'll be easier to mod the diff this way.
21:46 Hinsvar: First off, I know this diff has a lot of jumps and the spacing is big in general, but...
21:46 Hinsvar: Why AR9?
21:47 Hinsvar: It just doesn't feel quite right, even with how intense the map is.
21:47 Hinsvar: I personally find myself more comfortable with AR8.
21:49 Backstep: Ah.. you're right D:
21:49 Backstep: fixed <3
21:50 Hinsvar: lol okay :D
21:50 Hinsvar: Hmm, let's see...
21:52 Hinsvar: 00:25:216 (5,6) - I prefer to see these two notes reversed (Ctrl+G).
21:52 Hinsvar: It flows better that way.
21:52 Hinsvar: The flow between 00:25:368 (6,7) - will be somewhat weird, though.
21:53 Hinsvar: Feel free to leave (5,6) unchanged if you don't want to rework the pattern lol
21:54 Backstep: haha I don't change here, coz i think my pattern flow better lol
21:54 Hinsvar: Fine then :P
21:55 Hinsvar: 00:26:580 - I'd add a note here; the instrument is relatively loud.
21:55 Hinsvar: Feels empty, you know.
21:56 Backstep: I agree, but if I add note what should I paste... cover with 00:26:731 (1) ? lol
21:58 Backstep: However I want player to rest a bit of stream :/
21:59 Hinsvar: Hmm, it doesn't feel like the correct time to give a rest, though.
22:00 Hinsvar: 00:23:852 (8) - I'd remove this one instead, since the instrument is very faint.
22:00 Hinsvar: That will allow a short time to rest, I suppose.
22:02 Hinsvar: For 00:26:580 - ...maybe [http://puu.sh/5MkHt.jpg this] will work?
22:04 Hinsvar: 00:28:549 (7,8,9,10) - Maybe make them a square? Flows way better than the previous pattern, where 00:28:246 (5,6,7,8) - is too linear, IMO.
22:05 Hinsvar: 00:37:943 (5) - I know you want to make the end stacked with 00:36:428 (1) - , but this makes the spacing inconsistent.
22:06 Hinsvar: Also, because of how intense the map is, it can easily be readable as a 1/4 jump...
22:06 Hinsvar: Especially with the instrument at 00:37:792 - .
22:10 Backstep: 00:28:549 (7,8,9,10) - About this I think it fine... but 00:28:701 (8,9) - will hard to see note a bit :/
22:11 Hinsvar: Yeah, exactly what I have in mind too.
22:11 Hinsvar: It's kinda hard to make a square without getting stuff overlapped.
22:13 Hinsvar: 00:47:186 (6) - Make it like [http://puu.sh/5Mlcp.jpg this]? Again, nicer flow~
22:14 Backstep: Ah... okay ^
22:15 Hinsvar: 00:52:337 (5,6,7) - I'd make a triangle like [http://puu.sh/5MljP.jpg this] to make the flow better.
22:15 Hinsvar: ...I'm talking about flow a lot today lol
22:16 Hinsvar: There's a chance that (7) will overlap 00:53:398 (12) - , though.
22:16 Hinsvar: This is difficult lol
22:17 Backstep: lol
22:17 Hinsvar: 01:02:186 (5) - Move this to (324,48)? :P
22:17 Hinsvar: I think you know the reason already.
22:17 Hinsvar: I'm bored of saying "flow" all the day ``
22:18 Hinsvar: Not that the flow is really bad though; just had a lot of ideas to improve it today.
22:18 Backstep: It should be 324, 42 orz owo
22:19 Hinsvar: Do as you wish :P
22:19 Hinsvar: 01:04:155 (6,7) - Ctrl+G?
22:19 Hinsvar: The current flow feels pretty forced lol
22:21 Hinsvar: 01:14:004 (4,1,2,3,4) - I'd make a star or a polygon to follow how the instruments are played, instead.
22:21 Hinsvar: It's hard to explain, but it does feel better.
22:22 Backstep: I think I can do it :3
22:22 Hinsvar: Go ahead then :P
22:25 Hinsvar: Oh good, my parents are starting to tell me to go off.
22:25 Hinsvar: I'll try to keep modding, but I think I won't have the time to post the log lol
22:26 Hinsvar: 01:42:792 (5) - http://puu.sh/5MlLt.jpg ?
22:26 Hinsvar: For flow, yep.
22:26 Backstep: save your log first before go to bed :0
22:27 Hinsvar: I'll save it of course :D
22:27 Hinsvar: 01:56:883 (2,3) - Don't you think players will mistake (2) to be the head of the slider, while it's actually (3)?
22:29 Hinsvar: 02:22:186 (7,8) - The flow will be better if they were reversed/Ctrl+G'd, but it will break the pattern here, I guess.
22:29 Hinsvar: Okay, that's all.
22:29 Hinsvar: The other things look fine to me.
22:31 Backstep: Thanks for IRC mod :3
22:31 Hinsvar: No problem :D
22:31 Hinsvar: I have to be quick.
I was quite in a hurry lol
That's all
Good luck on the way
