Insane

  1. pains me to say this but maybe AR8 would be better for this diffspread .-.
  2. the whistle thing goes for this too (see the hard)
  3. 00:07:609 (1) - is the sliderwhistle on this track your intention? (click the slidertrack and remove that whistle if it isnt)
  4. 00:18:686 (1,2) - could you make these 2 blankets have the same gap?
  5. 00:38:532 (4,5,6,7) - this is like really forced, disregard this stack and make a proper curve it's more pleasant to look at !
  6. 00:38:994 (1,2) - avoid overlap plox it's unnecessary
  7. 00:44:071 (5,6,1) - how about an even DS between those 3 objects?
  8. 00:59:301 (1) - whistlefinish kthx
  9. 01:48:225 (5) - could have these blanket
  10. 01:50:532 (8) - would split these up in 2 sliders this is kinda anticlimactic right now

Hard

  1. CS 3.5 for a better diffspread i guess (my normal is CS 3 so the hard could use 3.5?)
    should need more objects in the beginning, this is nearly as easy as my Normal.... Lol, i guess that's a bit too much 1/1 rhythm you could do things like 00:06:686 (2,3,1) - more often here imo

  3. 00:05:763 (1,2) - is this the same slider ? Because i don't think it is, could look better if those were the same

  18. 01:47:301 (1,3) - CRTL+G twice for both!
  19. 02:01:840 - add a bar with 5% volume, that's no issue since there is no real music there anymore and thus the slider should be as quiet as possible

  3. soft-hitnormal11.wav - the same as your soft-hitnormal, just used in another context
  4. soft-sliderslide11.wav - a blank sliderslide
  5. soft-slidertick11.wav - the soft-hitnormal for slidertick hitsounding
  6. soft-sliderslide12.wav - a silent sliderslide
  7. soft-slidertick11.wav - a soft-hitnormal from the standard skin for hitsounding, do not remove any of those from the folder, K :D

general

  1. you should notice that insane has almost no preparation time before the first note, so you gonna need audioleadin. on the 5th line of your .osu files, add some number between 1500-2000 in the place where you do things
  2. applies for nozhomi diffs: for the first hitsound section (the bpm marker) you may want to lower it so that it's not louder than the section at 00:14:994 (1) - . the custom hitnormal sound at the second section is a lot quieter than the one in the beginning and it's weird having soft part loud and loud part quiet. if you really want to keep the beginning loud, you could increase the volume at 00:14:994 (1) - like oko's difficulty. whichever one you like more
  3. not that it really matters, but your preview point is unsnapped :/
  4. your background resolution is not-osu-approved but someone will come fix that soon, so don't worry about it
  5. if this is used for some league thing, you may want to put that in the tags/source (i dunno which since i dunno specifics about the song origin blahblah)

  1. in general, spacing has a lot of inconsistency type things when moving from sliders to other objects in 1/4 rhythms. what i mean by this is you've got half of your 1/4 sliderstuffs like 00:57:225 (9,10,1,2,3) - where they're overlapping, then places 00:44:994 (2,3,4,5,6) - where the 1/4 rhythms are jumps. they're the same rhythms with different spacing and it screws with my head. another thing that is sort of an overall thing is that a lot of the sliderbodies are shaped really oddly, especially around 01:20:071 (3) - . i mention them a few times in the actual mod too, but in the places that i don't, i probably should have
  2. 00:07:148 (7,8,1) - spacing with these felt kind of weird. it's like there's a line between them, but having the distance between 7,8 being double that of 8,1 feels really wrong. i tried swtiching 00:06:917 (6) - with 00:07:378 (8) - and that issue was fixed cuz angles and spacing and flow and everything
  3. 00:08:071 (2,4) - tail overlap ewwwww

  8. 00:34:378 (3) - uh..something's wrong with this anchor. if you try moving it, you'll see that it works in the way that multi-anchor sliders do. you should probably re-make the slider so it uses the fancy anchor thingy and that way it'll blanket with 2 a lot better
  9. 00:37:609 (2,3) - the way these flow seems off. it's like the flow is close to what it was from 1 -> 2, but not quite. best fix would be to either rotate 2 clockwise a little bit or move 3 lower (like on 1's head). image points out the "issue"
  10. 00:47:532 (6,7) - moving from a straight slider into another straight slider at a slightly different angle -- looks off for sure. easiest way to fix it would be to just change 6 into two circles cuz of that thing i said about spacing in the beginning and yeah
  11. 00:54:801 (4,5,6) - starting 1/4 sliders on 1/4 beats. not cool. if you were to move the reverse to be the first slider thing here it would make it so that the 1/4 start on white/red ticks, as they should for emphasis
  12. 00:59:417 (1,1,2) - seems weird to have the spinner end on the downbeat at 01:02:994 - the spinner doesn't have much emphasis and considering the bar lines (big white ticks) should have the most emphasis, as stated by your whistle hitsound thingy, it would be best to have an object there. you could just end the spinner on the prior red tick and have a circle in the middle of hte grid or something (if you do change remember to take the whistle off the spinner and put it on the circle)
  13. 01:03:225 (1,2) - even if you don't change the previous thing^, you should at least blanket these as if there were a circle in the center of the grid. the spinner is like an ultimate blanket machine and you are not blanketting the ultimate blanket you must be a bad person.
  14. 01:12:225 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - your current pattern here makes it really hard to recognize that this is all 1/3 rhythms. for something like this you really should emphasize each white tick with your patterns and rhythms, or else it just looks like the usual 1/4 rhythms. so reverse sliders, triangles, whatever you need to do for this do. just don't end sliders on the white ticks or i will personally nuke you
  15. 01:14:532 (2) - copy paste of 1, yeah, but it doesn't blanket 1 very well because of that. you did the right thing with 01:16:378 (2) -

So i don't really get how this is hidden it's a blue thing changing into a red thing, it's like really obvious where this is gonna go and therefore i conclude that it is not really hidden but more of a straightforward way to place it. ALSO THE WHOLE REST OF THE MAP UTILIZES THIS VERY PATTERN IF YOU FAIL IT ONCE WHICH I DOUBT YOU DO (i had a 600k guy play it and he passed ez) YOU WILL GET IT THE 2ND TIME THIS APPEARS
  3. 00:20:071 (3) - Let's change a little bit this slider to make it more blanket to the previous slider, ok? :D ► A blanket is not really possible for these because the Distance snap of 1.2x demands them to be overlapping each other. So if you can do a blanket which overlaps those both sliders and blankets them, i would be tempted to give it a try but also i think that this one is kind of ok the way it flows into the other objects so i will not change this
  4. 00:20:532 (1) - Could you change this slider a bit? Maybe move it to (72;276) and change some points in it? I advice to move them: 2nd point (120;284), 3rd (168;256). And maybe place 00:21:455 (2) - at (255;183) You know, a better flow and spacing. ;) ► I just rotated it by -5 degrees because that's like all that this would need in order to have a more smooth flow line, also I and many others you mod for would appreciate you to have boxes containing your pictures so that you can illustrate your points in the mod and they can actually click just one spoilerbox and see what you're talking about, also examples you give that way will be much easier to recreate by having a concrete example of what you're talking about.
  5. 00:25:840 (3,1,3,1) - Again - please, avoid overlapping like this in the easier difficulties. It should be more readable for newer players. ;< ► I already answered this in-depth and gave my reasons for thinking it is ok, if you can prove my otherwise by citing the ranking criteria or any other guideline which clearly states that you should break the DS for avoiding overlaps or that you should unstack everything in a normal i would love to read it and then change my stuff up but i don't think that exists

If more people think that this stack is really an issue i will change it if they don't i won't.

► If you want to make your mods more useful you could adhere to some of these guidelines:
  1. Suggest a thing that is oftentimes done in the same way throughout a map only once or twice because if the one you're modding for rejects the first one and two he is most likely to reject everything else as well
  2. Do not overwrite the mappers style with your suggestions it's not only a quite forcful move (as you basically assume you are better than the mapper) it also almost never fits the map because it is indeed a different style
  3. You should follow a general structure in your mod to make it more clear why you would want to see some things changed:
    1. Point out what the issues is
    2. Point out why it is even an issue
    3. Point out what could be done to fix it
    4. remember to choose a solution which fits the overall theme and style of the map
    Adhering to some pattern like this will make things like "maybe rotate for -35 degrees" more clearly because it points out the issue, why its an issue and provides a solution for said issue in the next step which is easier to understand and to read and to accept for the mapper
  4. If your argument is a thing about rankability make sure you list your SOURCE for this argument because otherwise you will never get HanzeR to change some of his SlideRs (lollllll) because according to you and maybe even to peppy most of the overlaps he uses are considerably unrankable and if you cannot find anything about this being unrankable better not say it this way at all
  5. almost never argumentate with anchors and their coordinates only as i already mentioned while answering this mod: Since you got puush and know how to use it it would be by far more apropiate to include several boxes containing images which you would suggest for patterns or whatever! it's just that these instructions are easier to follow then because you will actually see the outcome before going through the effort of making it yourself just to go like "no this makes no sense" / "no this does not look good at all" and then to undo everything you placed for about 10 mins again.


► Step it up, i think this pushes you into a more constructive and easier to understand way of modding and also increases the overall quality and readability of your mods. GL for the future and i actually accepted one suggestion partly..............

  1. The jump in approach rate from Normal to Hard is too much (AR4 -> +3 -> AR7). Try using AR4.5 or even AR5 for the Normal difficulty. AR6 is by far too high for a Normal with this song.
  2. You should uncheck letterbox during breaks as your beatmap does not feature any breaks.
  3. Check your AI mod for "Audio Lead-in Conflicts"
  4. You also need to uncheck Widescreen support as your beatmap does not feature a storyboard.

  1. General: Hitsound volumes are really loud, especially for 00:00:225 -. Consider lowering it by 5%/10%/15%.
  2. 00:01:609 (3) - Curve this slider to play nicer and for consistency with 00:05:301 (3) -.
  3. 00:07:609 (1) - There is a slider tick hitsound here, so there should be a slider tick hitsound on 00:11:301 (1) - and 00:13:148 (1) - because they follow the same instrumental.
  4. General: For parts like 00:14:994 -, consider using 80% for the base volume. 100% is a bit much and the hitsounds are much louder than the song itself.
  5. For consistency with all your previous and next patterns, you should map 00:16:609 - and 00:23:994 -. If this feels a bit too much, then you should make the current pattern consistent (i.e: do this "skip of the beat" every 4th downbeat for the whole song).
  6. 00:39:917 (2,3,1) - Two objects pointing in the same way like this can play a bit confusing. I suggest that you make it straight like your previous patterns or curve it like e.g: 00:30:686 (2,3,1) -.
  7. 00:43:609 (2,3,1) - It would be nice if these 3 objects had a consistent Y-axis difference. The current is a bit off.
  8. 00:47:301 (3,4,1) - Move this up a bit to e.g: x152 y:160 to flow nicer and help avoid confusion for the player (current is a bit too close). You may need to move some parts for distance snap.

  11. 01:02:994 - Follows the same instrumental as 00:00:225 -, but you gave it 100% volume. You should really add another inherited point and lower this number.
  12. 01:17:763 (1) -, 01:19:609 (1) - I somehow hate these slider tick sounds so much. This is usually the sound that you hear when you hit an object, it shouldn't be in the middle of a slider, that's really confusing! Try using a different hitsound or removing the slider tick completely. Which brings me to my next point
  13. 01:14:071 - Is extremely quiet. I strongly recommend that you do not use 100% volume for quiet parts. I found 70% to be a balance of hitsound and the song. 75% is also a reasonable choice.
  14. 01:19:609 (1) - I see what you did here but I dislike forced slider curves like this so much. Maybe it would look nicer if you tried a re-map of 01:17:763 (1,2,1) - completely.
  15. 01:21:455 (1,2) - Why curved sliders like this at a time like this? I hear no indication in the music that would call for a curved slider. If you are going to keep these, I think it would look nicer if it was symmetrical to the Y-axis instead of where it currently is. If you could re-map the previous pattern in which these objects were to be symmetrical across the Y-axis, that would be great.
  16. Just something minor, but if you slightly move 01:36:225 (1,2,3) - then you can get it on the exact Y-axis, then move 01:38:071 (1,2) - so circle 2 stacks with the previous circle 2. Would make it play really well, especially when users have the default setting of Hit Lighting enabled.
  17. 01:41:301 (3,1) - This kind of overlaps really bad with 01:39:455 (3) -. More so, it's as if this whole part at 01:38:994 (2,3,1,2,3,1) - is taking up the upper right side of the grid. Consider re-mapping to give more grid diversity and prevent the awkward overlap.
  18. 01:45:455 (1) - This slider's end covers part of the slider track, which can be really confusing for the novice. You must fix this.
  19. 01:48:686 (3) - Curve this slider for consistency with your next pattern.
  20. 01:50:071 (2,3,1,2,3,1) - I personally think all these 1/2s are a bit long and may make the player go crazy. Your decision though.
  21. Change the beat snap divisor to 1/6 before this gets ranked in memory of the One Sixth.

  1. "soft-sliderslide12" is completely unneeded. S:C12 is only used to change slidertick's hitsounding, but you can't affect the sliderslide within a slider, so this file is useless.
  2. Your Background is 1366x766, though the recommended size is 1366x768. Although it's just a minor change, it won't hurt to resize it this way.
  3. Currently, not all the diffs use Audio-Leadin 1500! Some use 0 instead. Please apply 1500 to all diffs, since the map starts immediately where the music starts.
  4. You could add to the tags: "All-Stars 2014 League Of Legends Paris", since that seems to be where most people know this song from, so they can search after it and find it :)
  5. Your combo-colours don't really fit the beautiful background. Try to give them a bit less chroma and don't use such a light blue, because it really doesn't look good. I made some better combo colours for you:

  3. 00:14:532 (2,3) - Ich würde dir empfehlen, hier einen 1/2-Slider statt zwei Circlen zu benutzen, denn so ein 1/2-Triplet ist für die Newbies schwer zu tappen. Da das hier die einfachste Diff im Set ist, und du das auch nur einmal mit Circlen gemappt hast, solltest du das ändern :3
  4. 00:39:917 (2) - Wenn der Slider nicht so stark kurvig wäre, dann wäre der Übergang zu den nächsten Objekten besser :3
  5. 00:59:417 (1) - Starte den Spinner lieber auf dem roten Tick direkt danach, das ist besser für Normals weil es dann nicht so schnell erscheint und sich auch in anderen Modes besser spielt :)
  6. 01:08:532 (1) - Der Slider sieht nicht schön aus. Die erste Kurve ist zu kurvig, und bei der zweiten könnte der Punkt in der Mitte etwas.. mittiger sein, so wie im Screenshot, damit die Kurve besser aussieht.
  7. 01:11:071 - Dieser Beat sollte auf jeden Fall gemappt werden, einfach weil hier das Instrument im Hintergrund (irgendne Art Gitarre) sehr gut zu hören ist. Ersetze z.b. den Rhythmus 01:10:378 (1,2) durch folgendes: (der Slider sieht sowieso nicht so gut aus :b)
  8. 01:12:225 (1,1) - Zwischen einem Spinner und dem folgenden Objekt sollte in einer Normal mehr Platz sein als eine 1/1-Lücke. 2/1 sind da eher angebracht. Es gibt hier keine richtig perfekte Lösung. Ich würde den Spinner bei 01:14:071 enden lassen und 01:14:071 (1) den Slider einfach löschen. Das wär dann dieser Rhythmus:

Ich hab zwar noch keine andere Normal von dir gesehen, aber im Vergleich zu den Extras hat es schon mal viel mehr Struktur und spielt sich ganz gut ^-^ Rankable ist die Diff auf jeden Fall, aber ich hoffe das ein paar Flow-Übergänge noch durch andere Modder behoben werden.

Examples are 00:22:378 (1,2,3) + 00:19:609 (3,4,1) + 00:20:532 (1,2,3). This only applies to the spacing before and after circles, as these varations aren't really noticable when using sliders. So I'd recommend you to go through this diff and look at the spacings around circles, so you can make it more clean :3
  2. It seems that you forgot some NCs: 00:02:071 (3) + 00:09:455 (4) + 00:13:148 (4) + 00:35:301 (4) + 01:04:840 (5) + 01:08:532 (3) + 01:30:686 (4) + 01:34:378 (4) + 01:38:301 (4) + 01:41:763 (5) + 01:45:455 (5)

  11. You really improved, especially with Hard diffs. It is very good. It might be a little repetetive at some parts, since you often use the very same rhythms, as well as patterns (you very often ctrl+g + ctrl+h 1/1-sliders), but if you fix the spacing inconsistencies as well as some slidershapes you'll be on a good way with this!


  • Insane
  1. Although you improved, this diff still needs some work. Generally, you should care more about your consistency. You already have good rhythm consistency, but consistent distance spacing is also important in some aspects, especially for 1/4-streams. The distances of your streams have very much variation, which gives an untidy feel to the player.
  2. Also, some of your slidershapes seem rather unappealing / not fitting to the song, but it's mostly the same shapes that I listed in the Hard diff, so you should know which ones I mean :)
  3. 00:03:225 (4,5) - I'd reommend you to ctrl+g these, as currently your flow is pretty awkward, specifically the transition here 00:02:532 (2,3,4). The jump to (4) just doesn't feel intuitive.
  4. 00:07:609 (1,2) - It looks really weird that you used two different slidershapes here. It would fit your style much better if you would have used a copy-pasted version for both sliders.
  5. 00:21:917 (5,6,1) - There is no reason not to make the spacing consistent here o:
  6. 00:41:763 (3) - Ctrl+g on this would really improve the flow with the previous objects.
  7. 01:09:917 (5) - I don't understand why you didn't use 1,0x spacing here. It would fit better, because you used this spacing before in this section :)
  8. 01:25:148 (1,2,3) - I don't like how (1) and (3) overlap each other. You might want to change this pattern, in oder to fix it?
  9. This needs some more mods to get better, but I'm sure it'll be an awesome diff afterwards! It's very fun to play already :3

  1. Although you improved, this diff still needs some work. Generally, you should care more about your consistency. You already have good rhythm consistency, but consistent distance spacing is also important in some aspects, especially for 1/4-streams. The distances of your streams have very much variation, which gives an untidy feel to the player. - All stream are now 0.5x !
  2. Also, some of your slidershapes seem rather unappealing / not fitting to the song, but it's mostly the same shapes that I listed in the Hard diff, so you should know which ones I mean :) - But...I love them :(
  3. 00:03:225 (4,5) - I'd reommend you to ctrl+g these, as currently your flow is pretty awkward, specifically the transition here 00:02:532 (2,3,4). The jump to (4) just doesn't feel intuitive. - Fix

Das wär dann dieser Rhythmus: ► Ich habe ein ernsthaftes problem damit deinen spinner auf diesem Downbeat enden zu lassen nur damit der platz zum naechsten objekt 2/1 betraegt.

  3. 01:10:378 (1) - uuuh i really have doubts here, the red tick here 01:11:071 sounds offbeat, it may be 1/3 if you follow guitar, which is most powerful.
  4. 01:15:917 (1,2,3,4,1) - this shape is not really well done, try to adjust notes to give a nicer shape.
  5. 01:50:994 (1) - i don't really agree with the hitsound on the slider tick. I know you dont want to make this pattern extreme for players but you can find another solution. This strong note should be played 01:51:455, but well, it's up to you to change.

    Solid diff, didnt find anything wrong with this diff, Good job.

■ OD 4? Ist immerhin die leichteste diff in dem Spread und evtl ist OD5 zu schwer für Anfänger. Zeugs wie 4,5 sollte auch gehen.
Da ich gerne mal mit den Hitsoundlautstärken rumspiele hier mal ne kleine Idee: Für alles was ähnlich oder gleich wie 00:16:378 (3) - ist, könntest du den Endtick um ~20% (auf 60%) leiser machen. Das ganze ergibt in meinem Kopf dann eine schönere Überleitung auf den nächsten Downbeat.
Alternativ würden auch leise Whistle Hitsounds darauf passen, da du die ja so oder so in den lauteren Parts verwendest.

■ 01:08:532 (1) - Sliderhitsound auf den hardtick?

■ 01:28:609 (5,6) - and 01:50:763 (4,5) - should be spaced just as much as 01:43:378 (4,5) - (you know, for consistency)
01:54:686 (1) - This is a rather ugly overlap with 01:53:763 (3) - . I'd recommend that you rework 01:53:763 (3,4,1,2,3,4) - . First of all, the jump from 01:53:532 (2) - to 01:53:763 (3) - feels rather weird as youve had no jump like this before in your diff. The rest of similar combos ends (most of the time) on a nice, flowy blanket. This one forces the player to go to the bottom left (1), do the small leap to the top right like theyre used to (2) and then leap even further to (3).
Then it forces a weird flow to the next combo's (1), which makes you move to the right. At the end, you just start to notice that (2) is hidden under (1)'s head and you quickly have to react to the jump there. This might not be fun to play and/or can result in a combo break because the player wasnt able to read it properly.

■ 00:09:455 (1,2) - These 2 have a rather weird flow as both of them move to the right. I'd suggest a ctrl+g, but then the rest of it would feel off. I guess it is up to you if you do it or not, but I thought that I'd point it out

I'd suggest to change the curve of 1 to make 2 on the same curve as 1, but it may change too much the flow between 2 and 3 that are already good. I mean something like this http://puu.sh/aD5mX/41e6c4ba5d.jpg ✔ yes, this should be somehow similar to what you meant
