You will probably all think I'm mad But can you imagine playing OSU with the Oculus rift. 8-)


the way i think it would be best is if you have a full 180 degrees (panoramic) view from left to right and about 120 degrees up and down.

all you would do to hit the notes would be, look at them and click / z,x

You would have a cursor like it is now but it would have to be smaller an appear a bit further in front of the notes

It would add a whole new dimension (horrible pun intended) to beat-mapping as well as a whole new competitive field :D

What do you guys think? :)

If I understood this correctly, you have a fixed cursor in the middle of the screen and you move your head to control the cursor.

Right.. now imagine AR10 songs there. I'm pretty sure most people would get a headache from moving the head too fast. :D

Learn kabuki now... you'll need a lot of time to master it so chop chop xD



This kind of "intuitive tracking" will become more practical when "eyeball tracking" gets cheaper and more accessible. As for straining my neck... uhh...

Well what i was thinking so that you are not moving your head very much--
When you move your head left for example the background would move slightly right. Just so you are not whipping back and forth.

I don't know :P i think it might be cool.

Or maybe like a 'Spaceship mode' like asteroids where the notes come towards you.

osu on the oculus rift would probably be the death of me :3

And by that I mean I would snap my neck jumping back and forth xD

Slight latency lag so ar10=DEATH But yeah, the oculus emulates the cursor so It's more or less being controlled by my head also the screen still rotates when you turn your head but I think that's an option to turn that off, really dizzifying though :cry:

Just the thought of doing spinners in Occulus Rift cracks me up so much I don't even know why.

Playing osu! in Occulus Rift seems like an exercise for the neck,in my opinion.
But when we talk about playing AR10 maps,well, Goodbye world.

Though I think the number of people wearing glasses will gradually increase,especially those hardcore osu!players out there.
