Well, why is dota nearly perfectly balanced then? And a game being marketed to casual players isn't an excuse for bad game balance.

You can market a game to casual players without ruining it for the rest of the player base. I mean that's what league has been doing since pre-season 1. LOL. Any veteran player can tell you the balance of the game has progressively gotten worse every season except for season 2 which was actually pretty good. No one is asking for perfect balance, but the choices riot has made lately have been really really stupid.

With all that aside I was recently flown out to Santa Monica and interviewed for a game designer position at Riot. Whether I got the job or not is unknown. Then again it's only been a few days . LOL

How can you take that serious? It's an analogy to all your posts in here. I agree season 2 was the best but it was also almost as unstable as right now? I remember blazing my way into highest ranks with jungle skarner/maokai when I didnt even play them before but couldn't do shit with my best champs. The game has been meta-focused from the very beginning,idk what makes people believe this can be turned into a game where everything is equal? It won't happen,it's literally impossible now that we are this far. It's not like I like everything riot does,but for me it's whatever and I just cope with it. The game isn't bad for me or it feels super unbalanced,I can deal with a game that has a changing meta,that makes something stronger and something weaker at certain times. Obviously I would love for my favourite champions to be OP so I can play them and win but who cares,if you can't adapt you suck. It's just pissing me off people rage at Riot when this is literally always like this,but now there's so many more people in this game that the voice is becoming louder and louder. There are ways to make more than 20 champions viable and I've already posted a bunch of those ideas here in this thread It's not impossible. Also the beginning of season 4 had the most variety league has ever had since the end of season 2, but they nerfed a bunch of stuff that forced the 20 champions into the scene. Riot forces the meta with their poor balance decisions.

Turning everything equal is the problem with this game as I said in my previous post that your quoted. I never once said that making things equal is the way to go.. Doing that removes any form of niche champions can have. Like the Leblanc rework for example.

Just because you can deal with bad balance doesn't mean it is right. Kinda selfish to say something like that.

The Amsterdam server change made my ping 10 times worse than it was before, and it already was shitty

I used to be on a stable 80ms (but I'd get terrible neverending lag spikes in at least half of my games)

The lowest I've seen now is 92 and it's NEVER stable, the best situation I had was a game where it "only" spiked between 95 and 130

I made a statistic of my last 10 games, in 8 of them I got an "attempting to reconnect" lasting at least 1 minute + ping spiking between 95 and 300

In 1 of them I've only got huge ping spikes

And in the other one my ping only spiked between 95 and 130

They are still working on the server, so you should expect things like that. Get worried when they finish job and your ping get worse. For the moment the only thing you could do is to tracert the server and try VPN for better routings .

ADC itemization changes look interesting. BT looks like shit-tier to me now, the new mana item might be the revival of Ezreal and IE looks like the item to go for. 2 Doran's should be enough for the early sustain. BotrK looks strong as a mid- to lategame lifesteal item, especially on champs like Vayne. BT only looks good on safe champs like Caitlyn to me, but we'll see.

IE Rush all the way! Vayne should be really good atm; she will be hurt really bad if a cait gets ie really fast.

Map is really awesome, but a lot of the champions look freakin disgusting on it especially the very old ones. Need more VU's to come out faster. =\

It just went on the PBE like an hour ago. Not sure when it's coming to the live servers.

The color scheme of the new map doesn't mix very well with the older champions who have brighter colors. The new Karthus fits perfectly, but when you put something like Sion on there it looks terrible. lol

All I want for patch 4.10 is to see champions that aren't played anymore in competitive scene. Especially champions in bot lane since they changed a lot of things in that lane. A comeback for Sona maybe?

Yup, I think poke lanes will be more dominant on 4.10 again. Lifesteal got more expensive and the new support item makes champs like Sona, Lulu and Karma pretty strong.

True, but my point is bright colored champions do not mix well with the new color scheme of the new map. Even stuff like Yasuo and Vi stand out like a sore thumb. Looks awkward.

They should just go back and dull some colors on some champions.

FPS seems slightly higher on my end. I've always had 60+.
Old SR with vsync off = 290 -300
New SR with vsync off = 300+

So people with lower end PC's shouldn't lag.

Bot will probably seem some changes
Mid will stay the same though I doubt Leblanc will be must pick/ban much in the competitive play. Idk broken mobility going to be broke.
jungle will stay roughly the same
Top will see some changes and will probably go back to doran shield start every game.

Early game sustain nerf hit top lane pretty hard which I'm fine with. Giving almost everyone super sustain early up there was stupid anyways.

They just need to get rid of percent based damage on tanks, it's completely stupid to the point where Shyvana, Reneketon and Jax and main picks for top lane.

None of those are actual tanks though. Tanky yes but not tanks. True tanks are stuff like Leona, Maokai, Shen and Nautilus.

Bruiser/Fighters whatever people call them now aren't problematic with their percent damage alone. Heck a lot of them would be near unplayable without it (Warwick).

Shyvana, Jax and Renekton are problematic in their own ways.

Does Shyvana need to have innate armor/magic res for free on her passive? No
Will she be viable and still a good pick without it? Yes

Does Jax's counter strike need to do all of what it does? Deal damage, increased damage for how many auto's he blocks, reduce damage (immune to auto's) and CC a target? No
Will Jax still be viable if his counter strike lost a portion of it's damage entirely? Yes

Does Renektons Ult need to deal damage while giving him a bunch of health? No
Will Renekton still be viable and still a good pick without it? Maybe

Bruisers are a problem because of stuff like all that. Just a horribly designed role for any Moba to be honest.

You either deal damage or you tank. You can't have both. This also applies to more dps oriented roles as well.

Maybe they need to rework some heroes to be more like dota. Early/mid game damage dealers and late game tanks/supports.

I think Urgot was actually a good champion that got nerfed way too hard.

Urgot is a by-product of Riots "nerf into oblivion and deal with later" garbage they like to do to champions.

I would love for Riot to incorporate some of Dota and even Smites balance philosophies into their game. Smite recently reworked almost every bruiser in the game because just like in league they were tanky and dealt a lot of damage while having a fuck load of unnecessary CC. Their kits were overloaded just like a lot of bruisers in league are. Even after all the nerfs the bruisers are still good except other stuff has windows to actually kill or get away from them if they are fed.

Not only did that make the game healthier, but it brought some of the weaker bruisers back into play because they could actually compete with the others.

This game would be boring if it was perfectly balanced.

I always buy Youmuu's on Riven. She is already really mobile and with Youmuu's she's even more mobile. It also gives a little crit chance, which is nice.

Pretty nice on Twitch and Quinn, if youre ahead of course, otherwise I'd prefer LW. Not sure about the other AD carries, just seems to not scale well with alot of them, possible draven? Havent played him much but the movement speed with his w , and attack speed would be nice for him I guess.

Surprisingly, the enemy team lagged just as hard as we did and we were always closer to dragon when we did lag so we made a comeback just stealing dragon every time it spawned. The server was too unstable during the game and I was hoping I'd get into my promos, but I ended up with 98LP. Troll. Very much troll.

Pretty sure it said jungle specific item and champion buffs. God forbid they give something like top lane shyvana better tank itemization.

Nerf Kha'Zix and Lee Sin is a pretty bad idea. Once they got massively nerfed, they are useless. Once they are buffed, they are too OP. An unstable kit. I presume
