My internet has been acting pretty normal lately. It did act slow yesterday but that only lasted for 5 minutes..Kirai- wrote:

1. Only your top score is recorded. The higher the combo the better the score. Basically, High Combo C > Low Combo S. Don't judge your score based on the grade, judge it by combo and accuracy.
edit: if you had an S, and got a higher score but it was a C, that C score will replace your S score. osu! will only look at your highest score on each map.
2. your max combo^0.8/song's max combo^0.8 factors in how much pp you'll receive. Basically, if you only get a half combo, you're already saying good bye toat least half the pp you could have achieved if you full combo'ed.
3. If you want to gain pp, full combo songs. Easy as that. If you want to improve, keep doing what you do. But know that full combo-ing songs also helps you improve stamina and consistency... they aren't completely useless to improving.

My combo on the C score on Vanishment this world was 275.. my B score had a combo of 459monstrata wrote:

Sometimes, when you go back from a score-screen to menu too fast, your score doesn't register online. It happened to me a few times.
But which score was higher? Only the highest score is counted so even though you had a higher combo and a B, you must've messed up your combo a lot more on that run resulting in a lower score.Pretzel-kun wrote:

Oh... I didnt see it was tv-size. thought it was full sized. That's unfortunate
Edit: dang though. a 450x combo on Insane at that level is hard to believe. Are you sure you aren't comparing a 450x Combo on Hard to a 250x Combo on Insane? Either way i think a screenshot of your local scores would really explain a lot.

The C score with the 275 combo had a 1.3 mil score.. the 459 combo had a 3.4 mil score.

But my scores don't submit.. so the global rank will still be a C with a 1.3 mil score.

From what I've gathered from watching he lacks the ability to full combo and is really picky with what he plays.
Just download something to record and when you actually fc and it doesn't submit send it to peppy.

To be honest I have no idea what could be going on, but it's the reason your rank is going down at the very least (you aren't getting pp, other people are getting pp = other people passing you). There's a bunch of reasons this could be happening--internet issues, firewall issues, etc.--but I'm assuming you've already checked all of this. I'll post on your tech support thread if I find out anything relevant.

judging from your profile stats you're like my friend who loves to play beatmaps out of his league resulting bad overall accuracy.
the thing is its not about fcing or finishing a ridiculously hard map but its all about having a really good accuracy say 96%+ to gain enough pp.
I remember the time when I just keep on playing saiya remote control insane I was like 320 combo on it ranking B how much pp it gave me ? well 5 or 6 iirc, almost to no worth. I know its not an FC, a good example though. besides how can you say FC when you rank B or C on some maps unless you are consistent at clicking 50's.
TL;DR: improve your accuracy, settle for easier maps for now.
and also if you are picky with songs then download as many beatmaps as possible. you might find few to your likings which you might do extremely good at it and gain pp easily.

Did you even take a look at the earlier replies? I literally just said " NEVERMIND, FIXED IT ".... TWO replies above yours..
And my accuracy has actually been improving lately.. went from 83% to 89.35%
