I had someone contact me earlier about this error occurring while entering test mode for Taiko. I could not replicate the problem, but the player seemed to be able to replicate it consistently.

So many Taiko players are having this problem too... is there any relation to the CtB and Taiko that could be the reason?
Could you post your graphic and resolution setting?? maybe that will help.
borderless, no fullscreen mode. 1600 x 900I already posted that, the card I am running though is a GeForce 210.
I'd be willing to accept that it was a driver related problem if it didn't occur randomly. Retrying works fine for me 98% of the time and it seems to just randomly poops itself when it feels like not workingpeppy wrote:

Well that is a definite possibility. Before the GeForce 210 not long ago I was running a Q45 chipset with Intel drivers. I never had problems with their driver before though. If anyone else has had this problem I would ask to place info on what graphics card or graphics driver you are using when the crash occurred.Jaitonat wrote:

Seems like a lot of people are running something similar or lower to a X4500 GMA. Is there anyone receiving these crashes using something newer than a Core2 Duo? (Reason: Anything higher than a Core2 is running graphics from newer drivers.)
The crash (for me) occurs right when it would be loading. Or opening. You have a good theory.Osu Tatakae Ouendan wrote:

and as my earlier post says, it happens on playing, spectating, and in rare cases even watching replays.

could it be linked to OPENING or LOADING a map and not just the actual RETRY process?
No it's because Windows can't hold the osu! because of low memory or because the malfuction between osu! and microsoft software that's all.Niervaco wrote:

So an i5 is having this problem, at least I can rule out old drivers as a problem.
Well I've been running 4 GB of DDR3 RAM the whole time so I don't think RAM is the problem. Osu! doesn't even take up that much ram anyway in the first place. I've been having bad BSOD from driver crashes but that's nowhere near osu!'s fault. I haven't tried replicating osu!'s crashes lately, although some are still reporting it.harizcoolboy wrote:

all i do is just don't open anything execpt osu! and got less than 10 processes running in task manager

and peppy still doesn't fix this.... what a great time....Niervaco wrote:

Well some people. (Like me) start up with more than 10 processes , like how my f.lux and puu.sh load up on start, and some others such as antivirus. This isn't a total solution. Also I'm sure we people press anything while the song loaded. (Hard drive loads what the lag is probably.) in fact even if I did push a ton of buttons while it loaded while running GIMP, IE 11, Skype, and Hamatchi. Nothing happens.
Also since this problem wasn't reported before, it doesn't seem to be wondows' fault. If it was it would be happening sooner than the recent updates.
Well with intel drivers higher than a Core2 Duo they have updated and current drivers. As far as I know intel GMA iGPUs aren't updated.harizcoolboy wrote:

no actually the process doesn't need to be 10 below after i check i got more than 25 processes running in the task manager...
maybe updating your driver solve this problem

I think this issue is prevalent enough to get a confirm tag. It has to be based on either a skin/option setting, a particular graphics card, or who knows what else could cause this. No, many people run dedicated graphics cards. I wonder if they fall back (I.E.) use the intergrated GPU instead that they would be able to replicate the bug. And for a lot of people, these Intergrated (desktop mostly, sometimes laptop) chips are intel iGPUs.NintenToshiKun wrote:

It is hard to determine, since osu! would crash whenever the song loads, but not all the time. I will try and crash on some songs, and then take a look at them to see if they have anything similar that could be the reason.peppy wrote:
