[Archived] Game stops and a black screen‬ · forum‬

Problem Details:
In 20-30 minutes after logging in to the game, playing any song, game stops and a black screen appears. Nothing can be done except to stop the process. And at this point, the game uses such the amount of memory.

osu! version: 20140310.4 (latest)

I haven't experienced this with the low-end pc that I'm using but I think I've seen some people having this problem too.

If you're talking about is p/2900463/, then the current problem is a little different from my earlier.

Happen to me as well just a few minutes ago, ctrl alt del only solution.

This problem can be due to 8600 songs in a folder?

I use 2 copies of osu, one with 30GB maps and one with 10 maps which I'm playing for top50.
There is a big difference in memory eating (700 mb against 250mb)
Also fps and cursor movement differs a little.
Using low-end PC (while I have powerful PC: i5 2500k/HD6950OC/8GB) isn't really help.
This game need to be optimized in memory eating somehow
