Isn't one type of rank relative and the other type a simple arbitrary counter?BRBP wrote:

How do I talk about ranks or something similar in English? Most of the time I have no clue if the other guy means the rank itself or the number of the rank when he uses words like higher/lower or increases/decreases.
Is rank 100 lower or higher than rank 200? Or is there some other simple way to avoid confusion?
I can't be the only one who has this problem.

You know you're an Anglophile when:
You watch too many British shows and movies
You regularly use British phrases in everyday conversation
Your home page is BBC
You follow English football like a religion
You support England over Australia in many sporting fixtures
I think it's consuming me.

You secretly have a hatred of France and will be passive-aggressive about it using quotes in your signature
I think it's consuming me.
Am I still British if I only do 2/5 of those things?LaVolpe024 wrote:
