Trust me, there are more as enough people which care for that. I can tell that from the community which works for the Re-Opening of #balkan. The most important point is to show how active you really are. Get as many as possible people from your community to lead their attention at this project here.-MrPotato- wrote:

what exactly are people expected to do, spam a topic that nobody looks at? we have a skype group right now but being able to hang out on irc would be much better when you're mostly logged in the game anyway

why was it even closed to begin with, we were using it actively in the past too with the few people that were active. maybe it wasn't as active as #osu or #english today but certainly more active than many still-open language channels.

It's 1 pm here in Israel, 27 users online ATM. Out of which I've ever exchanged words with or had any human contact with 6. Playing Osu feels like a very solitary activity ATM, and it is (I'm not a big fan of multiplier mode), but it would've been so much better to have a community around to chit-chat with.

So how does this work? I see the same thing going on the #Balkan thread as happens here, with the local community making noise and a show of hands in hope to get their channel. Personally I would suggest changing how the in-game channel system works to allow creating and joining custom channels, this would allow communities to form themselves without the need of mods intervening. Alternatively just create a 'language' category within the main channel list that expands into the dozens and dozens of different languages so that users can find the channel suited for them. Ideally allow users to enable auto-join to their favorite channel whenever Osu! loads up.
I realize Peppy is very busy and that these things take time to implement. Until the chat system can be looked at, can we have the few extra language specific channels we are asking for on forum added? Should only take a minute to do so. The communities can be happy, spammage on forum is kept to a minimum, in-game activity rises, everyone is happy. Win-win, surely.
