ALWAYS have your windows pointer speed(type mouse in run) at the third level(7/10)
Thisway it will not skip any dots. Believe me, even if it's is too fast or too slow, you have to do this. Also, uncheck that thing underneeth the slider. Thats garbage and only makes everything harder. These are all tips that will improve EVERYONES skill, believe me.
If you find it too slow or too fast at the standartsetting, try to find an altarnative to change the sensitivity, jsut dont touch the windows mouse slider, let it be on standard

I hate long beatmaps that become insanely hard at certain parts (especially toward the end) while being relatively easy at other parts of the song. Also, beatmaps that include many stacked notes, especially if the background is animated and colorful. You basically have to remember when the stacked notes appear as it's almost impossible to see the circle around them.

I used to play with mouse only for the first one and a half years (400dpi, otherwise same settings), after which I had a huge break. I felt like I could never get back to the level I was before so after 5 or so months I gave up (on that oh so frustrating streaming) and started to use the keyboard. I've gradually started to play with mouse clicks more often and find much more pleasure in that now that I've achieved the level I was looking up towards when I started playing.

1. 7/11 windows cursor speed
2. x1 osu!speed
4. 800dpi
5. Logitech MX518/G400
6. 1240x1024 windowed
8. I use a variety of grips on different styles of maps, and these things I consider a secret of the trade. I had fun discovering them and so should you.
9. Razer Sphex is the mousepad. I've come accustomed to using my arm as a pivot and even though I have experimented again on using no pivot at all, I believe it requires a much lower sensitivity.

10. What are your problems/issues while you're playing? (e.g can't spin well, that jumps, streams...)
This is a hard one... The ability to unconsciously avoid frustration so I can't retry? To get real though, most of my problems are related to reading and how to correctly apply it to my grip. Past CS5 streams still get extremely tough. With the experience I've gained now adjusting and learning has become much faster so I'm not too worried about that.

I should've really kept a osu!diary of progress or something, fun times has been had.

Hard to chain 5note or longer streams with singles or sliders or jumps. Vertical Cross screen jumps are a lot more awkward than horizontal ones, i think.

5. What kind of mouse you are using? Logitech M125 (Very small laptop mouse i got like 3-4 years ago. Currently seeking a new one T_T)

10. What are your problems/issues while you're playing? (e.g can't spin well, that jumps, streams...) The biggest issue is the mouse itself lol. It's so small which makes holding/gripping it after spinners is somewhat uncomfortable. Sometimes my arm tenses up and holding it just becomes awkward. I've grown to get used to it over these 3-4 years but i would still prefer any other mouse if i could afford one :P Hopefully i can get a somewhat decent mouse this holiday season.


TL;DR: This mouse sucks. Very durable and reliable but it sucks for games.

It might take a while to get used to it, but it's definitely worth it.

Also, I'd recommend switching to 6/11 in Windows and adjusting your DPI accordingly. Anything lower than 6/11 just makes Windows ignore mouse reports. By using 4/11, you're effectively cutting your polling rate in half.

8. How do you hold/grip your mouse? It differs from map to map. I've found that jumps are generally easier to do with the fingertip grip, slow streams are best played with the palm grip and the claw grip comes in handy for widely spaced and faster streams. Often I change grips in the middle of the beatmap.
9. What is your mousepad? (or where do you place your mouse?) A 20x10x2 cm piece of wood. The surface hasn't deteriorated in 2 years and it makes for wonderfully smooth movements.
10. What are your problems/issues while you're playing? I can't do streams over 200 BPM with the mouse only. Often breaking combos due to having to reposition the mouse or change my grip.

On that last note, I also frequently run into the problem of my mouse buttons wearing out over time. Usually, after about 3 months of mostly singletapping, it comes to the point where I can't click fast maps consistently anymore without missing notes because the mouse button doesn't "snap up" far enough anymore. It's a really, really difficult thing to describe but basically the elasticity of the plastic wears off and there is less room between the trigger and the button, meaning I don't need to press as strongly in order for it to register anymore, which gets harder and harder to cope with the more the button wears off.
Has anyone had similar problems and maybe even a recommendation towards a mouse where this problem doesn't appear (maybe one with "springs" under the buttons or something)?

10. What are your problems/issues while you're playing? (e.g can't spin well, that jumps, streams...) Any fast combination of streams. Also in long songs my mouse positioning can get awkward causing me to miss easy notes.

3. Did you enable the "Precision Mode" in osu! ? Precision mode in osu! is always enabled, but this is different in Windows. So ignore this question.

5. What kind of mouse you are using? Genius's Micro Traveler(For erm...traveling, i'd guess?).

7. Do you prefer fullscreen or windowed mode? Windowed, for using RaidCall, FB and other apps.
8. How do you hold/grip your mouse? Hmm...fingertip grip. That's the way.Note: Changed the grip for fingertip without index and middle for spinners, and normal fingertips with the middle on mouse wheel, for more control.
9. What is your mousepad? (or where do you place your mouse?) Cheap navy blue mousepad.
10. What are your problems/issues while you're playing? (e.g can't spin well, that jumps, streams...) Can't get past 280 on spinners(insane), Too slow on high BPM's songs, and those square/star jumps...

My left hand is really suck when it comes to tap the z/x button on keyboard, which is always off the beat and it is extremely difficult for me to synchronize both of my hand to play on the beat. Somehow I can play better by clicking the mouse only with my right hand...

The Problem is that I lose my grip very often, resulting in almost slipping down from the mousepad, or holding my mouse really uncomfortable resulting in misses (especially on long maps)

3. osu! precision: enabled
4. DPI: 1000DPI but I think this is much lower
5. Mouse: Rigid Mouse Elephant (+modifications)
6. osu! resolution: 800x600 or 1024x600
7. Fullscreen mode
8. Grip: Palm Grip
9. Surface: Cloth Mousepad
10. Issues: Fast jumps and annoying patterns

3 - I enabled raw input, if that's what you mean.
4 - Currently 700, with 1000hz.
5 - My mouse is a Roccat Kone+, very good mouse but very big.
6 - My resolution is 1366x768.
7 - Definitely windowed, i get a bigger point of view.
8 - My style is fingertip grip, sadly my mouse doesn't help with this, it starts slipping off my hand at certain songs.
9 - I have a Roccat Taito Mid-Size as a mousepad, it's really good.
10 - Well my main issue is what i said earlier. Then i have problems with squares, fast singles and slowed sliders.

10. What are your problems/issues while you're playing? (e.g can't spin well, that jumps, streams...) No real problems that I would need to work on, maybe try going for higher BPM maps (230 BPM+) and trying out AR 10.

5. What kind of mouse you are using? Razer Naga 2014 ( i like mmos aswell) and Razer goliathus mousepad it glides very fast.

Spinning is the last few days around 390/400 pm. Streaming is kinda hard for me tbh.
