I tend to watch the ending episodes of anime late at night, so I really can't tell if the things I watch were truly sad or if I'm just a crybaby when I'm sleep-deprived
There's a lot of stuff that I feel like they really shouldn't have brought tears (like Tari Tari oh no, she sold her piano). But then there's stuff like Clannad: After Story (which had me for like 12 episodes after Nagisa died) and Kanon (so many times although someone spoiled Akiko's car accident for me so it killed the impact of that scene).
