I actually hope there will be more patches similar to this one in the future.
Stuff got nerfed but it wasn't anything severe. Some decent bug fixes.
Xerath and Skarner got reworked to an almost OP state (been playing them on PBE). A lot of people are complaining that the reworks were huge nerfs, but they will eat those words in a couple of weeks I guarantee it.

Even if the rework ends up making him too weak they can actually adjust his numbers properly because the elements that kept Riot from doing this in the first place are removed. Not all reworks are supposed to be buffs. They are often times done to remove unfun mechanics that can be a problem later down the road. Stuff coming into play because nerf cycles etc. Refer to my post about Karma on the previous page for more about this.SoG Tava wrote:

Every single one of the above champions have straight up anti-fun mechanics in their kit that make them terrible to play against. Nerfing them to oblivion is not how you solve the problem, which is how Riot dealt with it in the past. Why do you think Kassadin is still how he is? They really don't want to do this to champions anymore.
I'm honestly thinking about making a blog to do a kit by kit analysis on the above champions and a few I personally think need to be remade to clear up some confusion people (league forum mostly) seem to have on reworks and why they need to happen. Just another little project to do since I am studying to be a game designer and all (graduate in May).

His rework is not going to be a buff. As long as they remove the stupid mechanics from his kit he can be balanced accordingly and as a Warwick main for almost 4 years I am completely fine with that.
Warwick as of right now can never be buffed and the only way Riot can deal with him when he gets too strong is to nerf him into unviability. This is not how you balance things.
Something being viable does not necessarily mean it will be healthy for the game. A lot of the older champions have this issue hence why they are getting reworks. A rework isn't always done to make a champion stronger.

There are different levels to a rework. Warwick falls into the lack of counterplay (not saying it doesn't exist) and unfun to play against and potentially to play as category. He is very binary. He is also outdated too. He needs a relaunch seeing as his model and default splash are terrible.

I think its popular because its extremely challenging, and ever-changing. Every match is different, and forces the person playing to adapt and change their strategies based on character choices, skill of team mates and opponents, etc. You have to earn every step you take, and that is not only engaging but extremely satisfying; its something you dont see online now-a-days, where most MMO games hand you items and levels by the heaps for running around.
Another big selling point is the fact that there are tons and tons of characters to choose from, all of which are very different from one another. And even so, the same character might have different builds or strategies, again based on players and skills. It leads to a nearly endless combination of ways to play.

Just noticed my normal MMR is so high that I get matched with the same people almost every game in solo queue. Not to mention the queue times.

Can I ask you guys about your league mouse settings? last season I used mouse acceleration to get to plat 4, but after shifting in the pre-season to mostly osu!, I found that I play better with mouse acceleration off.

When I'm at the point where I can duel a Vayne as full support Thresh I think it shows I've done my job well.
Damn Lee Sin is one of those champs that are so horrible for the first 20 games but then slowly become insanely strong

Graves is probably the most snowbally AD there is. He gets incredibly useless unless you win lane really hard. Mostly due to his short range and how much his burst damage falls off if you're not ahead.
