That's it. I'm getting this game, and I will perfect Freedom Dive.
Dafydd
afaik freedom dive will be released once cytus gets updated to 5.0.
anyway, Deemo is also worth trying. it's also made by rayark so i guess cytus players would like this game too.
most of the songs though are quite warm and mellow.

Navizel
^been playing it since the release on Playstore. Quite enjoyable so far

Cytus 5.0 eh? waiting for it :3
Jinxy
Is it even possible to play the jackhammer songs on a phone anymore (Keyword: phone)

Don't get me wrong, I still love Cytus, but freedom dive's chart is a load of crap
Deif
Oh yeah! Oriens will be there too <3
Quaraezha
It's pretty forgiving. It's much easier to get Perfects than in most Rhythm games.

I did purchase Cytus Lambda for my Vita.

And oh god the Symphony Chapter is <3
Nyquill
the symphony chapter has some of the greatest songs holy crap

Does PSvita ver. didn't need any extra $$ for each new chapters?

i hope some kind souls would give me $5 for my chapter 10 <3
Quaraezha
Cytus Lamba is free to download for PS Vita.
Although the only playable chapter is Chapter 1, everything else is locked.
Unlike the Android/iOS version, you don't need to download each chapter/song individually.

It's basically one purchase for the entire game and all the songs. ($11.99)
If there's a new chapter, it's automatically unlocked.

goddamnit. pro. Why I'm not a talented asian.
Quaraezha
Looks like they nerfed the song. The part in the trailer isn't in it.
Mezzaten
You can be as good as you may on Cytus, but you're not awesome enough to play with sausages.
Quaraezha
I haven't even S'd L yet because of how small the Vita's screen is ;_;

Which reminds me, what are your pop-up settings?
None? Default? Group?
Do you play with Hit Sounds?
Mezzaten
That's not me playing, if that's what you meant. LOL
But, I play with None and No Hitsounds. Feels better imho.
Quaraezha
Of course it's not you.
I was also asking a question in general.
Mezzaten
S-Sorry ;_;

Cytus 5.0 is finally released for the PlayStation Vita.
Here's my first attempt to Freedom Dive. It's just way too fuckin' hard for the Vita's small screen.

In addition to the Cytus 5.0 update, there are now more hidden songs.

Hidden Songs Update
Chapter VIII now has 2 hidden songs, which are 2 variations of Slit
You basically slash your finger from the upper-right to the lower-left for the first variation
or slash your finger from the upper-left to the lower-right for the second varation
Both hard variations are level 9. The original hard is 8.

Chapter IX also has 1 hidden song.
Just tap on First Gate's title and the text [OVERDRIVE] will be added and the music will change.
The varation's hard level is 9, the original is 8.
Navizel
It's hard even on phone. Note: my phone is Samsung Mega.

Still not a bad score.
First try.

My latest score is B with 92 miss :v)
MrBakpao
Damn need more practicing for freedom dive~

So

What are the recommended number of thumbs to beat L, specifically Red, with a good score on a smartphone

"L Red is really slow, is it that hard?" ate enough of those fuckin words for my next 3 meals

I'm cheap and I don't have Ch10 yet, and I don't want to spoil myself on FD's chart, but wow, they seriously made something even harder than L?
Chamelo
I want to play Freedom Dive on ipad too. But that'll cost me 4.99$ for an entire chapter. ;w;
(I hope they'll have a hidden diff on this.)

Because of its slow speed, it kinda goes down like this:

For a small screen, Red L is harder than Freedom Dive.
For a tablet, Red L becomes a little easier than Freedom Dive.

Although that's what I think personally, speaking with experience with the PS Vita and a friend's iPad Mini.
Note that I don't play with my thumbs. Even with a smartphone, I try to play like I normally do:
On a flat level surface with my index (and sometimes middle) fingers.

It would be a scary thought if the segment from the trailer is actually for its hidden difficulty.
Jinxy
Retried the 3 Ls on an iPad, instant-B unlike Red's C, and almost A'd L normal. The difficulty change was pretty large.

though I just used 3 fingers and randomly mashed Red's triplestream + hold part to get past it

i think most pro players using 4 fingers or more? cmiiw
Chamelo
I used 4 fingers. (2 on each hand) I don't think >4 is a good idea, since you death-streaming in osu! using just 2 fingers too! XD
Navizel
If you are playing on tablet, 4 fingers is a good idea.

my 3rd play of xi - Freedom Dive (2 fingers)

Chamelo
Anyone master "Entrance" on both red version?

I can't stream them. ;w;

EDIT: master, not pass
Navizel
@Yuzuru - is that a tablet? My phone's screen is big but I think Cytus is better on tablet >_>

@Cth - Got 1 good 1 miss on left wing. I hate sliders.

I find the gameplay to not be that intuitive.
Well frankly speaking, compared to the other rhythm games I've played (jubeat, reflectbeat, osu!, taiko, DJMax Portable and Technika, etc.), it plays more "awkwardly" to me.
This sums up my opinion of the game as well. It reads in a very cluttered way, there are loads of thumb overlaps and the map designs themselves can be very questionable. I played it for a while, since it was my only viable Android option, but it felt much too cumbersome for me to see it through. This isn't even me being "competitive"--it was genuinely a letdown when I was giving it a chance.

If nothing else, the game really needs multitouch bars, as many of the jumps are so large that the circles almost appear to be horizontal. Things like this give me the impression that the game wasn't thought out very well, especially the menu UI. Just once, I'd like to see an Android rhythm game that's really tight and engaging.
