I got forced to learn how to smartcast and it's not fun, and no matter what, I'll still play locked on blue side 8) i think looking at minimap is much easier for me since even when I modify the mouse setting stuff, my mouse likes to flip out, maybe when I get a new oneeeeeeeeeee

I think WW fits more into assasin style than tanky style. And they could do a big VU too, would be nice

I hate to play locked since it moves your camera constantly. In laning phase it is really relaxed to just move at the back at the screen and have the camera at one location. Unlocked also allows you to almost watch twice as much in front of you.

I love what they did with Olaf.
I can now reckless swing like a madman during the laning phase and since it now scales into the late game, I still do tons of damage.
Also that -1 sec cooldown on the E per strike means lightning strikes every 4 secs or so.
I will continue to take advantage of this until riot decides to nerf him.

I only played ranked for the rewards. So I stopped at gold V. Even though it was only 50 games I'm waiting until the last minute next season because being forced to play because of elo decay is stupid.

I was kinda hoping someone would try to counter pick Warwick by picking something like Mordkaiser against it, but knowing most pro teams they only want to play stuff that is overpowered or strong to the point there is little to no counters. This is why stuff like Warwick is working. It's as if people forgot what counter picking can do lol
Mordkaiser dumpsters on Warwick and it's quite sad people seemed too forced to play certain champions to think outside of the box in the pro scene. Hence why I rarely watch pro games anymore because it's almost the same 10-15 champions every game.

I seriously doubt that Morde is THAT good of a counterpick to Warwick (specially since he's AP, and a magic resistance build is the one that favours Warwick the most, by going Chalice>Wits End>Visage). Doesn't matter because Warwick will never have the burst to break mords shield. Mord just shoves him into his turret and he loses CS. I hate that match up as a Warwick main. You don't need to kill Warwick to win the lane.Snepif wrote:

Nasus is another match up I really hate.
Don't need to kill Morde to win the lane either. WW has much more roaming and TP potential. Morde has a... well... problem regarding mobility creep. Also, one gank and morde should be dead, he has no escapes and jungle+Warwick's ultimate is just too much for a guy with no escapes to survive (unless you go full tank morde which wouldn't shove the lane as much). However, if Morde's jungler ganks WW, Morde has no followup and remember what I said about Warwick's build: he will have tons of magic resistance. I don't see Morde killing Warwick even with a jungler, whereas I do see Warwick killing Morde with jungler's help, and I see him roaming a lot better, too. Anyway it's just on paper, I am well aware that it wouldn't be the best matchup for the Wolf, but I don't think it's the best counter and 100% go-to champ if you see WW in the opposing team.
That's the thing. You can't ignore Mord and if the enemy jungler has to invest a ton of time camping that lane your team should have already won through objectives and towers elsewhere. It puts the enemy in a bind and that's the point of the pick.
Just think of it like proxy singed, but not as extreme.
Mord might have been a bad example for competitive play, but the whole shove and out roam logic still applies.

Just gonna add to the locked camera discussion by mentioning that since I started holding space almost constantly (probably like 90% of the game these days), my mechanical skill on AD improved tenfold. I consider myself to have high diamond level AD carry mechanics mostly because of the consistency locked camera gave me. I started doing it because that's how Doubelift plays and I copied. :p

Went 10-12 supporting (which is my worst role) and 10-5 ADCing (which is my second worst role). Shrug.
Lesson here is to just enjoy the game. It's not that hard.

I want to see through teamfights and react accordingly. (I'm hugely surprised that I almost made gold in S3 without understanding most of what is happening during teamfights.)

A lot of people don't seem to understand the point of a reset or any reset.
Is LoLNexus's team MMR stat a reliable indication of MMR? I played one game and both teams averaged about 1650 MMR, I was Plat 5 before this new season so I thought it should've put me somewhere around 1500 no? I just checked the stats again and it seems like people who were in my match are now +/-50 MMR.
Anyway I think I'll wait a big for the system to settle down first, I played one placement and everyone were such raging little shits that run their mouth EVERY time something bad happens, people were literally calling GG when the scores were 2-4, we ended up winning and the enemy team of course talked shit to each other in post-game chat.

If you play against ragers, don't reply or say anything. You'll just pull yourself down.
I know that, I barely even use my chat, but my teammates just wouldn't shut the fuck up so I wouldn't wanna take a chance at playing another game where people spent more time typing than playing, at least not for a few days until the ragers drop to where they belong.psKirika wrote:

Okay so what worked for me is never stop being a "student". I started playing ranked at something like Silver, and from there, I spent some time almost every day looking at champion guides, champion threads, streams (and please don't watch troll-ey streams like PhantomL0rd, you won't learn a lot, I recommend Nightblue, Meteos, Doublelift, etc. I also don't feel like I learn a lot when I watch Dyrus). Basically I lurked the NA forums every day and found lots of threads regarding how to counter x champ, "I main Irelia, ask me anything", "I reached Diamond only playing Veigar, AMA", etc. I read a lot and watched a lot of stuff. Also, youtubers help a lot too. There's this guy called Gbay99 who taught me A LOT about the game when I was lower Gold or so (and never stopped watching his videos actually so I watch him ocasionally now). For example, whenever I played an assassin, I always ended up havin like a shitton of kills but ALSO a shitton of deaths (like 11-10-7, for example). That is just so bad and I hated it. After watching his videos and watching streams, I learned to be patient. It's not good to always look for a kill in lane, and instead, just waiting for your opponent to make a mistake/your jungler to gank is just SO much more worth it in the end. Not dying and just waiting for enemy mistakes is really worth it, and I'm still working on it.
With that said, this is gbay99's channel. There are plenty of other channels that are also great for learning.
Now I got to Diamond 1 like 3 weeks ago and guess what? Even know I'm still learning. I still lurk the forums, watch streams to learn, and spectate high elo games (which sometimes have the same people I play with/against in my matches, but I don't care). Just never stop trying to improve.
Don't play ranked just trying to get lucky and win, actually try to improve to climb.
This is how I ended the pre-season yesterday, considering I started season 3 at high sillver/low gold I believe it's a pretty nice climb, and I'm trying to improve and climb even more - if it worked for me, and still works, it should work for you too.

Teemo shrooms are OP without oracles, enough said. only way to really counter the shrooms now is to pressure/push/camp his lane so he can't roam and shroom the jungle. imo TSM should have picked a strong ganking jungler like Lee Sin, Nunu was a terrible pick. Bjergsen showed why getting kills in lane doesn't win games. You have to push your advantage more.

I started changing my attitude in this game drastically for the new Season. Usually I would have already given up after around 30 minutes because there was literally no chance of winning. But I pulled myself together, tried to ignore flamers and just play the game. It works!

Really happy about CLG. They looked shaky at some times but their rotations and 5-man pushes really showed that they have been training. This is only their first match and they show more coordination than the previous season. I really see them improving a lot more and making less mistakes, leading to a really high amount of wins this season. I wanna see them at the top.

W at lvl 1, Q at lvl 2, a red pot isn't even neccessary in most cases. His lvl 2 is just so strong.

Same thing happened here, I also finished my placement games (finally) and ended up in Silver III after 5-5. Not too bad considering people from Plat being in a similar spot now.
