You have to improve on the rhythm way more. But as a modder I don't think I can help you there. I see you deleted normal. You will have to keep the others. Try using curved sliders more, that's one way for it to be more fun I'll put curved sliders in another map, but I don't wish to add curved sliders in this map.

00:22:964 (1) - Avoid this anti-jump if possible. The spacing is deceiving, and newer players tend to pay less attention to things like approach circles.

01:01:467 (1,2,3) - Space out more from previous combo; see above for reasoning. This especially applies because this is a fast section. From my experience, newer players tend to like to spam buttons when they see closely arranged hit objects.

01:08:801 (1,2,3) - ^

[Hard]

Use Grid Level 4 and recheck all of your snappings. You have some asymmetry in your distances between objects; a more detail-oriented player may pick up on this during gameplay from even the very start (00:00:963 (1,2,3)). Considering how important symmetry is to your mapping organization, this is something you should pay attention to.

00:47:105 (1,2,3) - The timing here is hard to read. I would recommend turning 1-2 into a slider (like you did with Easy), or moving 2 down to form a sort of triangle shape, which will be indication to players that this section is different. Either way, one thing that you should definitely fix is the spacing between 1-2 and 2-3. They should be even.

There are no other real issues that I see here.

Overall, it's a pretty good mapset. Impressive work if it's your first one!
To be honest I personally don't enjoy "rectangular" maps as much. From your submission comments:

Don't limit your creativity and imagination to rectangles!

Tbh I put that there just because everyone's comments says to add curved sliders, and I can't be bothered when I think that the straight sliders will do. This is my first beatmap, and when I have somehow got this ranked, I will add curved sliders into the next one that I do. But for this one, the square / rectangle patterns will do. But I appreciate your suggestion and response to the comment.

General: Haha. Heeyyy. I love this game, and game series. Well the PS1 game series, I should say.
If you are trying to get this map ranked, I'm aware Easy and Hard are the only required difficulties, but it helps for a map to get ranked with more difficulties.

[Easy]

General: Is your beat-snapping really a 1/3? I guess it fits the song but most of the time a 1/4th is the way to go.

00:30:756 (1) - Don't stack notes on Easy difficulties. Stacked notes are very hard to read for those that are learning the game.
00:35:869 (1) - Same as above.
00:47:105 (2) - I would move this note just a little bit further away from the note before it. I kept hitting it early. (Refer to the Hard difficulty mod for this as well.)

[Hard]

General: Again, 1/3 beat-snapping?
I would turn up the approach rate by 1 or 2.

00:05:546 (2,4) - Ctrl+G these?
00:09:213 (3,4,5,6,7) - I would use wider spacing here. Like 0.9, or 1.0
00:09:213 (3,4,5,6,7) - Same as above.
00:34:270 (5) - New combo?
00:35:798 (1) - If you do the suggestion above, remove this new combo.

I didn't want to do a retry. Looks boring, and really lacks style in the flow :( Even though your map's rhythm and hit sound is all good, if your map doesn't look good then people won't want to play it.

Try looking at recently ranked maps to see how an interesting flow should look like.

00:33:048 (3) - Change whistle on the tail to a clap instead. If you unsure how to, simply double click on the head, until it's highlighted in red like this one for example:

Overall for both diffs you should try less of a box-style.

Example would be just about all of kiai time in the hard diff. I feel like I'm constantly drawing a box. Try to add more patterns and rhythms that change direction without breaking flow. Make it interesting.

00:45:882 (1,2) - The slight overlap is not fitting and also looks weird. Move it more lower to fix this.
00:54:591 (3,1) - You should make this spacing larger. This is no break between 3 and 1 so it should have normal spacing.
00:55:966 - Your comboing is messed up a little at the kiai part. Recombo it.

I just like straight sliders, and maybe in my next map (if I make another map), I'll add more curved ones. I did originally want this to have straight sliders, as I believe it sounds like an army-ish piece of music, so I made it rigid with straight sliders. But, if people continue to say otherwise, then I will change them. Just give me good suggestions and I'll fix for you.

  1. Well, this map could need another difficulty, seeing as it's only a 1 min long song with 2 diffs atm. It's not a requirement, but hey, it'd make the mapset more interesting :P
  2. Your Easy plays more like a Normal in this mapset, mostly due to how easy Hard is in comparison. One of the reasons is probably due to the fairly high spacing in Easy at some places, and both diffs using 1.40x SV.
  3. Oh yeah, your map isn't bad or anything, but it's some points you can keep in mind if/when you map another song. You should make either an Easy or an Insane though.
[Hard]
  1. Overall, the distance between notes is very close, so the map itself feels a bit "slow" while playing. Since you also follow distance snap very strictly (which isn't bad in itself), some patterns are also harder to read, since the spacing look similar. If you feel up to it, I really recommend trying a slightly higher slider velocity, as well as turning the distance snap up a notch or two.
  2. 00:04:629 (1,2,3,4) - Try using inherited sections to turn the volume up gradually for this part.
  3. 00:08:755 (2,3,4,5,6) - The timing of these notes are pretty hard to read, as they look very similar in spacing, but (2,3) is a 1/3, while the rest is 1/2. You should space out (3,4,5,6) more.
  4. 00:16:089 (2,3,4,5,6) - Same as above^
  5. 00:23:270 - Add a note here. You should follow the same rhythm as 00:25:103 - , since both parts of the song are similar.

  7. 00:35:187 - I think you should map this note. The song doesn't have a lot of instruments going, so skipping the few notes that are being played feels a bit weird.
  8. 00:47:105 (1,2,3) - This is one of those places where the close distance between notes makes it hard to distinguish between 1/3 and 1/2. Anyhow, you should fix the spacing between 00:45:882 (4,1) - ,
  9. 00:55:966 - Add a finish on this note. Same for sliderhead of 00:59:633 (1) - and 01:06:967 (1) - , as well as 01:03:300 (1) - . Actually, there are a few symbal crashes earlier as well, like 00:08:296 (1) - or 00:11:963 (1) - . Consider adding finishes on those as well.

  1. As I said earlier, this feels a bit like a Normal. Consider renaming this to Normal.
  2. Also, for future maps, you should use a lower slider velocity for Easy, as well as smaller distance between notes without changing it too much/at all. I'll be pointing out stuff that feels too hard for an Easy imo, though they should be fine if you rename this to Normal.
  3. Add finishes as in Hard.

  6. 00:55:966 - Constant 1/3 like this is probably pretty hard for a new player, especially since it's a mix of sliders and notes. it's probably fine for a Normal, but yeah.
Overall it's a nice first map (or idk, is it? :P). It's a bit rough around the edges, but making things look neat and tidy is something that usually just comes with experience. My biggest gripe is that it only has two difficulties though, where the Easy is kinda hard, and the hard is kinda easy :P You really should consider adding another diff to ballance the spread a bit more (or two diffs /me runs). I've pointed out the more "major" things that should be fixed, though overall some tidying up of spacing could do wonders, as well as maybe avoiding some overlaps like https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/1164688 . Try getting some mods that focus on Aestethics, as your rhythm is mostly fine, and good luck with your map!

Yes, this is my first map. Thank you for your comments, it's a pity I can't make it look as professional as others do, but hopefully it will be fine in the end. I don't think I'll make another difficulty, (or two :P). However, I've made some patterns in the Hard difficulty, and lowered the distance snap in Easy and remapped this difficulty, since I didn't realise you could lower the set Distance Snap :o. Thanks for the mod, and I might need the luck, this map needs adjustments and remaps all the time :P

Have you considered adding a spinner after your last note in all difficulties? It makes the map end a little less abruptly :D

Easy
00:10:130 (3)- Since the next slider has an anchor point in the middle, why not make this a pointy slider too? I saw a few of these in the map, and since it's an Easy, patterns and recognizability (argh) are important.
00:18:380 (4) - Same here, cept it's the previous slider this time which is pointy.
00:35:798 (1) - New combo isn't really necessary here
01:08:801 (2) - This slider should be somewhere above the previous one, to make it symmetrical.

Normal
00:02:796 (3) - Maybe move this note to x-152, y-208 to make a triangle with the two previous notes, and change the next note's position accordingly.
00:20:214 (3) - This is a little too close to the previous note. Move it a bit to fix the spacing and make a straight line with the two previous notes.
00:29:381 (3) - Put an anchor point in the middle of this slider as well, to make a pattern with the previous one.

Have you considered adding a spinner after your last note in all difficulties? It makes the map end a little less abruptly :D I don't think it needs it tbh. I'll leave it up to MrSpajdeR for his difficulty, but I think the diamonds / squares are fine atm

00:10:130 (3)- Since the next slider has an anchor point in the middle, why not make this a pointy slider too? I saw a few of these in the map, and since it's an Easy, patterns and recognizability (argh) I know what you mean... are important. Done.
