Have an Alesis DM6 drumkit connected by USB to my PC (CQ61)
Here's the setup: http://puu.sh/4jJ6f.jpg

Problem is, my drumkit isn't registered as a joystick, unlike others.
So is there any way to play Taiko with it?
I've looked everywhere, and there is either no tutorial, there is only gamepad to MIDI, not vice versa. Before someone tells me, yes i have looked on the other post.

Thanks in advance :)

P:S: I'm in England, so i can't get a TataCon controller :(

NOTE: It's a midi device with the e-drum name if that helps :)

If your drum signal can be recognized you can use a software like joy2key or similar i guess to map it to a keyboard button and in order setting those buttons in your osu key settings. This is usually used for gamepads or such but i guess in this case its similar?

Im using ROCKBAND (1st gen xbox360 with joy2key) drums to play taiko and i have NO LATENCY. It feels really responsive and you can play very hard songs with practice! :)

Sadly, there's no possibility to use programs such as Joy2Key as the drumkit is not recognized as a game controller/joystick. I've tried using Bome's Midi Translator but that somehow depends on velocity of the hit.

I was curious about this t/128780
Seems to works as hot-keys, but doesn't work for osu!. :o

Despite i have rock band drums, im also interested in buying real e-drums, wich are MIDI... Its also funny that osu really has a "tatacon-drum" support... all those drums that i have seen on the internet are really plasticky and cheapy, someone should make some really quality e-taiko drums :P I hope someone will help you to get the drums work :)

Very true, looked them up, they're from China and look pretty sketchy.
