It's not. Even in Korea, you could see top teams losing fights despite being 10k gold ahead of the enemy, throwing games at Baron, a lot of bad TF ults and funny mistakes by best players Korea has to offer (dade's teleport in middle of SK T1 just to flash away comes to mind)...

LCS system sux, circuit system is by far more dynamic

In lcs you can go like 0-10 in the first 5 weeks, but if you are at least 6 you go to the playoffs l0l

It's very hard to predict regionals, but I think that either Frost or Blaze will take that last spot.

That's a good question. NaJin, while definitely not good as KT Bullets right now, won something in Winter, Spring and Summer. Personally, I'd rather go with that than with chance of Cloud 9 not going to World's after stomping every other team in region except Vulcun for 9 weeks.
If it was up to me, Korea would have one more spot. It's kinda sad that Gaming Gear who lost to bunch of EU challenger teams and MYM who placed last in LCS gets to go on World Championship while Ozone potentially stays home. Taking one spot from EU or NA to give it to KR would work as well.

ADC left about seven minutes in, claiming there was heavy lag. 4v5 win though!
Lux then said to surrender at 20:00 right after that... then we started winning.
Lux and I were ripping people apart left and right. I demolished a Vayne that went top (which is funny to me). Rammus was tanking really well and Nami was hitting every bubble and her ultimate was hitting the entire enemy team. They were actually VERY grouped up in team fights... which is odd because the ultimates from the four of us are all AoE... Why group up? lol.

I'm Articeo, Jungler for Glisten, which is a unranked team between me and a few of my friends. I'm 29 gonna be 30 in like 1-2 weeks and I was wondering if anyone wanted to Duo queue with me for my placement matches. LOL I suck at this game.

You shouldn't start ranked after you got 30.

I started rankeds when I considered myself at least decent. And when I did, I was not decent enough. But you should practise a bit more... not a lot, but at least a bit

Tiamat/hydra is pretty common on most melee/ad or aspd top laners. I even get it as a second or even first item as Warwick because top has started to devolve into this split pushing role. They better fix this for season 4.

I hate split pushing. It's a cheap strategy and it's sad that it is even viable in competitive play at all.

That's why I wrote "botrk+tiamat", cuz both of them are viable items, but you should not buy both of`em. That doesn't make sense.

I wouldn't on darius (I know thats the point of your post I'm not ignoring that), but on a bruiser that scales well with attack speed hell yeah I would. They would have to send 2-3 people to stop your split push because you can just run away with botrk active. While that happens your team is taking dragon or taking turrets elsewhere. Attack speed with tiamat passive is not bad at all. Also botrk pretty much makes Warwick the ultimate 1v1 king so yes botrk+ hydra is viable on stuff.

See how cheap split pushing is? Only real way to counter it is to counter split push.

Easier said than done.

Even silver players know to not engage 4v5. Half of this split pushing non sense I see is from diamond 1 streams and even recent tourneys. If it was that easy to deal with it wouldn't be a viable strat now would it? Also proxy singed and AP trnd would have never been nerfed if it was so easy to "just force a fight" and base race.

Not everyone enjoys ranked or even wants to play it. There is nothing wrong with that because it's not a mandatory part of the game. If you only like playing against bots then who cares? People enjoy different aspects of the game. Hence why there is like 5 different game modes. =\

As I said like a millions before in this thread solo queue is a complete joke and it always will be. I'm pretty much about to hit gold (if i keep going) by only playing Warwick a champion that a majority of this games community considers a troll pick. Some people really make this game harder than it seems.

Also you will learn and improve a ton more from playing premade 5's assuming you are seriously playing and not trolling 24/7.

She is also most banned and most picked for pretty much all tourneys this season. Thresh is pretty close too. Makes sense they chose Elise.

So uh does anyone want to Duo Queue with me when I get to 30? I know the season is coming to a end so I wanted to start ranked as soon as possible for the rewards since I rarely solo queue and I want to try and get to gold for the skin (km probably bronze 5 Lol)

The only thing you'll get by rushing to ranked as soon as possible is screwing up your MMR and being placed in Bronze.

My friend tells me I sit at Gold V as long as I can win my next 5 placement matches. I just hate playing ranked because I always get stuck with a mid that feeds because they're not passive enough.

it's an estimate; it also depends on how much impact you have on the game

i don't think that you can start gold with 10 wins if you were unranked last season or no more than silver, got some friends who won their 10 games but were silver last season and are still silver now. i was gold last season, i won 8 games/10 and then started gold IV. so its all about your last season elo i guess o_o

The elo system is still used. But now its hidden and called MMR. Your ranking is determimd by the value of your MMR at the time of placement. By default all players have an elo of 1200 before placing. This value changes drasticaly every match because of the formula used to calculate your mmr. The more games you play the slower this value changes. When matches are created the match making system does its best to match two teams of simar skill. So if you're a brand new player at 1200 duo queueing with a gold 5 player (roughly 1500) it is very likely that u will be matched against a team of silver 2-1's because they range from 1350-1450. If you are winning these games the likelyhood of you being placed into a high division is very likely because when your current rating is increased according to the value of the team you just beat.
This is to be compared to queueing alone or queueing with players that are currently ranked lower than the default elo. Winning these games will increase your MMR at a slower rate because the closer you are to the average skill level of the rest of the players in the match the closer the values are when calculating differences.

TLDR: its all about who you play with when placing. If you really care about where your going to end up make a friend and win some games

Your ranking from the previous season has a heavy impact on it as well since it was a soft reset not a hard reset.

I lost 6 out of my 10 games and got put into silver 4, but I retained my MMR from the previous season. Which is why I got like 50-65 lp per win in silver 4 and ended up skipping silver 3 all together when i was promoted.

If you were diamond in season 2 you should have never have been placed anything lower than gold even if you lost all 10 of your placements.

where you place in placement matches is entirely dependent on your MMR and others' MMR. You can go 10/0 and still get placed in silver 1. Or you can go 10/0 and get placed into gold 1. I went 6/4 (which is really bad), and got placed into silver 2, because I was duo queueing with my gold 3 friend.

I actually get carried, I'm currently going 3/2 (lol).

My friend who went 8/2 got into Silver 1. Even if I somehow get placed in Bronze one of our friends is offering to carry anyone out of bronze, and surprisingly he has done it to several of our friends now. Last time I heard from him he was on a 30 something win streak and it ended.

Why would you want to be carried to somewhere you don't belong? Do you know how much it sucks for me to get matched up with people who got carried/elo boosted to Platinum but their skill level is Bronze/Silver?

Everything went wrong for me there, I just want to forget that OGN Summer season ever existed. Still, I hope SK T1 wins finals so Ozone can go to World's.
