I'd also like to point out that when something bot lane becomes a problem it's almost always a support that gets gutted, while an adc gets some minor tweak unless your name is sivir and urgot. It's got to the point that some of them work top lane because bruisers have been nerfed so much.

I really hope some serious changes happen in season 4, because i don't think i can take a 3rd season of this stagnant meta. At least season 2 was still kinda interesting till the very end. Season 3 has been boring since the start. Competitive play is predictable and awful to watch. I find more enjoyment out of watching my bronze 5 friends play ranked, because of how random it is.

eh, at least skipped and got promoted to silver 2 so it was worth

oh and also, season 1 had the best meta and changes

I really miss the days of two bans per team in ranked and true global ults

The "first TF's" ult was actually a 70% global slow and vision reveal. His gold card was an AoE stun and his E was a 20-second CD global teleport.

It really was... Mostly because you never knew what you would go up against or what your team would really be composed of. Back then the meta wasn't really enforced hard like it is today. Lanes were completely random at one point. Bot and top was a random 2v2 mix of everything and ADC's and Junglers weren't mandatory at all really (until AD's started going mid). The 0 cs support role wasn't really a thing yet because stuff like Taric and Sion roamed (oh god roam sion D:). There was still a meta but it wasn't really enforced.

was looking grim until after lane phase, then I got a quadra to end it =3=!

I'm almost in bronze 1. Then it's only one more division until silver. I dunno if i'm really a bronze player cause i've been shooting up, but i'd rather work my way up anyways. Also looking for serious ranked players to contact me, i'm always down to play some normals, discuss meta, etc.

Just a heads up... there's currently a major bug that a lot of people have been abusing to avoid losses, here's a video showcasing the bug so I'm not going to explain it here. It's basically a drop-hack within the client so DO NOT attempt this because you'll likely get banned. I recommend avoiding ranked until Riot fixes this because there's a huge chance that somebody uses the bug and denies a win from you, especially in low ELO ranked where people are so desperate to climb.

taric garen and taric sion were the most op lanes, heck I even saw a taric brand, and ashe and corki were the best midlaners

also I remember streamers trying crazy stuff and winning in high elo, like rain man going 3 heart of gold roaming vlad or alistar blitzcrank double jungle, good stuff

Ah my time to shine has begun!

Played a LeBlanc against Zed and completely wrecked that piece of shit shadow. So satisfying to land mimic'd Q after ult gets to level 2.
Also the amount of jumps is pretty fantastic.

I still feel that the first level of ult is a lackluster.

It was a good idea but they executed it poorly, gave away 4 kills early, fell behind in farm, dragons and gold, and had a weaker lategame anyway so no possible way to come back.

Kill lanes are actually quite good against adc/support lanes, but are countered by Cait (long range, escape) and Janna (disengage). They also get shut down by ganks and counterganks, which is why they don't see much play in competitive play because coordinated teams know how to deal with it.

The new Leblanc is trash now. The changes were a straight up nerf to that champion for the most part. They severely nerfed her early game to slightly buffed her late game (barely a buff).

The whole point of leblanc was her early game and they took that away so she is just awful now.

I've played a lot of Leblancs that could pretty much one-shot champions... I've never faced any champion that could kill 'that' quickly so the nerf was probably in place for a reason...

That is the whole point of leblanc (burst mages in general). After she uses her entire combo she is completely useless for a few seconds.

Edit: Leblanc had one of THE lowest win rates and she was rarely picked. It makes literally no sense to nerf her. Zed, Kha, Rengar (if ahead) can burst harder than she can mid-late game. She just did it early game extremely well. She falls off late because she is single target. They labeled this as a buff when it definitely isn't a buff. That's the problem.

The only part of it that I would consider a "buff" was the zero mana cost of the ult at all ranks. Mimic not scaling based on mimic'd ability level was just a complete nerf.

Support annie was played last week in OGN, and used before in brand/annie kill lanes. It didn't seem to work well in the OGN game, though they still won, but not due great annie plays/stuns.

And the 56% winrate is nice, but not completely amazing, and should be doable with her/his plat 1 skills ;) (i got 59% in normals as gold V, so i guess she/he stills wins games very easily)

It's when your whole team goes on singed all game so the rest of the team gets objectives. You usually just farm behind towers all game (yes on level 1 too).

Distracting the enemy, getting tons of cs and keeping your lanes pushed denying xp and gold for the enemy team.
Used to be more effective pre 3.9.

basically you farm past the enemy turrets. you completely ignore the enemy top laner and run past the turret and farm in the enemy base by killing all the creeps that spawn for the 3 lanes. if u die then ok, they can keep killing you and you become worth nothing (although the recent death streak gold change is supposed to address this a bit i guess) and so u end up with a terrible score but stupid amounts of farm so it doesn't matter because you still have tons of gold

and yeah ninja'd twice but this helps team in certain ways

He'd farm one wave, then die... like... every time. They never got dragon and only downed two of our turrets all game. Then his team would fight us 5v4 and lose because they're down someone while he's farming. Feels like a pointless way to go imo. Especially because he's worth gold at the beginning and it gave my team free kills / assists.

A little... Making the minimum 35 gold more isn't much more lol.

Then he was just doing bad and/or the team didn't make use of their advantage at all.
Note that this can be countered easily and most likely doesn't work on high elo as people know how to deal with proxy singed.

Had a game today where a Trundle called bottom.
The ADC asked him to stop poking the minions about five minutes in and he said "Dude, I'm not a support". He was clearly fighting Varus for the minion kills.
... I was confused. He did a good job helping Varus in trades / engages but... people need to think a little bit.
Not like I cared after all was finished, we won the game.

That was an impressively bad game all around.
Renekton wasn't bad, but my friend and I got stuck in our worst lane, Ezreal started 4/0 and followed that up with 10+ deaths, and our Amumu... ... was special.
20:00 minute mark and the surrender doesn't go through.
I sigh.
Edit: Why do people sell their items at the end of the game? I don't get what it accomplishes.

Assuming you can base it on that, Kayle died once, Garen died three times and the ADC only died four times. That's not nearly enough to justify a win - especially because your ADC and APC were both low on gold and higher on deaths than the three I mentioned.

You have to consider when the people have their deaths too because that affects how the game goes (higher level deaths = longer dead time for example)... then there are aces, etc.

If KDA actually meant something then every support player would be fucked. Proxy singed is a perfect example that KDA means nothing because you basically win by feeding to abuse certain mechanics of the game while at the same time putting an enormous amout of pressure on all lanes.

This isn't a single player game. Having good teamwork skills and knowledge of game mechanics influences the match outcome a lot more.

Yo can someone explain to me the structure about this whole tournament thingy going on right now? I started watching competitive play in LoL just recently and I don't fully get it yet and I'm apparently too lazy to google it.
Like how is it decided who's gonna be in the world cup's finals, when will it start, what is this whole lcs spring/summer split and allstars all about, etc.

Help for a noob would be appreciated. :|

i don't realy understand how the current tournament is working too but there'll be tournaments like that in every region to determine the 14 best teams in the world. then it'll be the same witht the 14 teams i guess, they'll all play against each others and the two teams with the best w/d ratio will be in the final, or it'll just be a single tournament with qualifications.
so the current tournaments (lcs spring/summer) serve to find the 4 best teams in every region.
the allstars tournament was just a tournament with one team per region with the 5 best players from every region. the results of this tournament don't have any relation with the world championship.

To put it really simply and bluntly
Each region has their own 'LCS' thing with like 8 teams. It's like a season where they play for a few months and then have standings at the end.
The 3 best korean teams will go to worlds.
The 2 best North American, European and Chinese teams will go to worlds.
The best team for the Garena league will go to worlds.

The LCS had a summer/spring split to let more teams compete in relegations so that the starting roster for the summer split would not necessarily be the same as the spring split, and I think each region had this kind of thing but I'm not too sure.

Alltars was an event to let a region have one more team in the world finals. Korea won (I think) and they got a 3rd slot for another team to go.

I could explain it beter than that but I don't need to, a simple explanation should be good enough :)

Is this "up to date"?

If so, I'm on EUW Server, "DaDeceptive0ne" (ye, thats a zero no big "oh"). Im lvl 30 for a long time and I keep reaching Platinum. Seems to be closer than I thought first.

I play everything but support. Actually playing mid > adc > jungle > top (> support). I played in a lot of teams and I always fit in another role, thats why I'm more the "alrounder". In my last team I played jungle as main. Xin and Nautilis, Hecarim and Malphite, Mumu and Shen. As they kept nerfing everything I just went over to Jarvan and Zac.
I rarely play support, but if I have to (like in rankeds), I will just fit into the team.

Yes this is up-to-date, as you can see this part of the forum is pretty active recently. We could play a match together as soon as I get my internet connection improved. In the meanwhile you might want to join our osu! ranked team, new members are always welcome. :3 (mid is my position, dare to get in my way)

EU/NA actually have 3 spots in the s3 finals. According to recent news about those spots.

Korea has also 3 spots for winning allstar event.

China/Southeast asia both have 2 spots.

You know, the skin is totally worth it but I don't have Udyr. They make the skin sound SOOO GOOOOOOOD.
