Uhm, let me try to answer to all your points.

Maps shouldn't be ranked with ryuutas where the plate isn't the proper size. Forcing your own character is just ignoring the problem.
The "problem" is not just the custom character, as i'll explain below.

Custom cursors all come in different sizes and shapes, so of course in some cases people will rather use the cursor they are most accustomed to. *slightly off topic*The same thing could be said about custom ctb fruit. I hear with the new osz we won't be able to delete skin elements for the beatmap file. THIS SHOULD HAVE A FORCE OPTION! *end OT*But in the case of CTB characters, there is (should be) one standard size for the plate and overall character. Players should be able to play with ANY CTB character because they are (should be) the same - they only differ in what's under the plate/looks, and that shouldn't even effect your gameplay.
We could say the exact same thing to cursors, trust me. Sometimes it's not just the plate itself, having a whole different character may feel exactly as when you use another cursor in standard mode, even if it's the same shape. It's a matter of being used to it.
Anyway, the point of the request was not because of rankability issues, but because i think it would be more consistent to have the option work with that character too.

This means that you can use your own custom character or default majority of the time. Because of this reason I don't understand why there would even be much of a demand for a force feature.
There are quite a bunch of maps that force the default skin, and that forces a standard ryuuta even though there may be no particular reason to do that. I had the idea while playing one of those maps, actually.

- Custom fruit ryuutas are an important skin element
It enhances the experience of some maps if done well ^_^. If a skin is made, a mapper intends for their map to be played with it - if it can be completely overridden like that why bother making it in the first place? It would be the same as overriding custom hitcircles and any other skin elements that have pre-assingned+enforced sizes.
It's not like the character will completely override the skin. I get your point and i have no problem with that, but i think it's better to have at least this choice since it's already available in standard. Also when osz2 comes out noone will be able to remove skins/storyboard (and i CAN'T WAIT FOR OSZ2, YES)
