Is "slider follow circle" really needed?

The "slider follow circle" is the huge moving ring when pressing down on sliders. But it's function can be replaced by the small slider balls (sliderb0~9.png). The huge follow circle creates much distraction in overlapping sliders and repeating sliders. So I tried making sliderfollowcircle.png transparent in the skin and now I can play those short fast sliders like a pro.

Yeah, this. Each to their own. If you like it then use it. I'm sure most of those who really care have modified their skins to their own personal preference already.
