"Follow the cop" strategy basically cop claim, doc not. The doc will protect the cop every night. Worse scenario, doc being killed after the day this strategy implemented. If there is 2 cop or nurse, 1 cop claim, the others cop, doc, and nurse are not claim. Simple strategy, but effective. It's not the town's job to actively defend people that are probably town (except possibly information roles), rather, they should be actively hunting people that are scum. Do you honestly believe that if I showed up and said "I don't think he's town" that everyone would just be all like "oh, well in that case I'll just unvote"? What would that even accomplish? He can easily persuade us new guys to vote for whoever he believes to be a threat to him. (Sheeping right? \:D/) And for Tsukasa, I feel like he is working with Lyby seeing as they were so persistent with those unlike other people who just voted for those.

Other side, if Those do not get killed, we have free cop around, or Those is scum, I believed the first because free cop is dangerous for scum, so scum will kill cop-Those. If Those do not get killed, Those is scum.

Claiming to know that there's a doctor is also a very "safe" claim because even if there isn't one (in the case of the first setup), no one can disprove it. Even if there is, it causes the real cop to either claim (giving an easy NK target), or stay quiet, resulting in no counterclaim.

There are a few reasons why I didn't defend BRBP:
1. I had no proof that he wasn't mafia besides just gut feeling.
2. Even if I had given a (bad) argument to defending him, it probably would have turned into a "zomg BRBP + kanye scum team" discussion because it truly is insane to defend a claimed mafia without some solid proof to go off of.
3. In my mind, an anti-town townie is almost as bad as scum. Sure, it would have been nice to lynch scum D1, but why risk lynching a possible aux rather than getting rid of a possible mafia/vanilla townie that obviously isn't going to help us?
