A new sub-forum - Guides?

Hi, this has been wondering me a lot for a while so I'd like to try and share my thoughts for you.

I was wondering that if there could be a new sub-forum in Other, called "Guides". This is a place where people can write quality tutorials of most general subjects. This kind of forum are amazing hotspots in other forums, so in our case it will also increase the activity. Obviously people can comment these tutorials and guides and give feedback about it. Here's what it might look like;



Some people really loves to read this kind of stuff, realizing they learned something new.

These guides also can be put in categories such as technology, osu!, games etc.

We can't actually make threads in that forum, though, and its existence isn't very obvious. With some revision though, it could probably work fine!

I don't really see a problem with it, tho I understand what you mean. It would look quite silly if there's an another guide forum in gameplay-forum. Just put 'em all in one place.

Okay so that forum is for osu! stuff only http://osu.ppy.sh/forum/88, so you want a Guide subforum for General Discussion then?

I don't think we should mix them. If we already have a forum for osu! guides we should keep it and just create a new one for General Discussion if that's what you want.

I guess a guide for everything forum is a good idea. But we should have a place for guides in osu if we're going to have a place for guides for everything. Questions forum shouldn't count, it's kind of an unorganized forum.

Point taken. Could be nice to move already existing osu! tutorials for the current forum.

And yes, GD or just put it as a new forum in Other.

Oh wow nice bump. How did I miss this?

Will be useful to have a well organised sub-forum for guides. There're too many stickied at the moment and people (especially new player) seldomly look at stickied anyway.

This can be quite useful if it is closely watched by moderators and admins to avoid duplicates and silly guides.
