Yeah, since new osu! update, so many old skin part are gone and replaced. xD
The new default skin is at the moment only available in the .dll-Files, that were downloaded in the updater, but peppy already announced that the new skin will be available as template-skin soon, so..just wait a bit.Netoxic wrote:
Where is the default skin located now? Also, I noticed the trail on the new skin grows from last hit circle to next one instead of just popping the entire line at once, how do i enable that in my own skin?
Thanks, but what's that for and where we can find it?Yuki-kun wrote:

glad to hear that, I'm find for default skin in my skin folder but I can't find it.TechnikaFlash wrote:

Thanks again for the info, and one day I have fully mapped my skin.Yuki-kun wrote:

It's kinda some effects after you hit the note and appear around center of note/tail of slider.
I found it by myself, not related to any skin xD
if you done it right, particles won't block your hitcircles.. particles goes on the bottom of the hitcircle anyway.. ._.Yuki-kun wrote:
Honestly, i still prefer a fully-transparent score after hit a note like before this update than.
The new particle should be as smaller as possible or it can become another visible score 50, 100, 300 ._.
Use your own spinner skin.Francis56789 wrote:

It causes me a lot of lag while playing and it is getting kind of annoying.
May be i will find some ways for it xDHatsune Chiyo wrote:

see? no particles above the hitcircle, just hitbursts..

spinner-glow - appears around spinner when you complete a spinner
Please wait these few days for skin template. Yeah I know many of you would like to start making/updating skins, but well... we can't do much about this. ^^;
- spinner-middle goes red as an indicator on how much time left did you have to spin, and it goes on the VERY TOP of the spinner.
- spinner-middle2, spinner-top and spinner-bottom spins as usual and does what it said.
- you can still use spinner-approachcircle, it does what it used to be..

Here is everything. (Not mine) Everything in there is not skinnable.
If memory serves me correctly it doesn't use one its just flat out defaulted... hence "default skin"Yuki-kun wrote:

You can try removing the BG and putting in playfield.png and rename it to BG.png. Not sure if this works but it's worth a try.JeMhUnTeR wrote:
i tried renaming the bg of a map, and osu! displayed a black background instead of playfield.png (song selection)

Yes, that's why we shouldn't turn it on after all. It's just a funny part when make screenshot for ranking scoreGarygoh884 wrote:

This icon was made originally to full transparency as it wasn't a mod. Also appears in multiplayer screens if other time-based mods are enabled.

It covers mods you used when not reduced opacity like in my imageYuki-kun wrote:

But please note that i used only for fun.
If you want to use, smaller will be better than, same size with mod icon (67x65...i guess)

Well, that's depends on person who is making skin. (his/her photoediting skills, ideas, free time, what is actually skinned etc.). If person really want to release skin it can take few days - up to week.jarrisonfor wrote:

Yes it is, as long as it's created for HD resolution (resolution with height larger than 1000px or forced in osu! config file). Every skin file that is supposed to be HD should have "@2x" in the end. For example :pause-overlay@2x.png
