Timing check.

Stuff like 00:33:295 (5,6,7) - sounds a bit off, but it's not the timing fault. Just the instruments sometimes don't follow the metronome well. Right timing later, for example, at 00:35:616 (1,2,3,4) - proofs it. Yeah, I had placed 00:37:223 (1,2,3,4,5) using 1/12 snap divisor when first mapping the song
This doesn't need to be changed since the timing is quite static here.

Doubles in kiai like 01:17:208 (2,3) - are a bit early placed. Well, that's again not a timing fault because stuff earlier and later sound fine. Look at 01:22:943 (1) - 01:20:296 (2) - 01:18:531 (4) - they all are fine. Still, all these doubles sound better if placed 1/6 later. I mean, 01:17:208 (2,3) - 01:18:972 (5,6) - 01:24:266 (2,3) - should be probably moved 1/6 forward. Still, the most precise fix for me is to move first note 1/6 later and second note 1/12 later, but that is kinda too much... 1/6 everywhere could be enough. Ask someone else about these doubles for a double-check. I had originally snapped these double using 1/3 snap divisor, so basically placing them 1/6 later as you suggest, because a lot of notes are placed on 1/3 beats during this moment, but the music sheet says they should be on 1/2 beats so I changed it. Gonna do more testing with this :/

Also, while I'm here, I have to say that 01:28:825 (1,2,3) - is too hard to read. Replace last two circles with a single slider.
You should add more sliders generally. As well as here: 01:30:870 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,1,1,1) -
Timing changes are unexpectable, so placing sliders to make it clear is a good idea. Ok

Also this one: 01:31:417 (3) - should probably be moved 1/12 earlier... Timing is fine again because next note is on-spot, but this one is a bit off.

Overall: timing is perfect, but some notes in the music do not follow the metronome good enough. It can be fixed by finding proper beat snapping, like moving 1/12 later or earlier, but that is sometimes not a good solution. 1/12 snapped notes are hard to play, so using a static beat snapping is always better. Still, there are some ways to make the timing good and not to hurt the gameplay. You may try it, for example here:
01:30:870 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - Here, I did suggest to move first (3) note 1/12 earlier. Also I said that it's a good idea to add sliders. So, if you don't want to make gameplay harder and want to still follow the music perfectly, you can place tricky notes on slider ends. Player doesn't need to press anything on slider ends, so that doesn't hurt gameplay. Try this here:
Thanks a lot for this. What is the best way to handle those notes that are placed 1/12 or so too early/late, though? Is it ok, from a rankability point of view, to place notes on 1/12 beats? Or is is better to always add more timing sections, even if it's only for a couple notes, so that notes are snapped on 1/4 or 1/3?

For instance, 00:34:545 (1,2,3) could use a timing section, maybe? Or is it better to place them on 1/12 beats.

Thanks for your help! Gonna be using them sliders, thanks for the tip
grumd
Actually, placing few notes on a 1/12 and adding another red lines for the sake of 1/4 is the same.
As I already said, the best way for such tricky notes is to cover them by sliders, that makes it more readable. Extra timing sections are not needed, timing is perfect.

Here's what I ended up doing for now:

Notes that are a bit off during 168bpm section: no change, as you suggested, and I feel like this part is playable without problem

Doubles in kiai time: I have the feeling they aren't all the same :/
01:22:502 (5,6) - seem correct on 1/2 beats
01:18:972 (5,6) - are like both 1/12 beats late or smth close
but 01:17:208 (2,3) - have more delay (i.e. what you indicated, around 1/6 early for first and 1/12 for second)
So for now I let all of them snapped on 1/4, to leave it playable. Fixing with sliders to "hide" the delays wouldn't really fit for there so I'm not sure what I should do :/

01:28:825 (1,2,3) I added sliders for easier play on the rythm changes

01:31:417 (3) should definitely be smth like 1/12 earlier but I feel like 01:31:012 (2) as well as 01:31:870 (2) are a bit off too. Maybe this timing section is not perfect? Anyway I changed to what you suggested with the sliders

Thanks for helping!

Easy

00:42:938 (3) - NC remove next
01:22:061 (3) - Not visible enough, due to the preview slider overlapping
01:51:250 (3) - Remove Finish add on next element

Normal

00:39:723 (1,2) - Too hard for beginners, try something different
00:55:259 (3) - Two repeats might confuse new players, make just one and add a circle after
01:11:866 (5,6) - Like 00:39:723
01:17:208 (2,3,5,6) - Dont make them in an Easy or Normal diff, they are too sudden and not readable and also too hard for players which just starded osu
01:22:502 (4,5,2,3,6,7,3,4) - ^

01:21:472 - Add circle, to make a better transition to the next slider
01:23:384 (1) - Also confuses newbies, since its on a 1/2 tick, move it to preview white tick and make it longer up to the next white tick

01:29:070 (1) - Remove NC
01:41:040 (5,6,7) - This pattern doesnt work out, first you can see the slider good, the end, since there are hitbursts which might hide the repeat arrow but there is none atm but still, the second is the one thing i already said about the 2 circles. The pattern doesnt work out how it is now, the slider should be fully visible
01:51:250 (1) - Remove NC add on next element
01:51:250 (1) - Add finish instead of the preview one, delete the finish on 01:50:893 (5) -

Hard

00:23:652 (1,1) - Remove NC
00:34:366 (9) - Unstack them to give better playability and flow
00:59:009 (9) - NC remove next
01:00:795 (6) - NC
01:28:090 (5,6) - This is not visible, move them up above the circles before
01:31:012 (2) - Delete this circle

01:30:870 (1) - Remove NC
01:31:441 (2,1,2) - This doesnt sound right, its not placed well on the timeline and doesnt go to the music maybe delete these 01:31:441 (2,1,2,3,1) - and add a spinner instead since the violin goes, make the spinner end at 01:32:571 -
01:39:237 (1,1,1,1,1) - Too many NC, reduce them
01:44:107 (1,1) - Remove NC

00:29:009 (3,1) - Hm, I don't think the transition from one to the other note is so nice. Slider goes up at the end wehile we need to go down with the mouse. Fixed, and also changed a bit following combo for better placement
01:09:723 (2) - ctrl + g? Maybe not good because of spacing. But would have a nice flow. Dist Snap would be 1,90 so no way ^^ I think it looks good like it is now though
Well, that's all for Easy. Really nice one. Thank you :)

[Normal]

Nothing to say here. Nice one as well. ^

[Hard]
00:35:259 (3,1) - not a big problem, but I dunno if it is really a good idea to change the spacing. *shrugs* fixed, was unintentional
00:37:223 (1,2) - See? You didn't done it here as well. yeah, previous was just mistake from me, sorry -_-
00:46:509 (1,2) - Great! lol, what do you mean?
00:59:188 (1,2,3) - Maybe make it looking a bit rounder? Good idea, changed
01:12:402 (6,1) - Spacing again. fixed
{
01:28:237 (6,1,2,3) - Problem here, the high pitch starts at 01:28:605
Try to have at 01:27:649~01:28:384 a gap, like a imposing break. And then you could start here 01:28:531 with a slider which has reverse arrows up to 01:29:070 ? Cannot do the slider with reverse arrow on this time because there is only 1/3 beat between 01:28:972 and 01:29:070 I think it's not too bad now but I'll think about your idea
}
01:36:614 (1) - Could be made rounder. True. Changed it a bit
01:49:821 (3,4,5) - different spacing. fixed

Yeah, that should it be.
I have enjoyed your difficulties, that's why I'm giving you a star. Woohooo 8-) mega kudos to you :3
Hope I could help you somehow and wish you good luck on it! Thanks a lot for the modding. As you can see, I changed almost all you said ^^ I'm glad you enjoyed the map, thx again for shooting star :)

00:22:581 (1) and 00:24:723 (3) - add whistle? good idea, added
00:46:152 (1) - add whistle too? + make the sound more louder from here? there's whisle on the end of 00:46:509 (2) so I prefer not to add another whisle so close, sounds kinda wrong. ok for sound louder
00:59:009 (1) - from here .... you see if you make ^ louder = make this a bit lower I prefer to come back to lower earlier than this
01:07:581 (1) - again louder ^
01:34:647 (1) - if ^ do it = a lower sound here already the case
01:54:821 (4) - use sound 10% (with inhereit timing / the green one) ^

00:41:866 (5) - new combo? ok
00:42:581 (6) - make like this? ^

00:46:152 (1) - louder part ^
00:45:438 (4) - the number note and the reserve note on slider add whistle? the no symbol note dont use anything sounds a bit weird, might add later, there were some whisles there before, but that was a bit too much so I removed

01:12:940 (1) - number note use whistle ^[/b]

Easy

00:42:938 (3) - NC remove next this would look better graphically but wrong with the music, so hesitation. Might change later
01:22:061 (3) - Not visible enough, due to the preview slider overlapping fixed
01:51:250 (3) - Remove Finish add on next element removed finish, added whistle instead, didnt add finish on next element

Normal

00:39:723 (1,2) - Too hard for beginners, try something different No it's ok, complete beginners can play the easy map and it isn't that hard
00:55:259 (3) - Two repeats might confuse new players, make just one and add a circle after ok
01:11:866 (5,6) - Like 00:39:723 it's ok, all the "fast" notes are with slider repeats, really it's not that hard
01:17:208 (2,3,5,6) - Dont make them in an Easy or Normal diff, they are too sudden and not readable and also too hard for players which just starded osu I thought about this, these arent in easy diff, and I think it's ok for normal. Will change for sliders if more people mention but it would feel much less good with the music
01:22:502 (4,5,2,3,6,7,3,4) - ^ ^
01:21:472 - Add circle, to make a better transition to the next slider no, wouldnt go well with music
01:23:384 (1) - Also confuses newbies, since its on a 1/2 tick, move it to preview white tick and make it longer up to the next white tick nope, same, would not fit music well
01:29:070 (1) - Remove NC changed
01:41:040 (5,6,7) - This pattern doesnt work out, first you can see the slider good, the end, since there are hitbursts which might hide the repeat arrow but there is none atm but still, the second is the one thing i already said about the 2 circles. The pattern doesnt work out how it is now, the slider should be fully visible Did something easier
01:51:250 (1) - Remove NC add on next element hmm, no why
01:51:250 (1) - Add finish instead of the preview one, delete the finish on 01:50:893 (5) Same as normal, removed finish, added whisle, didn't add finish on next

Hard

00:23:652 (1,1) - Remove NC agreed, i had done that, then a mod told to add NC here but feels much better like this
00:34:366 (9) - Unstack them to give better playability and flowchanged a bit
00:59:009 (9) - NC remove next hmm no
01:00:795 (6) - NC ok
01:28:090 (5,6) - This is not visible, move them up above the circles before This is intentional, will remove if considered unrankable by MAT/BAT but I like it this way
01:31:012 (2) - Delete this circle I'm working on changing this part atm, it's the trickiest of the song rythm-wise, but there will be something there anyway, currently the beginning of a slider ^^
01:30:870 (1) - Remove NC no it's the fireworks in the background, need colors xD, and also music change at this moment
01:31:441 (2,1,2) - This doesnt sound right, its not placed well on the timeline and doesnt go to the music maybe delete these 01:31:441 (2,1,2,3,1) - and add a spinner instead since the violin goes, make the spinner end at 01:32:571 - Same as previous, it's the tricky part, notes are well placed on timeline, I guess you didnt notice the bpm changes explaining the weird feeling, but the spinner might be the solution eventually. That's what I had done first... Not decided just yet for this
01:39:237 (1,1,1,1,1) - Too many NC, reduce them Did you get file without video? It's the fireworks in the BG! Need colours
01:44:107 (1,1) - Remove NC done

Timing is fine since 01:30:870 (1) - and 01:31:727 (1) - sound on-spot. It's just the song being untimeable and non-rhythmic... You can do nothing about it, in any way it would be poorly playable.

Would you consider this unrankable issue? If so, maybe give up on this hard part and add spinner instead like I had done in the first place? (which would be a shame, plz don't answer yes, lol)

Alright, quick recheck.

You still need to change the video offset to 2101ms. Remember to do this in all difficulties.

SuperMoutarde wrote:

01:16:767 (1) - Kiai section - I know it's Easy but this part needs more motion. This is the big dance. This is where Squall gets his shit together and tears up the dance floor. Try using sliders for this whole kiai section. I felt there was smth wrong but I couldnt put the finger on it, definitely feels better with more sliders here. Changed
It doesn't look like you actually changed anything here... same goes for the other difficulties. Not sure if you forgot or decided not to after all, but I still think you should. This is such a great slider song... don't settle for circles!

The actual song timing seems about spot-on to me. Even when I set it to OD10, I do pretty well. What you have now is probably about the best you're gonna get.

Other than this stuff, though, the mapset seems rock-solid to me. Good work!

I uploaded a new version with the kai times patterns unchanged but I still intend to remap as you recommended. Didn't have time to do it well enough yet, when I tried patterns were shitty so I need time to do this well especially since I intend to change it in all three diff as you suggested with more slider speed.

ok, thank you, I fail at streams too much myself so I never know if my bad accuracy is because of bad play or wrong timings so this kind of feedback is really helpful ^^

Yay, thanks!
Thank you very much for timing feedback and recheck. Sorry for not changin kiai yet, I don't lie, when I disagree with mod I say so, so when I say "changed" it means it is changed right now or will be changed soon if it takes time. ^^

edit: yay thx for shooting star :)

edit2: I changed the kiai times as you suggested now. I changed Easy more than Normal and Normal more than Hard, as I feel like the Hard one was actually pretty good already (I only made it a bit harder by increasing Slider speed, but no other real change).

Should I place 01:16:767 (1) on blue tick at 01:16:739 ? Shouldn't it be on a white tick? What was wrong with starting the 204bpm section on 76,767?

EDIT: fixed through in-game chat. there was just typo in one offset ^^

EDIT2: thanks for editing with even better timing :) I just uploaded a new version using them

Hi, mod time from #modreqs /o/

[General]
Your hitbursts are too traslucent, it would be better if they were solid and opaque.
Add "Square Enix" to tags.
Edit: Remove "final fantasy VIII" from tags as you have it as the source.

[Easy]
00:42:938 (3,1,2) - This could look better, curves always are nice, try this.

00:42:938 (3) - x:104 y:308
00:43:295 (1) - x:172 y:332
00:43:652 (2) - x:240 y:312
00:47:580 (3,4) - I suggest something like this, looks nice, if you do, remember fix the placement of the objects after this.
00:50:438 - 00:57:938 - The same circular flow can be a bit boring, try changing the direction of the flow here.

[Normal]
00:20:106 (4) - 1 grid to the left (level 4) to be stacked with 00:18:138 (1)
00:39:723 - Try one of these rhythm, the one you have can be a bit difficult.

01:11:866 -

:!: 01:31:012 - Must delete the uninherited point here.

[Hard]
Yay, all fun with those streams.
:!: Decrease the AR to 7, following the pace of the song.
00:18:138 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - It would be better if the flow were a bit curved.
00:45:438 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Let's improve a bit this along with the stream, make something similar to this.
01:18:245 (1,2,3,4) - The spacing here should be less, it's a bit hard hit a stream like this, but it's up to you.
01:21:774 (1,2,3,4) - ^
01:25:301 (1,2,3,4) - ^
:!: 01:30:852 (1,2,1,2) - The timing here is messed up (also the song itself), I highly recommend replace them with a spinner from 01:30:852 until 01:32:571.

Well, that's all from my part, good luck /o/

yeah this is on purpose, it was easier before I think it's more fun now, and more dynamic

It is indeed, I've been considering this, or a small break because it's the fireworks time in the video so hiding it with a spinner would be a shame. Still, now this part is decently mapped so I'm keeping it for now

Well, that's all from my part, good luck /o/
Thanks a lot for the good advice :)

Here for a recheck.

Anyway, I find that you missed a timing section of 204 BPM at 77,216.
Please remember to do this for all difficulties.

Due to this, you might have to make certain changes etc.

Easy:

- 01:29:179 - Unsnapped inherited timing point.

Normal:

- 01:20:598 (2) - Doesn't seem to be snapping to anything. Resnap this.

- 01:27:061 - Unsnapped inherited timing section.

Hard:

- 01:30:998 (2) - Unsnapped slider. As a compromise, end it on the blue tick perhaps.

- 01:45:536 (2) - & - 01:48:036 (3) - Unsnapped notes.

- 01:50:536 (5) - Unsnapped slider as well.

Almost too many, in fact.
TMAstraf
Easy
01:07:580 Maybe Spinner should end here
01:12:940 A little bit more distance to sliders

Normal:
01:20:598 Make Slider a little pixel shorter

Hard:
01:32:571 - 01:33:506 maybe remove all new combos

BTW: AWESOME Map! =D

That's All! =)

Timing and note placement is pretty nice now, got this fine result with my first try :3
Upd: SS on my second try :D

A bit of modding, since I'm here.

Hard
  1. 00:18:138 (1,2,3) - Since there was no music earlier, it's hard to predict the rhythm and bpm here. My suggestion is to replace these by a repeating slider, this will show the rhythm at once.
  2. 00:37:223 (7) - Remove new combo here and add it to 00:37:759 (1) - , right as you did before at 00:34:545 (1) -
  3. Also talked via irc about removing last section (to make the ending more natural) and reshaping some parts of the map to make it look prettier.
Normal
  1. 01:29:079 (5) - Add a whistle, this part lacks of hitsounds.
  2. 01:34:646 (1) - Place whistle at the start, remove it from end. The whistle sound in the music starts there.
  3. 01:36:613 - Add a whistle here.
  4. 01:37:268 - Remove it from here (just same as above)
  5. 01:38:580 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - And add whistles at the heads of all these sliders.
  6. Don't forget that you should remove ending section in every diff btw.
Easy
  1. 01:16:733 (1) - This circle should be placed a bit farther to not confuse people. Now this spacing looks too similar to 1-2-3 before. My suggestion: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/586871
  2. 01:18:539 (3,4,1,2,3,4) - This part looks too monotonous. Replace one or two of these sliders by a pair of circles.
  3. 01:43:035 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - Here too pls. Oh wait, you was going to remove this last section anyway xD
Oh, and AIBat stuff:
  1. Inconsistent kiai time, preview time, red timing sections.

  1. 01:29:079 (5) - Add a whistle, this part lacks of hitsounds. added, as well as a couple more in this part
  2. 01:34:646 (1) - Place whistle at the start, remove it from end. The whistle sound in the music starts there. done
  3. 01:36:613 - Add a whistle here.^
  4. 01:37:268 - Remove it from here (just same as above)^
  5. 01:38:580 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - And add whistles at the heads of all these sliders.^
  6. Don't forget that you should remove ending section in every diff btw.yep, done, it's obviously better this way
Easy
  1. 01:16:733 (1) - This circle should be placed a bit farther to not confuse people. Now this spacing looks too similar to 1-2-3 before. My suggestion: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/586871 fixed
  2. 01:18:539 (3,4,1,2,3,4) - This part looks too monotonous. Replace one or two of these sliders by a pair of circles. done
  3. 01:43:035 (1,2,3,4,1,2) - Here too pls. Oh wait, you was going to remove this last section anyway xD ^^
Oh, and AIBat stuff:

  1. fixed

  2. fixed
  3. Inconsistent kiai time, preview time, red timing sections.
    all fixed
Thanks a lot! Changed all :) gj for SS on 2nd shot, not like I'm jealous I can do it too (in normal diff xD)

hi SuperMoutarde!

the map is great! :D i like it.

i dont like much the background, but ho well..
about the game play.. all diffs looks great!!!
but i think miss something!!

This is a classical song, so you need more hitsounds volume changes! This will help to get more into de song, and helps get more accuracy too!
my suggestions for hitsounds volume:

00:18:794 - Add Inheriting section hitsounds volume 20%
00:18:958 - Remove Inheriting section
00:19:122 - Add Inheriting section hitsounds volume 25%
00:19:450 - Add Inheriting section hitsounds volume 30%
00:19:778 - Add Inheriting section hitsounds volume 35%
00:20:434 - Remove Inheriting section
00:21:089 - volume 30%
00:21:417 - in 3/4 timming point volume 20%
00:22:581 - 25% volome
00:45:438 - volume 40%

well,i wont do this for all map lol, but i hope you understand what im talking about. Its a small way you can improve your map.
If you do, do that for all diffs try be consistent.

Good luck :3

I changed a bit the volume during the intro based on your suggestions, the rest seems fine to me.

Thanks for modding! As for the background well you're supposed to play this with video ^^

  1. Since you used custom hitcircle skin, so you should add a line "SliderBorder : 255,255,255" in bottom of [Colours] section to prevent skin blending.
  2. Border of the hitcircle.png looks messy. Would you make it tidy?
  3. Seems the video has wrong aspect ratio. It should be 4:3. Yeah, they look squashed. Moreover it has audio stream, which should be removed to reduce osz size.
  4. Comboburst has unnecessary area transparented. And it should be flipped by horizontally due to her line of sight.

  5. Offsets : I'm fine with current timings except some of them below.
01:17:363 - Move this offset to 01:17:657 to count measures correctly.

Hey, not gonna make a full mod post right now but I just played this briefly and the mp3 quality is very bad. It's a direct rip from the video right? I can hear the sound effects and everything.

I'd recommend using the CD version without the sound effects and try to find a better quality mp3. If you decide to change then let me know if you're having difficulties finding a new one and I'll help. ^_^

I assume you've been playing without the video? It's entirely on purpose that there are the sound effects. I do have an "album" version but I think it would be really a shame to not have the sound effects (fireworks at the end, intro before actual music starts, etc). That's why I had to get it directly form the video. I've been trying to find precisely this audio track (with the sound effects) in good quality but I couldn't find one. If it's the only solution, I can use a cut version of the "album" version without sound effects, but that would not be ideal :(

Actually I was playing with the video, my concern is more about the quality not the sound effects (but if someone does play no video or downloads only the no vid version then it may be strange for them, that's why I think it's always best to use clean versions). Like you I only have the album version in HQ and you'd have to cut it to make it fit but if you can find a good quality mp3 with the sound effects then that would be ideal. I've looked but I can't find one atm, maybe someone else can help with this? =P

Thanks a lot!! I still need to fix the video's aspect ratio, and I'm not entirely sure about the combo burst transparency, the rest is fixed
Sure
About the comboburst, if you have photoshop, you could use trim option to cut extra transpaent area off automatically.
The old one had about 40 pixels height transparent area above her head.
And the video, if you give me the original source, I can fix it for you.
By the way, I don't care if you change the mp3 or not. It's not too bad to me. Anyway changing mp3 is painful in this case.

Making mistakes while attempting timing on this has been so frequent for me I think it's a curse by now.
I go back to my earlier post here and find out I provided a 51.252 BPM which is pretty off, and at this point I can't tell if that's just my typo or really the timing I settled with and gave you at that particular moment of time.
Thankfully, it doesn't implicate the map a lot.

51.53 BPM at 21,417.

Ensures the timing section at - 00:22:581 (1) - is snapped.

Why did you delete the rest of the map after - 01:41:859 - though ?
I thought it had some pretty great stuff.

Please don't give kudosu for this post.

Hey, thanks for coming and recheck :)

I deleted the end of the map to make it end more naturally. I believe it was grumd's advice but other mods had mentionned this too, because it ended very abruptly before, just when a new "verse" had started. It makes the map even shorter, but I think it's more smooth this way

I fixed the bpm on the section at 21,417. there s no note on it so as you said not a big issue, but now next timing section is snapped on this. You probably wanted to type 51.52 in your original message ^^ Thanks again!
Faust
And here we go.

SuperMoutarde wrote:

It was actually something like:
grumd: uh, the map ends so abruptly...
SuperMoutarde: some modders adviced to remove last part completely
grumd: oh yeah, that could work!
lolcubes
Was asked to recheck timing, and so I did. I feel that the ending is a little to early, everything else is pretty much spot on.

Faust wrote:

This is wrong. There is no music to suggest any timing here. Having a timing section to "snap" the next one is just wrong. This timing section should be removed in my opinion. There is nothing wrong to leave the old timing here and BPM manipulation without solid evidence (such as beats) is not really allowed. :|
01:11:866 - I like this much better as 167 and then having everything shifted by +3ms. Works better if you ask me.
01:16:186 - This one shouldn't exist either. There is no musical basis that this is 109 bpm.
01:22:954 - This works better if you put 205 bpm here...
01:23:835 - ...and put 204 bpm here and move it to 01:23:832.
01:29:082 - I am getting 202 bpm here.
01:30:864 - I am getting 208 bpm here.
01:31:729 - I am getting 203 bpm here.
01:32:574 - This one is a bit early. I tried moving it to 01:32:585 with 195 bpm and it works better.
01:33:509 - This also shouldn't exist cause there is no music at all. Instead there should be a green line cancelling the kiai. (with my timing above this becomes 01:33:508)
01:34:646 - I am getting offset 01:34:657 here.

Basically the timing is more or less okay it's just that I believe it's slightly early at the end. Timing sections not mentioned above are fine (though after 01:11:866 the whole map needs +3ms, which means the other not-mentioned red sections as well, before you start changing to the values I described above.)

About those red lines which "snap" others, the removal of downbeats is kinda irrelevant here cause there are no notes anyway. Every new section has it's own red line with a downbeat already so all is fine when taiko is concerned.
Also since this is an arranged piece, I highly doubt there are BPMs which go into the 2nd or 3rd decimal value, and even the first decimal value can be debated hehe.

I am much more comfortable with these small changes I made to your timing, which were tested afterwards on OD9 and worked much better.

I will not pop this map just yet, I still want to have a word with Faust about the timing because he is also a very experienced timer, however there are always doubts, nobody is perfect. Chances are I am wrong too haha.

Fast rank this!

It's been a week (actually 10 days) so recheck time. Sadly Lybydose couldn't check this but eh, I rechecked it now anyway.

Timing:
01:23:832 - Remove this red section, 204 bpm is too slow here and 205 seems to work best.
01:27:344 - Move everything from here onwards (including this) by -16, except for 01:34:657 and others (includes green lines too)
After you do all this, select everything and apply -8 offset to absolutely everything. Be careful how you resnap, the offset seems late to me.

This should be it. I can rebubble afterwards as the set looks nice. Sorry for the trouble and that you had to wait for so long, I was very tired when I checked the timing the first time and didn't spend so much on it, with those fixes it should be flawless.

15:55 lolcubes: if you listen to the rhythm closely
15:55 lolcubes: this may not be 204 after all
15:56 lolcubes: and the upcoming 204 is wrong
15:56 lolcubes: it does fit the melody
15:56 lolcubes: but it doesn't match the rhythm background
15:56 SuperMoutarde: this is so weird
15:57 lolcubes: 01:16:728 - try 195 bpm here
15:57 SuperMoutarde: the strangest thing happenned to me when playing FF8 on emulator, btw : the emulator crashed during this scene at the exact moment of the 204 BPM change, and the song kept playing over and over but with the 204 bpm being slowed to 168
15:57 lolcubes: and remove the upcoming 204
15:57 lolcubes: heh
15:57 lolcubes: you can directly rip the vid from the pc version though
15:57 lolcubes: its in rad video format
15:58 lolcubes: xd
15:58 SuperMoutarde: I didn't know about the PC version until you told me about it today xD
15:59 lolcubes: ill brb
16:01 SuperMoutarde: ok, i pu 195
16:01 SuperMoutarde: put
16:05 lolcubes: 01:22:946 (1,2,3) - why no whistles? :D
16:11 lolcubes: think i got this timing right now
16:11 lolcubes: im getting below 10% mistimed now
16:11 SuperMoutarde: yay, with what you told me, or did you make more changes?
16:11 lolcubes: more changes
16:11 lolcubes: very simple ones :P
16:11 SuperMoutarde: :)
16:12 SuperMoutarde: do I have the right to kudos you again since it's been a week since last time you helped?
16:12 lolcubes: no
16:13 lolcubes: usually kudosu = modpost
16:13 lolcubes: thats about it
16:13 SuperMoutarde: ok
16:13 lolcubes: this is just finishing the post from before
16:13 lolcubes: cause it was incorrect
16:13 SuperMoutarde: yeah but you take so much time
16:13 SuperMoutarde: compared to lazy mods who run AIBat and say the map looks too good for them to mod
16:13 SuperMoutarde: and stille arn their kudosu
16:13 lolcubes: i know right
16:13 lolcubes: i don't even use that
16:13 lolcubes: i simply refuse to :P
16:14 lolcubes: though 95% of the team uses it <_<
16:14 SuperMoutarde: well I do, cauz it helps, but I also mod it myself
16:14 lolcubes: i rather make a human mistake and be responsible for it
16:14 lolcubes: but still retain my ability to mod properly
16:14 lolcubes: than get lazy and do all that
16:14 lolcubes: and then go "oh but ai bat is outdated" or w/e
16:15 SuperMoutarde: so many lazy modders that when someone is really helpful I want them to be rewarded ^^
16:15 SuperMoutarde: aibat is still a plus
16:15 SuperMoutarde: like for skin dimensions and shit
16:15 lolcubes: its handy for certain things
16:15 lolcubes: which may be time wasting for a human to check
16:15 SuperMoutarde: snapping too
16:15 lolcubes: i still prefer to take extra time to do it myself too
16:15 lolcubes: snapping checker is already built into the game
16:16 SuperMoutarde: but doesnt work too well
16:16 lolcubes: it does
16:16 lolcubes: it snaps to below 1ms precision
16:16 SuperMoutarde: it didnt tell me that I had unsnapped notes when I actually still had
16:16 lolcubes: ...thats good enough :/
16:16 SuperMoutarde: and AIBat pointed out what the normal AIMod didnt see
16:16 SuperMoutarde: but this was 1ms errors
16:17 lolcubes: you know why it does that?
16:17 lolcubes: because they are not always errors
16:17 lolcubes: the thing is
16:17 lolcubes: when you have many red sections
16:17 lolcubes: what AIBat doesn't know is
16:17 lolcubes: for some reason due to mathematical errors
16:17 lolcubes: timeline IS actually 1ms off
16:17 SuperMoutarde: oO
16:17 SuperMoutarde: that explains a lot
16:17 lolcubes: so when you have a super handy bpm lets say 180
16:17 lolcubes: and you put it somewhere
16:18 lolcubes: after a while
16:18 lolcubes: you will notice ticks get 1ms off sometimes
16:18 lolcubes: not always, but sometimes
16:18 lolcubes: while aibat is just pure rounded math
16:18 lolcubes: in the end it doesn't really make a difference
16:18 SuperMoutarde: i got this problem exactly with this map many times
16:18 lolcubes: but it happens
16:19 SuperMoutarde: as you say it's only 1ms difference so not a big deal anyway, but I couldn't understand why it did that even if I checked the option to resnap notes on new timing
16:19 SuperMoutarde: as you say it's only 1ms difference so not a big deal anyway, but I couldn't understand why it did that even if I checked the option to resnap notes on new timing
16:19 lolcubes: this is also when you have weird bpms
16:19 lolcubes: like you had
16:20 lolcubes: 53.420 or w/e it was
16:20 lolcubes: hehe
16:20 lolcubes: because the game rounds it up to 1ms
16:20 lolcubes: while aibat still doesn't
16:20 SuperMoutarde: wait, did you tell me your additional timing changes or not?
16:20 lolcubes: no
16:20 lolcubes: im still building it
16:20 lolcubes: there are some minor things
16:20 SuperMoutarde: oh ok ^^
16:20 lolcubes: which make it go whack
16:23 lolcubes: 01:26:356 (5) - this note is a bit awkward
16:23 lolcubes: i believe this one is actually on a 1/4 tick
16:23 lolcubes: sigh, this song
16:23 lolcubes: 1/2 tick i mean
16:23 lolcubes: if thats the case
16:23 lolcubes: i would recommend a short slider lol
16:24 SuperMoutarde: hmm it doesn't sound like it should be on blue tick to me (i mean in terms of the music sheet)
16:24 lolcubes: not bllue
16:24 lolcubes: red
16:25 SuperMoutarde: you sure?
16:25 lolcubes: it does sound like it to me
16:26 SuperMoutarde: it's on white tick in the music sheet I believe
16:26 lolcubes: yeah well
16:26 lolcubes: wait what
16:26 lolcubes: white?
16:27 lolcubes: the note 5
16:27 lolcubes: is currently on a 1/3 tick
16:27 SuperMoutarde: ooo
16:27 SuperMoutarde: lol
16:27 SuperMoutarde: my bad
16:27 SuperMoutarde: i was looking at 01:27:336 (1) the whole time
16:27 lolcubes: 6 is on the downbeat yes
16:27 lolcubes: thats correct
16:27 lolcubes: hehe
16:28 lolcubes: 01:26:307 (5) - yeah im positive this should be here lol
16:28 lolcubes: on the 1/2 tick
16:29 SuperMoutarde: yeah definitely
16:29 SuperMoutarde: an error that occured when changing timing
16:29 SuperMoutarde: i had this on red tick the whole time
16:30 SuperMoutarde: well it's 311 for me but i assume it's because you made adjustment to the offset
16:30 lolcubes: more like bpm
16:30 lolcubes: hehe
16:30 SuperMoutarde: ^^
16:30 lolcubes: there is a simple logic here
16:30 lolcubes: so that 209 bpm you have
16:30 lolcubes: should be 208
16:30 lolcubes: but it should come earlier
16:31 SuperMoutarde: k
16:31 lolcubes: there is a pretty obvious pattern here
16:31 lolcubes: dont change yet though
16:31 lolcubes: cause there are some new stuff here
16:31 lolcubes: currently its an offset battle
16:31 lolcubes: i think i got the bpms down
16:31 SuperMoutarde: ahah an offset battle xD
16:31 SuperMoutarde: brb in 5minuts
16:34 lolcubes: ok
16:34 lolcubes: its perfect now
16:34 lolcubes: just say when you're back
16:34 lolcubes: this is working very nicely
16:42 SuperMoutarde: here i am
16:42 lolcubes: im just fine tuning the end
16:42 lolcubes: cause the end breaks with the current timing
16:42 lolcubes: but it looks much more clean now :P
16:42 SuperMoutarde: :)
16:46 lolcubes: lets use this
16:46 lolcubes: i almost SSd with od8
16:46 lolcubes: ok so
16:46 SuperMoutarde: clean result :)
16:46 lolcubes: 01:16:728 - 195 bpm
16:47 lolcubes: 01:17:652 - 204 bpm
16:47 lolcubes: 01:19:416 - 205 bpm
16:47 lolcubes: argh just one moment i need to solve one thing fast :P
16:48 lolcubes: 01:22:933 - 208 bpm
16:48 SuperMoutarde: are you suggesting to remove offset 77211 204 BPM?
16:48 lolcubes: yes
16:48 SuperMoutarde: ok
16:50 lolcubes: 01:22:928 - 208 bpm, which means the above 208 i wrote
16:50 lolcubes: move by -5
16:50 SuperMoutarde: k
16:51 lolcubes: one sec
16:51 lolcubes: wtf
16:51 lolcubes: my timing sections bugged
16:51 lolcubes: what am i doing :D
16:51 SuperMoutarde: lolol
16:51 SuperMoutarde: Sorry for putting you in such trouble xD
16:51 lolcubes: i had like
16:52 lolcubes: 2 sections on top of each other
16:52 lolcubes: so the lower bpm counted
16:52 lolcubes: argh
16:52 SuperMoutarde: lulz
16:52 lolcubes: now this is wrong lol
16:52 SuperMoutarde: which one was it?
16:52 lolcubes: the 208
16:52 SuperMoutarde: k
16:52 lolcubes: there is no 208
16:52 lolcubes: just remove
16:53 SuperMoutarde: so this should be on the 205 right?
16:53 lolcubes: from before? yes
16:53 SuperMoutarde: k
16:53 lolcubes: jesus what is wrong with this game
16:53 lolcubes: its already up to 900MB of ram
16:53 SuperMoutarde: oO
16:54 SuperMoutarde: lol, crash?
16:54 lolcubes: yes
16:54 lolcubes: lol
16:54 SuperMoutarde: editor makes my laptot overheat too
16:54 SuperMoutarde: laptopµ
16:54 lolcubes: well
16:54 lolcubes: the latest update
16:54 lolcubes: my osu is usually around 300~400
16:54 lolcubes: but latest update makes it go 900~1gb
16:54 lolcubes: and then crash
16:54 SuperMoutarde: wth
16:54 lolcubes: idk why
16:55 lolcubes: also the hitsounds started bugging for me again
16:55 lolcubes: cause xonar is a bullshit card for this game
16:55 lolcubes: that was fixed at some point
16:55 lolcubes: but now its unfixed
16:55 lolcubes: :/
16:55 SuperMoutarde: it was pretty minor update from the look of it
16:55 SuperMoutarde: that' s weird
17:00 lolcubes: yes this works
17:00 lolcubes: fixed it
17:00 lolcubes: ok so
17:01 lolcubes: ill just repeat
17:01 SuperMoutarde: ok,done. is it correct that the 205 bpm section goes from 79416 to 87336?
17:01 lolcubes: 01:16:728 - 195
17:01 lolcubes: 01:17:652 - 204
17:01 lolcubes: 01:19:416 - 205
17:01 SuperMoutarde: all these: done
17:01 lolcubes: 01:23:806 - 204
17:02 lolcubes: 01:26:453 - 205
17:03 lolcubes: 01:27:331 - 208
17:03 lolcubes: 01:28:196 - 205
17:03 lolcubes: 01:29:074 - 202
17:03 lolcubes: 01:30:856 - 205
17:04 lolcubes: 01:31:734 - 202
17:04 lolcubes: remove the rest
17:04 lolcubes: now there are a few special things to know
17:04 lolcubes: which you didn't originally do
17:04 lolcubes: and that is why people went to really silly timing values, including myself
17:05 lolcubes: 01:31:051 (2) - this slider here actually starts on a 1/3 tick
17:05 lolcubes: and ends on 01:31:441 - (you need 1/6 snap for this)
17:05 lolcubes: 01:31:932 (2) - same with this one here
17:05 lolcubes: starts on 1/3 ends on 01:32:328 - (also 1/6 snap cause 1/3 and 1/2 together make 1/6 else slider goes derp)
17:06 SuperMoutarde: oh ok, nice catch
17:13 lolcubes: you here?
17:13 lolcubes: my connection died for a minute haha
17:15 SuperMoutarde: i am here
17:15 SuperMoutarde: i am fixing the slider starting on 1/3 beat
17:15 lolcubes: okay
17:15 SuperMoutarde: sliders*
17:15 lolcubes: there are a few tricks we will include into the maps as well
17:15 lolcubes: so the video plays until the end
17:15 SuperMoutarde: how to?
17:15 lolcubes: tell me when you're done fixing
17:15 lolcubes: and update
17:15 lolcubes: so i can recheck
17:15 lolcubes: its a simple trick ill tell you after you fix stuff
17:15 lolcubes: we will do that at the end
17:16 SuperMoutarde: alright
17:17 SuperMoutarde: you meant I should place the beginning of the sliders on the 1/3 beat that is before its previous starting point, right?
17:18 SuperMoutarde: or after?
17:18 lolcubes: just link me the slider
17:18 lolcubes: ill tell you where to start
17:18 lolcubes: and where to end
17:18 lolcubes: its most simple :P
17:18 SuperMoutarde: 01:30:953 (2) -
17:19 lolcubes: 01:31:051 - this tick here
17:19 lolcubes: ends on 01:31:441 -
17:20 SuperMoutarde: ok, i knew i was wrong xD
17:20 lolcubes: the other slider should start on 01:31:932 - and end on 01:32:328 -
17:20 lolcubes: just one thing
17:20 lolcubes: i made one small adjustment to the timing here
17:20 lolcubes: sorry for not telling you
17:21 lolcubes: this 202 bpm 01:31:734 -
17:21 lolcubes: 01:32:612 - goes here
17:21 lolcubes: so the final 4 notes come a bit earlier
17:21 lolcubes: cause they were late
17:21 lolcubes: so the section until 01:32:612 - is still 205 bpm
17:21 lolcubes: which is at 01:30:856 -
17:21 SuperMoutarde: i move the offset to 01:32:612, correct?
17:22 lolcubes: on that 202 bpm, yes
17:22 SuperMoutarde: ok
17:24 SuperMoutarde: wait, what happpens to the 195 bpm section then
17:24 lolcubes: poof
17:24 lolcubes: :D
17:24 lolcubes: doesn't exist
17:24 SuperMoutarde: lol ok
17:26 SuperMoutarde: ok i did all, let me just check i didnt fuck up the snapping, and apply to all diff
17:27 lolcubes: yeah and then update
17:28 lolcubes: cause i have some hitsound suggestions hehe
17:28 lolcubes: i didnt even check other diffs yet
17:28 SuperMoutarde: well they re the same but easier
17:28 SuperMoutarde: xD
17:38 lolcubes: fixed all?
17:38 SuperMoutarde: i m applying on normal and easy, gotta fix the green sections and stuff, sorry for slow :/
17:39 lolcubes: oh no worries
17:39 lolcubes: was afk :P
17:47 lolcubes: gonna afk a bit again
17:47 SuperMoutarde: ok
17:47 SuperMoutarde: i m almostdone though
17:47 lolcubes: just let me know when you're done
17:47 SuperMoutarde: k
17:55 SuperMoutarde: I uploaded new version!
17:57 lolcubes: ok in hard
17:57 lolcubes: 01:30:559 (6,7,1,2) - you should rethink this pattern
17:58 lolcubes: it does look ugly :p
17:58 SuperMoutarde: ok
17:58 lolcubes: ill just drop off some suggestions
17:58 SuperMoutarde: you will have to accept the kudos at some point xD
17:59 lolcubes: 01:27:619 (4,5) - whistles at these
17:59 lolcubes: because of the melody
17:59 lolcubes: highlights
17:59 lolcubes: haha sure why not, at this point hehe
17:59 lolcubes: 01:28:927 (2,3,4) - same here, consider soft whistles
17:59 lolcubes: but only on the slider end
17:59 lolcubes: and circles 34
18:00 SuperMoutarde: then it would be good to also add whistle on start of 01:29:965 (5) don't you think?
18:01 lolcubes: oh yeah
18:01 lolcubes: i missed it
18:01 lolcubes: my bad
18:01 SuperMoutarde: ^^
18:01 lolcubes: 01:17:189 (2) - this should be on a 1/3 tick at 01:17:189 (2) -
18:02 lolcubes: wait what
18:02 SuperMoutarde: lolz
18:02 lolcubes: 01:17:240 -
18:02 lolcubes: here
18:02 lolcubes: 01:18:975 (5) - this one should be on a 1/3 tick at 01:19:024 -
18:02 lolcubes: 01:22:489 (5) - on 01:22:537 -
18:02 lolcubes: 01:24:247 (2) - on 01:24:296 -
18:02 lolcubes: 01:26:306 (5) - this one is correct
18:03 lolcubes: leave this one alone :p
18:03 lolcubes: but
18:03 lolcubes: instead of 2 stacking circles
18:03 lolcubes: you should consider using a slider
18:03 SuperMoutarde: well, are you sure? because i had mapped like this at first (mainly because my timing was wrong anyway) but after I look at the music sheet, I saw all these doubles are supposed to be on 1/2
18:03 SuperMoutarde: well, are you sure? because i had mapped like this at first (mainly because my timing was wrong anyway) but after I look at the music sheet, I saw all these doubles are supposed to be on 1/2
18:03 lolcubes: well
18:03 lolcubes: waltz is supposed to be mapped on the white ticks too?
18:03 lolcubes: i mean
18:03 lolcubes: played
18:03 lolcubes: but its improvised a little
18:03 lolcubes: so its on 1/3 ticks
18:03 lolcubes: right? :D
18:04 SuperMoutarde: You know better than I do ^^
18:05 lolcubes: its not really about knowing
18:05 lolcubes: its more about listening hehe
18:06 lolcubes: just when you do those fixes update so i check em again :p
18:06 lolcubes: still have to check other diffs too but i wanna get this one out of the way
18:06 SuperMoutarde: ok, i am doing the changes in all diff already, though ^ ^
18:13 SuperMoutarde: all done and updated!
18:20 lolcubes: in normal
18:20 lolcubes: 00:54:001 (7) - this finish here
18:20 lolcubes: sounds a bit odd
18:20 lolcubes: you have whistles on 00:54:001 (7,8) - in hard
18:20 lolcubes: do the same here?
18:21 SuperMoutarde: fixed
18:21 SuperMoutarde: i had a finish there in hard originally, forgot to change normal when i changed hard
18:21 lolcubes: hm
18:21 lolcubes: if possible
18:21 lolcubes: would you mind changing the logic of the objects in normal?
18:21 lolcubes: for example
18:21 lolcubes: 01:16:728 (1,2) -
18:21 lolcubes: i don't think this would work for a normal
18:22 SuperMoutarde: what would you suggest?
18:22 lolcubes: simply because the starting point is the heavy point
18:22 lolcubes: i would sugest a circle at the start
18:22 lolcubes: and a short slider for the 2 1/3 notes
18:22 lolcubes: for pretty much all occurences of such rhythms here
18:22 SuperMoutarde: ok
18:22 lolcubes: 01:18:240 (3) - this is ok
18:22 lolcubes: but those 2 circles are not
18:22 lolcubes: they are too hard
18:22 lolcubes: should be one small slider
18:22 SuperMoutarde: alright
18:23 lolcubes: 01:23:367 (1) - this feels off and really weird
18:23 lolcubes: rather map the downbeat at 01:22:928 -
18:23 lolcubes: and then a circle at 01:23:806 -
18:23 lolcubes: 01:26:306 (6,7) - this should also be a slider cause it wouldn't really be readable though, it probably would but best to avoid any confusion
18:24 lolcubes: it's a normal after all
18:24 lolcubes: 01:28:052 (3,4) - should have whistles too :p
18:24 lolcubes: but the slider 4 should have it on the start, not end
18:24 lolcubes: sounds a bit weird on end cause there are no notes before it
18:24 SuperMoutarde: hmm i m not a fan of changing the slider start on 01:22:928 i like it better as it is now :/
18:25 lolcubes: well
18:25 lolcubes: its certainly misplaced though
18:25 SuperMoutarde: why?
18:25 SuperMoutarde: it s same as in hard
18:25 SuperMoutarde: it follows music well imo
18:25 lolcubes: 01:23:367 (1) - ?
18:25 lolcubes: you have 4 circles here in hard
18:25 lolcubes: o_o
18:26 lolcubes: wait
18:26 lolcubes: uh
18:26 lolcubes: you have nothing here in normal
18:26 lolcubes: 01:22:928 -
18:26 lolcubes: on this tick
18:26 lolcubes: you have 4 circles on hard
18:26 SuperMoutarde: yeah definitely not like in hard, actually, my bad
18:26 SuperMoutarde: lol
18:26 lolcubes: 01:23:367 - this is a wrong place to start the slider because it creates a rhythm on this tick
18:26 lolcubes: which is nonexistant in the music hehe
18:26 SuperMoutarde: ok
18:26 lolcubes: should be either of the white ticks, preferrably downbeat or the 2nd small one
18:26 lolcubes: if you want to keep it its fine
18:27 lolcubes: just make sure it starts on 01:23:513 - then
18:27 lolcubes: as a "lead in" towards the next section
18:27 SuperMoutarde: but wait 01:23:367 is not nonexistant in the music
18:27 SuperMoutarde: or my ears are betraying me big time
18:27 lolcubes: dont delete the - at the end
18:28 lolcubes: i can't click the link then
18:28 lolcubes: :/
18:28 SuperMoutarde: 01:23:367
18:28 SuperMoutarde: still the same
18:28 lolcubes: not getting a link :P
18:28 SuperMoutarde: wtf
18:28 lolcubes: do you know how to get links?
18:28 SuperMoutarde: 01:23:367 (1) -
18:28 lolcubes: you press ctrl+c on the timeline
18:28 SuperMoutarde: here u go ^^
18:28 lolcubes: and just paste it into the chat
18:28 SuperMoutarde: y i know
18:28 lolcubes: yeah i know i understand what it's trying to follow
18:29 lolcubes: the thing it's trying to follow does indeed start with the slider, however it starts silent and comes into a crescendo until the end
18:29 lolcubes: problem is
18:29 lolcubes: slider start creates a rhythm
18:29 lolcubes: which is in between the main rhythm notes
18:29 lolcubes: and causes it to break
18:29 lolcubes: that's why it's so iffy :|
18:29 SuperMoutarde: i see
18:29 SuperMoutarde: but it sounds weird if i move the start to previous beat though
18:29 lolcubes: move it to 01:23:513 - :p
18:29 lolcubes: it sounds pretty good like this
18:30 SuperMoutarde: yeah that works
18:30 SuperMoutarde: done
18:31 lolcubes: 01:28:052 (3,4) - fixed whistles here?
18:31 SuperMoutarde: yep
18:32 lolcubes: 01:38:583 - you dont have any whistles here in hard, and i like that actually
18:32 lolcubes: these whistles in normal kinda break the consistency of hitsounding you used
18:32 lolcubes: i would suggest to remove them
18:32 lolcubes: 01:41:042 (1,2) - except for these two
18:32 lolcubes: these two are cool
18:33 lolcubes: might want to add them in hard too
18:33 SuperMoutarde: osu is going crazy i have to restart it
18:33 lolcubes: sure
18:33 SuperMoutarde: how can i keep the chat log?
18:33 lolcubes: /savelog
18:37 SuperMoutarde: alright, I changed the whistles in the end as you suggested in normal and hard
18:38 lolcubes: update please
18:38 lolcubes: sorry im kinda demanding hehe
18:38 SuperMoutarde: done
18:38 SuperMoutarde: oh wait
18:39 lolcubes: something broke
18:39 lolcubes: cant enter edit
18:39 lolcubes: lol
18:39 lolcubes: ill restart
18:39 SuperMoutarde: i didnt change the patterns that you said are too hard in normal yet
18:39 SuperMoutarde: i still have to change the patterns in normal for the doubles, actually, forgot to fix that
18:39 lolcubes: okay
18:45 lolcubes: in easy there is only one thing i think you should change
18:45 SuperMoutarde: you think i can keep 01:26:306 (5,6) as it is since it's 1/2?
18:45 SuperMoutarde: shit
18:45 SuperMoutarde: 01:26:306 (5,6) -
18:45 lolcubes: two actually
18:45 lolcubes: its better ot make them a slider too
18:45 SuperMoutarde: k
18:45 lolcubes: since they are a slider in hard
18:45 SuperMoutarde: ahah true ^^
18:45 lolcubes: awkward song choice, not much you can do about it heh
18:47 SuperMoutarde: hehe, not as awkward as my new map though, it has to challenging for it to be fun ^^
18:47 SuperMoutarde: what are the changes for Easy?
18:47 lolcubes: 01:20:294 (5) - new combo here
18:47 lolcubes: 01:28:196 (2) - and this note here
18:47 lolcubes: i am not sure about this one
18:47 lolcubes: the rhythm it creates is constant
18:47 lolcubes: while the music doesn't suggest that
18:47 lolcubes: moving it to 01:28:488 - does sound better but i dunno
18:48 lolcubes: i would recomment that at least
18:48 lolcubes: maybe even add something to 01:28:781 -
18:48 lolcubes: so its less confusing lol
18:48 lolcubes: http://puu.sh/22ZOt/4dd4eef324 like this
18:48 lolcubes: a short slider
18:49 SuperMoutarde: k
18:49 lolcubes: flows better too
18:49 SuperMoutarde: yeah i know what you mean, it was a bit weird
18:50 SuperMoutarde: ok, done
18:51 lolcubes: update again so i can check the whole thing
18:51 SuperMoutarde: done
18:54 lolcubes: actually
18:54 lolcubes: in normal
18:54 lolcubes: 01:26:306 (5) -
18:54 lolcubes: i would actually just suggest 1 circle at 01:26:453 -
18:54 lolcubes: that would make the map much more readable
18:54 lolcubes: and this note on the 1/2 tick isn't that important
18:55 lolcubes: because you couldn't follow the complete melody around this area
18:55 lolcubes: losing a note here wouldn't make a huge difference on how it sounds
18:55 lolcubes: but it would make a huge difference in how it plays
18:55 lolcubes: i.e. more simple
18:55 SuperMoutarde: okey
18:56 SuperMoutarde: woops, accidentally added whistle to a whole slider
18:56 lolcubes: 01:28:196 (4) - this one right?
18:56 lolcubes: was about to say hehe
18:57 SuperMoutarde: yeah this one ^^ just fixed it and reuploaded
18:59 lolcubes: right
18:59 lolcubes: lets rebubble this
18:59 lolcubes: ill forward this to a friend so he checks it and maybe ranks it
18:59 SuperMoutarde: Yay! :)
18:59 SuperMoutarde: thanks a lot!
lolcubes
Okay, so, we did the whole timing again from scratch in the kiai and it should be much more accurate now. The values above are now invalidated pretty much and new timing took place.

To summarize, we also changed a couple of things, we improved readability of objects in normal diff (by using short sliders for sudden notes rather than circles which are kinda hard), we fixed a combo in easy, we fixed snapping issues in hard diff (notes were landing on 1/4 ticks instead of 1/3) and we modified some hitsounds in all diffs pretty much. I suppose a full log isn't necessary because there is over 2 hours of conversation heh.

Rebubbled.

Set the artist to 植松 伸夫 and leave the Romanised title as it is now

[Easy]
00:55:787 (2,3,4,5,6) - This pattern is a little clustery - especially with such huge hit circles. Think you could make it read a little better?
01:15:367 (3,1) - This spacing is way too close

[Hard]
01:15:367 (3) - This would make more sense with your pattern with 1 and 2 if you moved it to here
00:18:131 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Compare new combo use to 01:38:583 (1,2,3,1,1,1,1,1) - I recommend not combo spamming q:

I completely forgot to tell you how to make the vid play until the end.

Use the above .osb in your map, it's a fake storyboard to force a Skip button at the end. Sorry about that.

ok, should I add the romanised name of the artist in tags, then?

Did you play with video or without? There are fireworks at this moment, that's why I spam NC on this, I can change if I have to but I'd prefer to keep it this way if possible changed
Thanks a lot! Uploaded new version with all changed except the new combos at the end of Hard. Please tell me if I really have to change it and I will

edit: removed the NC
