Thanks, it helped. I guess it comes back to 168 bpm at the end too, I'm tryin to figure it out. 102 during the small transition really feels right

Timing, CrimmiStyle!!

I'm also here for the timing fixes:

Waltz is my favorite timing phase :)

First BPM/Offset: 168 BPM/21,635 Offset
Second BPM/Offset: 195 BPM/75,925 Offset (This part is kind of tricky to time but I made sure to be accurate as possible)
Third BPM/Offset: 168 BPM/102,100 Offset

Make sure you check the Second Offset, it be off or not, but try to make sure you listen to it carefully to see if it's off or not.

I hope this helps, and good luck on your map :)

Thanks a lot.

I posted a new version using three different BPMs. I used:

- Intro: 183 bpm / 17,224 Offset
- First part: 168 bpm / 21,635 Offset
- Second part: 204 bpm / 75,825 Offset
- Transition : 183 bpm / 93,684 Offset
- Last part: 168 bpm / 102,100 Offset

and it feels right, even though I'm not 100% sure all offsets are perfect.

Overall:
Hitsounds are incredibly lacking. I know it's a waltz with no real drum track, but still, it feel so empty that I don't want to play it. Maybe add some whistles somewhere. . . When I worked it out, I was naturally putting them on count 2 of every measure, but do whatever sounds best to you.
01:42:101 (1) - End map here.

Hard:
00:31:274 (4) - Adjust this so it's not overlapping on the slider itself (I'm fine if it overlaps a little bit on the slider end, as long as it is spaced correctly.
01:08:420 (9) - Im personally never a big fan of patterns like this. Move (9) so it flows more in the direction that (7) and (8) were going.
01:09:845 (7,8) - This doesn't really go with the music all that much. Change the notes so it fits the music more. Also, add a new combo on (7)
01:13:242 (2) - Curve this slider much more.
01:14:492 (3) - Curve this slider more. Also, shorten it so the end is on the white tick.
01:24:648 (7) - Fix the spacing so it's the same as the previous notes
01:26:413 (1) - Add finish
01:28:398 - It's generally a bad idea to have breaks during kiai time. Either map it fully or end kiai time here.

Normal:
Your sliders. Not bueno. Use 1 sliderpoint so you can use the super helpful slider making tool to make pretty curvy sliders. It helps a lot.
00:45:558 (2) - If you're intending for this to be your normal, thismight be a bit tough.
00:47:701 (2) - ^
01:01:456 - ok break um ok
01:06:986 (2) - Same as earlier
01:09:129 (2) - ^
01:37:618 (5) - Fix the spacing here

Easy:
Tickrate 0.5
Approach Rate -3 or 4 (like srs omg)
00:37:701 (2) - Make this overlap as little as possible
01:33:684 (1,2) - Not the prettiest of sliders.

tl;dr don't put so many points on your sliders and add hitsounds. It'd decently mapped to the music. Also, make normal a bit easier, the diff jump from easy to normal is large.

yay
WALLEP11
I like the easy map but maybe you should replace the end spinner by a bit more of "real" mapping, to feel like the other diff

Thanks for the nice mod, CDFA!

CDFA wrote:

Editor cannot go under 1 for tick rate sadly (I guess 0.333 would ve been ideal. Maybe I should straight up change BPM to a third of what it is and keep a tick rate of 1 to get the desired effect?)

Yep, changed everything as you suggested

I know, I feel the same, but as you said the music being so slow and soft, I don't want to make too much of a "noisy" map. I'm gonna work on it, though, you're definitely right that hitsounds are lacking.

CDFA wrote:

Hmm, I'm gonna consider this but the map is already so short... Especially because I had to shorten it to fit the video after mapping the entire album version which lasts like 3min30 but maybe you're right, it would be more natural if it ended as you suggested...

Thanks again :)

Rinoa
01:14:486 (5) - Move it to 01:14:402, end at 01:15:206
01:15:831 (1) - it's off, it would fit if it was at 01:15:788 You can only get that if you put 1/8, I'm not sure if it is because the timing is not right.
Squall
00:39:849 (5) - Maybe link this with the next circle
00:44:938 - add a circle here
01:14:492 (3) - same problem as in Rinoa difficulty, it is delayed.
01:26:413 (1) - Sounds like it should end at 01:28:141
01:38:274 (1) - off the beat
01:38:602 (2) - not on the beat as well
01:38:929 (3) - not on the beat
01:39:257 (4) - not on the beat
01:39:585 (5) - not on the beat

Overall, I find the tempo of this song very weird and inconsistent to have just one bpm. I listened to it at 50% or 25% speed, many notes didn't quite really fit, but I'm not sure, I'm not familiar with this song.

Thanks for the mod. If you check the timing, you'll see I use three different BPMs throughout the song, I'm not entirely positive that it is 100% correct, some offsets or maybe even BPMs might be a bit off. I'm gonna check precisely the notes you mentionned and see if I can improve from there ^^

it's actually at 01:15:825, you were on the wrong timing section, i have an offset right there on this note to begin the 204 BPM part. You might be correct about my offset being slightly wrong though

Hello~ From in-game M4M request!

If you have any questions about my modding or doubts on how to do something, feel free to send me a forum or in-game PM! I'll gladly help you understand what I meant.

I told you that I'm a slow modder, and I really am! Bu anyways, here we go!

General

Your background size isn't following the Guidelines and the quality is pretty bad too. I tried finding the same background with a better quality, but all the ones I found were even worse! I found this one, though. I recommend you to use it, since the quality is quite better and the size is already correct (I myself resized it).

Also, please don't put it with a name like the actual one "ff8squallrinoa640480dy6", rename it to something like "BG" or "WaltzForTheMoonBG" or anything like that.

I recommend you to use Grid Level 4 (if you're not already using it) and recheck all the spacings... There are some variations here and there... (Like, the spacing is 1.2x but there are some 1.16x or 1.14x)
It took me a long time to check the timing and then, in the end, it was all correct, lol~

  14. You didn't set a Preview Point, this is an unrankable issue. Preview Point is the part of the music used when on the beatmap selecting menu and when the thumbnail of the beatmap is clicked on the Beatmap Listing page. If you don't know how to set one (since you are a new mapper and all), open the box bellow.
How to set a Preview Point
A preview point, as the name says, is the part of the song used as "Preview". You should just set the start of it, since osu! itself will do the rest. To set one, do the following:
    1. Go to the part of the music you think is good to be used as preview (in this case, I would say 01:15:825 is good for that).
    2. Go to Timing> Set Current Position as Preview Point.

You should set a Preview Point on all the difficulties and they should start at the same point!
My own mod
  1. 00:25:928 (1,2,3) - I think these ones could be better arranged. Take a look at these pictures:

    00:25:928 (1) and 00:27:000 (2) like this and 00:28:071 (3) would be on the same spot as 00:25:928 (1)

If you want to do this, I think you'll have to improve the format of 00:28:071 (3) Maybe a little more arched.
  2. 00:30:214 (4) - I think New Combo here would make more sense than on 00:32:357 (1)
  3. 00:34:500 (3) - New Combo here would look good, since there's a lot of time between 00:33:428 (2,3)
  4. 00:38:785 (3) - New Combo here? Since this is an Easy difficult, it's okay to have small combos (such as combos of only 2 notes)
  5. 00:40:928 (5) - ^
  6. 00:42:000 (6,1,2,3,4) - I think you should make this in a way that 00:42:000 (6,2,4) are on the same y position. Same goes for 00:42:357 (1,3) Just like this:
  7. 00:45:214 (1) - I think this don't look so good here, since there's a lot of time between 00:43:423 (4,1) and 00:45:214 (1) is too close (in terms of positioning) to 00:43:423 (4) I don't think this "anti-jump" here is necessary.
  8. 01:11:637 (4,5) - I would get them on the same y position.
  9. 01:15:826 (1,2,3,4) - If you get these notes in a way that 01:15:826 (1,3) would be on the y middle line (y axis) and 01:16:707 (2,4) on the x one (x axis) would look much much better, in my opinion. Take a look at this:

If you want, I already arranged them in a way that the spacing wasn't changed, so here's a code.

    256,64,75825,5,4,0:0:0
    128,192,76707,1,4,0:0:0
    256,320,77589,1,4,0:0:0
    384,192,78472,1,4,0:0:0
  10. 01:22:883 (1,2,3,4) - Same thing as previous item, I would get these notes on the x-y axes.
Rinoa

Issues found by using AiMod
  1. 00:39:851 (10) - Unsnapped note.
  2. No Preview Point, set the same one for Delphie and Squall
My own Mod
  1. There's no Kiai Time on this difficult (unrankable issue). The Kiai Time should be the same on all difficulties, so make sure it's the same on Delphie and Squall
  2. 00:18:533 (3) - Get this to x:356 y:188 so that it will have the right spacing (that, in this case, is 1.2x) with 00:19:189 (4)
  3. 00:21:643 (1) - I would start this "part of the song" (since there's a lot of time between 00:20:500 (7,1) - ) on the other side of the map since the previous part ends in a close spot 00:20:500 (7) See what I'm talking about here:
  4. 00:23:785 (1,2) - Get them on the same y position.
  5. 00:30:214 (4,5) - Check spacing.
  6. 00:33:785 (8,9) - Get them on the same y position to make a nice triangle 00:33:428 (7,8,9)?
  7. 00:35:214 (2,3) - Same as previous item. Get them on same y positino to make a nice triangle 00:35:214 (2,3,4)?
  8. 00:36:285 (4,5) - Get them on same y position just for better look? xD
  9. 00:38:785 (8) - I really recommend you to add New Combo here instead of on 00:40:928 (1)
  10. If doing above item, 00:43:071 (9) New Combo here.
  11. 00:46:285 (3,4,1) - Triangle by getting 00:46:285 (3,4) on the same y position?
  12. 00:48:785 (4) - Move this to x:228 y:144 so that 00:47:357 (1,2,3,4) make a straight line.
  13. 00:50:571 (3,5) - This overlap doesn't look good. Also, check spacing on 00:50:571 (3,4)
  14. 00:53:071 (7,1,2) - Again, triangle shape by aligning 00:53:428 (1,2)?
  15. 01:08:785 (1,2,3) - Maybe move them all along to x:360 y:84 and then move 01:09:857 (3) to x:152 y:84 so we get a nice symmetry? If doing so, please don't forget to check the spacing with the next notes.
  16. 01:11:464 (2,3) - Check spacing.
  17. 01:12:000 (3,4) - Why is the spacing between them is different than between 01:13:216 (4,5)? The time between them is the same...
Squall

Squall was the best difficult, in my opinion~

That's all! Good luck with your map!

A funny moment in FF8, is such a nice game, I played this game 3 months ago and the game/OST is awesome

General
  1. The correct source is "Final Fantasy VIII" if you can see in Wikipedia
  2. Add more tags like "squaresoft, playstation, psx", etc.
  3. Well timing is off in my opinion, you should to ask someone to check
  4. This map doesn't have Preview time, in my opinion here in 00:45:214 looks nice
  5. I don't get why the difficulties have the same name from the characters, my suggestion is rename each one "Easy,Normal and Hard"
Delphie

-- Delphie? I've heard Selphie in the game
    - 00:33:428 (1) - I really prefer to unstack this note to avoid the confusion for newbies players
    - 00:45:214 (3,1) - More spacing between these objects please
    - 01:12:000 (5) - The timing has changed but the slider is unsnapped, this should be end in 01:12:810

*phew* Here you are, a fresh mod!~

If you want a recheck later, you can just call me by PM and I'll come back here!

I'm cheering for you! *shoots start*

That's all! Good luck with your map!
Thanks for the awesome mod, so much things, both basic mistakes and good design advice! :)

I m using your background now, it's definitely better, thanks for that!

I did pretty much all you said I should do. I ll make sure to use the AIMod to get all those notes snapped after i am 100% positive i wont change my timing again. I didn't know how to chose the preview so thanks for this too.

yay! thanks again! and OMG you did shoot a star to my map too <3 I will have to do some special thanks at the end of the map or something if it gets ranked one day and i will mention you there :)

  • - 00:51:642 (5) - nazi* I suggest to move this slider in another place because is making a overlap with (3)
    - 01:37:627 (5) - New combo if you follow the music
    - 01:53:885 (8) - Delete this slider because you finish the diff here
Squall
  • - 00:26:523 (2) - Error spacing here?
Map needs to work but for now is fine, good luck
xD Selphie indeed, ahah now that you mention it "Delphie" sounds so wrong ^^ You may be right about getting rid of those useless custom diff name that introduce more confusion (and funny mistakes xD) than anything

I also used all the other advice you gave me so thanks a lot for the mod :)

EDIT: for the timing on Selphie diff, I thought it was unnecessary to use the first offset/bpm section in the Selphie map because I chose to not map the intro in this difficulty anyway, so that would be kind of useless but if it is required that all diff have the exact same timing sections I'll change it for sure

Hey there, I said I'd mod this map and I've looked through all three difficulties, and I can't see anything too out of place apart from the general flow of the map. I have no experience with making maps though, but I felt that the flow of the maps was occasionally a bit awkward. I think that was mainly because the circles size is large on all three difficulties, if I might make a suggestion, I'd say reduce the circle size on the Squall difficulty.

I'm sorry I couldn't actually mod your map due to my inexperience, but it looks like you've got a decent set of mods so far, so good luck!

00:30:214 (1) - Yea too close mate just click this 00:30:214 (1,2,3,4) - then CTRL+J
00:35:571 (2) - same kind of problem as 00:27:000 (2) -

Use 1.5x DS more pls. Too much overlap with 1.2. Don't be scared to do this because there's still barely any room between the two notes. But enough that it looks so much better. Most of this whole diff needs this to be fixed. It will help you with the blankets as well. It'll look better.

Well, you can't actually "find" one.

If you want to use someone else's skin (even if it's only a part of the skin), you should ask that person first if it's okay to use it on your map. Some options for your are:

1. You can make your own skin. Please visit this topic to learn more about how to make skins.
2. You can ask specific people to make a custom skin for you. Just go around osu! community and search for people that are avaible to do so. Check their userpage, signatures, already ranked beatmaps that have skins, etc.
3. You can go into this forum and, if you find a skin/part of a skin you like and that combines with your beatmap, ask the person who made it if you can use it on your beatmap
That's basically it! If you ever need help making/applying a skin, just send me a PM!

EDIT: Please, also add an advise on the Beatmap's description telling people to redownload the beatmap if they had downloaded it before the date of the difficult name change. (Delphie  Selphie)

Mod, hmm unique songs~ Its time to hear something freshly new :P

[General]
  1. I think you should uncheck letterbox during breaks since you have no breaks. Make sure if you do this to 1 diff you do it to the others diff too for consistency.
  2. Your diff names are confusing, at the very least you should translate your diff name into the standard diff name like : Easy,Normal,Hard etc. make sure you put this in creator words, the little box thingy where you tell the world about your map.
[Selphie]

You need to increase OD+1 the high bpm need to match harshness of map and OD+1 will help, and increase AR by 1 if you want to.

  1. 00:33:654 - You should add a note here, the pause between note 3 and note 4 feel really off especially when there is clearly beats / music in this part. if you want easier rhythm you should make 00:33:297 (3) - a slider.
  2. 00:57:225 - ^ same thing above.
  3. 01:01:155 (1) - New combo in wrong spot imo, it also break your new combo pattern because you didn't add a new combo here : 00:42:940 (3) - If you remove it I have the place you can put new combo in next suggestion.
  4. 01:02:226 (1) - It feels more appropriate if you add new combo here, since this is where there is a change in music and it will be consistent with your previous pattern.
  5. 01:11:868 (3) - Finish missing here, why did you not add it here? There is a big bang here and its similar to the other places you put finishes, If you want you can lower the volume of this finish since its sound a bit softer here.
  6. 01:29:131 (1) - My personal taste, but whistle to the start of this does not sound bad, maybe you should add it. if you add it there make sure you add it to the start of 01:30:014 (2) - too
  7. 01:50:533 (4) - Similar to the combo's above you should add new combo here, generally combo's shouldn't be over 6 in this diff and you didn't put them that way.
  8. 01:30:896 (1) - Spinner end too early imo, move spinner end 1 tick forward. Since there is a sudden silence in music you should add a inherited timing point and put volume to 5%.
Rhythm is good and consistent, in this diff :>
[Rinoa]

Likewise in Selphie diff you should increase OD+1 because of the harshness of the bpm.

  1. 00:20:591 (5) - New combo here, It fits really even though its short. It fits to the mood of the song, there even a change of tone.
  2. 00:18:132 (1) - Decrease the volume of this note a little? sound it a bit loud to me
  3. 00:20:591 (5) - Spacing error, move this up more to fix, make sure if you fix this these two notes : 00:21:082 (6,7) - line up with note 5 or it'll look really bad.
  4. 00:29:011 (1) - Remove new combo here, since there is really no need, if you want to keep it though you need to add it 00:34:368 (4) - you should really fix it using either ways I told you above.
  5. 00:36:154 (2) - Placement is messy here, and what I mean by messy is stacking, you need to put this note's position the same as 00:34:368 (4) - it'll be better imo.
  6. 00:27:940 (2) - Another big spacing error :< please check your spacing's more carefully. usually I don't notice these things off the bat but wooooh this one is pretty big, Oh and you should still make this note blanket 00:26:868 (1) - slider end.
  7. 00:30:082 (3) - This slider looks extremely ugly, it freaks me out. make sure you fix the shape and move it up a little bit o.o it feels cramped up with the other notes.
  8. 00:35:440 (1) - Oh I notice another big spacing error here, make sure you fix it and change the spacing of other notes correctly.
  9. 00:41:690 - Rhythm wise, it would be a good idea to add a note here. there is a clearly a beat here and what a perfect place to put it too! it won't affect movement :P
  10. 00:42:761 - If you do the above, For consistency you should add a note here as well.
00:41:511 (4) - and I just noticed if you do the above you should add new combo, either way you adding a new combo here won't hurt.
  11. 00:38:297 (6,7) - You should move this to the left to fix spacing for the upcoming note, Oh and I noticed note 7 doesn't line up with note 6 so I think you should do that + move to the left.
  12. 01:05:975 (1) - Remove new combo, reason already mentioned above.
  13. 00:46:154 (1) - Oh snaps another noticeable spacing error D: you reaallllllllyyy need to check spacing in this diff because it seems pretty messed and makes it look like you didn't use distance snap.
  14. 01:26:337 (6,7) - ^
    01:27:367 (2,3,4) - ^
    01:35:630 (2) - ^
This DIFF need TOTAL remap, Your placement is really bad, notes are squished together and overall map looks messy, tbh I think you just put notes down and only worry about rhythm. There are many spacing errors, Probably more that I missed. Please at the very least check spacing on this map, It look pretty incosistent.
[Squall]

Increase AR+1 for this diff, because of high bpm basically.

  1. 00:20:591 (9) - Similar to the other diffs, Add new combo here.
  2. 01:10:082 (2) - To be consistent here add a new combo :>
  3. 01:18:249 (4) - ^
  4. 01:25:308 (4) - ^
00:41:511 (7) - Meh new combo here as well really,
Overall your best diff, but placement could still be improved, rhythm is fine.

  8. 01:30:896 (1) - Spinner end too early imo, move spinner end 1 tick forward. Since there is a sudden silence in music you should add a inherited timing point and put volume to 5%. I dont think it ends too early but agreed to lower volume on the hitsound, done
  9. Rhythm is good and consistent, in this diff :> Ty^^
[Rinoa]

Likewise in Selphie diff you should increase OD+1 because of the harshness of the bpm. Mods keep telling me to change it one way or another, I'll see what I do But I'm not sure I'll be changing that one

  1. 00:20:591 (5) - New combo here, It fits really even though its short. It fits to the mood of the song, there even a change of tone.Well you're the second one to mention that so I guess I'm gonna have to do it even though I really think one combo fo the whole intro feels right
  2. 00:18:132 (1) - Decrease the volume of this note a little? sound it a bit loud to me Yeah, the whole intro, even, now that you mention it. I reduced to 40%
  3. 00:20:591 (5) - Spacing error, move this up more to fix, make sure if you fix this these two notes : 00:21:082 (6,7) - line up with note 5 or it'll look really bad.fixed
  4. 00:29:011 (1) - Remove new combo here, since there is really no need, if you want to keep it though you need to add it 00:34:368 (4) - you should really fix it using either ways I told you above.Agreed I had done it first then a mod told me to change but this feels better, back to this
  5. 00:36:154 (2) - Placement is messy here, and what I mean by messy is stacking, you need to put this note's position the same as 00:34:368 (4) - it'll be better imo. fixed
  6. 00:27:940 (2) - Another big spacing error :< please check your spacing's more carefully. usually I don't notice these things off the bat but wooooh this one is pretty big fixed, i did full recheck of the DS
Oh and you should still make this note blanket 00:26:868 (1) - slider end.fixed
  7. 00:30:082 (3) - This slider looks extremely ugly, it freaks me out. make sure you fix the shape and move it up a little bit o.o it feels cramped up with the other notes. lol's but you're right though, I did something new which looks much better
  8. 00:35:440 (1) - Oh I notice another big spacing error here, make sure you fix it and change the spacing of other notes correctly. fixed
  9. 00:41:690 - Rhythm wise, it would be a good idea to add a note here. there is a clearly a beat here and what a perfect place to put it too! it won't affect movement :P Well there's obviously a note here but I thought adding it might be a bit too hard for normal diff? I will think about this, not adding yet
  10. 00:42:761 - If you do the above, For consistency you should add a note here as well.^
00:41:511 (4) - and I just noticed if you do the above you should add new combo, either way you adding a new combo here won't hurt. I think it's fine like it is
  11. 00:38:297 (6,7) - You should move this to the left to fix spacing for the upcoming note, Oh and I noticed note 7 doesn't line up with note 6 so I think you should do that + move to the left. fixed

hi
found issues. you must fix those.

[General]
  1. has three mp3 files. you must remove two.
  2. remove "hitcircleselect.png". its image does not need on beatmap.
  3. You must add "approachcircle.png". "hitcircle.png", "hitcircleoverlay.png" and "approachcircle.png" should be set.

10. Offset: 103,036ms BPM: 168.00

Really weird timing >_> Some of it I'm still not really sure on, but this got much better accuracy for the majority of the map.

Well I was wondering if I should add one offset, but actually it was more than this! :) Thank you so much for this, it does feel much more accurate now! I'm fixing all diff with this and will upload new version. Thanks again!

edit: done, new version is uploaded

You don't need a custom reversearrow. The reason the circle parts are insisted upon is that having some but not all would clash pretty badly with some skins. Same thing goes for HP bar elements if you ever use custom ones. Those things are in the rules because it's the most visible place to put things like this that are so easy to overlook.

Note: I started hitsound modding, but decided it'd take a while and isn't worth including unless it's asked for. If you want to talk hitsounds, PM me on forum or ingame and if I have time, I'll help out. What you have now is plenty serviceable though.

Same goes for timing. It's late. I don't have the attention span to fine-tune timing. I could maybe help on a weekend when I'm well-rested though. :P

[General]
The video offset is about a second too early. Change it to 2101ms. It'll make the video start a bit after the song but it also makes the dance coincide with the music like it does in the game. Watch Squall's leg at 01:16:767 to see what I mean.

Not a big fan of the combobursts. The art styles on the pics really clash with the bg pic and video. I actually think skinning out the combobursts looks pretty nice on here, because you still get the stars and light flash. If you want to try it, here's a transparent 1x1 png to use: http://puu.sh/1Rm6y

Think you could find an mp3 with a bit more fadeout? It sounds kind of abrupt here, when this is the kind of song/video pair that's asking for a good fadeout. If you want, maybe even quieten the part of the mp3 a little bit here since it's after the dance and they're standing outside. It would be a nice touch.

[Easy]
01:16:767 (1) - Kiai section - I know it's Easy but this part needs more motion. This is the big dance. This is where Squall gets his shit together and tears up the dance floor. Try using sliders for this whole kiai section.

[Normal]
01:16:767 (1) - Kiai section - same as in Easy. I'd even recommend increasing the slider velocity some in this difficulty, maybe to 1.25 or so. You can do this by placing inherited (green) sections with the slider speed change on the same offsets as the red ones that have kiai markers. This will give it more feeling without pushing the challenge too much.

01:43:036 (1) - Nothing wrong here, but it seems a bit emphasized for the outro. Maybe move some sliders closer to the edges of the screen.

[Hard]
01:09:009 (2,3,4) - Try making these into a short slider that bounces back on 3. Makes it feel a little "quieter". Just simple like this will do:

01:16:767 (1) - Kiai section - same as in Normal (including slider speed boost). Maybe put a bit of a jump between some sliders (I can illustrate this in more detail if you'd like).

01:28:825 (1,2,3) - Even though the spacing is "correct", this looks more ilke a spacing error while playing than a deliberate notice of a timing change. Change 1-2 to a slider to cover this up; this should also make it easier for the player to notice 3's approach circle.

[ok that's enough for now]
I've been typing this post off and on for like two hours. It doesn't help that I tend to write paragraphs in my mod posts... Maybe I should post what's here and let you sort it out. Let me know if anything doesn't make sense or if you need help doing anything I suggested!

I just changed timing after Garven's post who made the timing much more refined that it was (with three more offsets and BPMs). If you've been playing on the latest version and you think you can still help improve timing, I will be very grateful

Timing check.

Stuff like 00:33:295 (5,6,7) - sounds a bit off, but it's not the timing fault. Just the instruments sometimes don't follow the metronome well. Right timing later, for example, at 00:35:616 (1,2,3,4) - proofs it.
This doesn't need to be changed since the timing is quite static here.

Doubles in kiai like 01:17:208 (2,3) - are a bit early placed. Well, that's again not a timing fault because stuff earlier and later sound fine. Look at 01:22:943 (1) - 01:20:296 (2) - 01:18:531 (4) - they all are fine. Still, all these doubles sound better if placed 1/6 later. I mean, 01:17:208 (2,3) - 01:18:972 (5,6) - 01:24:266 (2,3) - should be probably moved 1/6 forward. Still, the most precise fix for me is to move first note 1/6 later and second note 1/12 later, but that is kinda too much... 1/6 everywhere could be enough. Ask someone else about these doubles for a double-check.

Also, while I'm here, I have to say that 01:28:825 (1,2,3) - is too hard to read. Replace last two circles with a single slider.
You should add more sliders generally. As well as here: 01:30:870 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,1,1,1) -
Timing changes are unexpectable, so placing sliders to make it clear is a good idea.

Also this one: 01:31:417 (3) - should probably be moved 1/12 earlier... Timing is fine again because next note is on-spot, but this one is a bit off.

Overall: timing is perfect, but some notes in the music do not follow the metronome good enough. It can be fixed by finding proper beat snapping, like moving 1/12 later or earlier, but that is sometimes not a good solution. 1/12 snapped notes are hard to play, so using a static beat snapping is always better. Still, there are some ways to make the timing good and not to hurt the gameplay. You may try it, for example here:
01:30:870 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - Here, I did suggest to move first (3) note 1/12 earlier. Also I said that it's a good idea to add sliders. So, if you don't want to make gameplay harder and want to still follow the music perfectly, you can place tricky notes on slider ends. Player doesn't need to press anything on slider ends, so that doesn't hurt gameplay. Try this here:

Ask someone else about these doubles for a double-check. I had originally snapped these double using 1/3 snap divisor, so basically placing them 1/6 later as you suggest, because a lot of notes are placed on 1/3 beats during this moment, but the music sheet says they should be on 1/2 beats so I changed it. Gonna do more testing with this :/

Thanks a lot for this. What is the best way to handle those notes that are placed 1/12 or so too early/late, though? Is it ok, from a rankability point of view, to place notes on 1/12 beats? Or is is better to always add more timing sections, even if it's only for a couple notes, so that notes are snapped on 1/4 or 1/3?

For instance, 00:34:545 (1,2,3) could use a timing section, maybe? Or is it better to place them on 1/12 beats.

Thanks for your help! Gonna be using them sliders, thanks for the tip

Actually, placing few notes on a 1/12 and adding another red lines for the sake of 1/4 is the same.
As I already said, the best way for such tricky notes is to cover them by sliders, that makes it more readable. Extra timing sections are not needed, timing is perfect.

Here's what I ended up doing for now:

Notes that are a bit off during 168bpm section: no change, as you suggested, and I feel like this part is playable without problem

Doubles in kiai time: I have the feeling they aren't all the same :/
01:22:502 (5,6) - seem correct on 1/2 beats
01:18:972 (5,6) - are like both 1/12 beats late or smth close
but 01:17:208 (2,3) - have more delay (i.e. what you indicated, around 1/6 early for first and 1/12 for second)
So for now I let all of them snapped on 1/4, to leave it playable. Fixing with sliders to "hide" the delays wouldn't really fit for there so I'm not sure what I should do :/

01:28:825 (1,2,3) I added sliders for easier play on the rythm changes

01:31:417 (3) should definitely be smth like 1/12 earlier but I feel like 01:31:012 (2) as well as 01:31:870 (2) are a bit off too. Maybe this timing section is not perfect? Anyway I changed to what you suggested with the sliders

Thanks for helping!

Easy

00:42:938 (3) - NC remove next
01:22:061 (3) - Not visible enough, due to the preview slider overlapping
01:51:250 (3) - Remove Finish add on next element

Normal

00:39:723 (1,2) - Too hard for beginners, try something different
00:55:259 (3) - Two repeats might confuse new players, make just one and add a circle after
01:11:866 (5,6) - Like 00:39:723
01:17:208 (2,3,5,6) - Dont make them in an Easy or Normal diff, they are too sudden and not readable and also too hard for players which just starded osu
01:22:502 (4,5,2,3,6,7,3,4) - ^

01:21:472 - Add circle, to make a better transition to the next slider
01:23:384 (1) - Also confuses newbies, since its on a 1/2 tick, move it to preview white tick and make it longer up to the next white tick

01:29:070 (1) - Remove NC
01:41:040 (5,6,7) - This pattern doesnt work out, first you can see the slider good, the end, since there are hitbursts which might hide the repeat arrow but there is none atm but still, the second is the one thing i already said about the 2 circles. The pattern doesnt work out how it is now, the slider should be fully visible
01:51:250 (1) - Remove NC add on next element
01:51:250 (1) - Add finish instead of the preview one, delete the finish on 01:50:893 (5) -

Hard

00:23:652 (1,1) - Remove NC
00:34:366 (9) - Unstack them to give better playability and flow
00:59:009 (9) - NC remove next
01:00:795 (6) - NC
01:28:090 (5,6) - This is not visible, move them up above the circles before
01:31:012 (2) - Delete this circle

01:30:870 (1) - Remove NC
01:31:441 (2,1,2) - This doesnt sound right, its not placed well on the timeline and doesnt go to the music maybe delete these 01:31:441 (2,1,2,3,1) - and add a spinner instead since the violin goes, make the spinner end at 01:32:571 -
01:39:237 (1,1,1,1,1) - Too many NC, reduce them
01:44:107 (1,1) - Remove NC

00:18:139 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - please on that part make the sound lower to louder... its make good sound Nice idea, did crescendo from 15 to 25

00:42:581 (6) - make like this? ^

00:46:152 (1) - louder part ^
00:45:438 (4) - the number note and the reserve note on slider add whistle? the no symbol note dont use anything sounds a bit weird, might add later, there were some whisles there before, but that was a bit too much so I removed
01:05:438 (6) - new combo ok

M4M

Easy

00:42:938 (3) - NC remove next this would look better graphically but wrong with the music, so hesitation. Might change later
01:22:061 (3) - Not visible enough, due to the preview slider overlapping fixed
01:51:250 (3) - Remove Finish add on next element removed finish, added whistle instead, didnt add finish on next element

Normal

00:39:723 (1,2) - Too hard for beginners, try something different No it's ok, complete beginners can play the easy map and it isn't that hard
00:55:259 (3) - Two repeats might confuse new players, make just one and add a circle after ok
01:11:866 (5,6) - Like 00:39:723 it's ok, all the "fast" notes are with slider repeats, really it's not that hard
01:17:208 (2,3,5,6) - Dont make them in an Easy or Normal diff, they are too sudden and not readable and also too hard for players which just starded osu I thought about this, these arent in easy diff, and I think it's ok for normal. Will change for sliders if more people mention but it would feel much less good with the music
01:22:502 (4,5,2,3,6,7,3,4) - ^ ^
01:21:472 - Add circle, to make a better transition to the next slider no, wouldnt go well with music
01:23:384 (1) - Also confuses newbies, since its on a 1/2 tick, move it to preview white tick and make it longer up to the next white tick nope, same, would not fit music well
01:29:070 (1) - Remove NC changed
01:41:040 (5,6,7) - This pattern doesnt work out, first you can see the slider good, the end, since there are hitbursts which might hide the repeat arrow but there is none atm but still, the second is the one thing i already said about the 2 circles. The pattern doesnt work out how it is now, the slider should be fully visible Did something easier
01:51:250 (1) - Remove NC add on next element hmm, no why
01:51:250 (1) - Add finish instead of the preview one, delete the finish on 01:50:893 (5) Same as normal, removed finish, added whisle, didn't add finish on next

Hard

00:23:652 (1,1) - Remove NC agreed, i had done that, then a mod told to add NC here but feels much better like this
00:34:366 (9) - Unstack them to give better playability and flowchanged a bit
00:59:009 (9) - NC remove next hmm no
01:00:795 (6) - NC ok
01:28:090 (5,6) - This is not visible, move them up above the circles before This is intentional, will remove if considered unrankable by MAT/BAT but I like it this way
01:31:012 (2) - Delete this circle I'm working on changing this part atm, it's the trickiest of the song rythm-wise, but there will be something there anyway, currently the beginning of a slider ^^
01:30:870 (1) - Remove NC no it's the fireworks in the background, need colors xD, and also music change at this moment
01:31:441 (2,1,2) - This doesnt sound right, its not placed well on the timeline and doesnt go to the music maybe delete these 01:31:441 (2,1,2,3,1) - and add a spinner instead since the violin goes, make the spinner end at 01:32:571 - Same as previous, it's the tricky part, notes are well placed on timeline, I guess you didnt notice the bpm changes explaining the weird feeling, but the spinner might be the solution eventually. That's what I had done first... Not decided just yet for this
01:39:237 (1,1,1,1,1) - Too many NC, reduce them Did you get file without video? It's the fireworks in the BG! Need colours
01:44:107 (1,1) - Remove NC done

GL and don't bug again, i never forgot someone so far, and i'm no machine ;w; Thank you veru much for modding :)

Thanks for modding ^^

01:31:417 (3) should definitely be smth like 1/12 earlier but I feel like 01:31:012 (2) as well as 01:31:870 (2) are a bit off too. Maybe this timing section is not perfect? Anyway I changed to what you suggested with the sliders
Timing is fine since 01:30:870 (1) - and 01:31:727 (1) - sound on-spot. It's just the song being untimeable and non-rhythmic... You can do nothing about it, in any way it would be poorly playable.

Would you consider this unrankable issue? If so, maybe give up on this hard part and add spinner instead like I had done in the first place? (which would be a shame, plz don't answer yes, lol)
