The new update seems to have fixed the problem. Although it's still problematic with this song:

the BG layer should be hidden during SB, but its not

I have observed some weird issues with moving sprites. There are probably other issues still left.

Why not just back former specifications that nothing issue?

Do not make a new taiko bg template. Instead wait until i hard-code "taiko bg" into osu!, then fix all the created ones (by removing them).

Hopefully by hard code you mean, make it a skin object and thus skinnable. because there's no sense forcing all songs of a particular gamemode to use the same background, at least in my opinion. you should at least give members of the taiko community a way to stylize their maps as creatively as other gamemodes. (Same for osu, mania, when someone wants to make a mania background. Let us create one that scales properly.

I mean coding the text into the game, and allowing an offset of the standard background. Wrong thread, though.

this is still borked but not sure if you have put out the "next bulid"
the bg is hidden but objects are still not clipping out as they should.

Likely due to rotations. This may be fixed in the future, but should affect a minimal number of maps for now. Re-resolving.

I thought that the problem was just with widescreen (due to the map having a couple of SB elements), but it seems that the background gets fit to height in 4:3 as well. This is a special case (since the background should've been landscape instead of portrait), but it fit to width in old versions and it doesn't make sense to have it look nice for song select/loading and then switch to something else! :p

There are two problems in this map.

1. The images in chapter 2 won't be loaded at first attempt.

2. The screenshot explains itself. (Chapter 3)

2. looks like an error with the storyboard itself, not osu!. 1. seems like a separate issue, with storyboard not loading instead of not aligning right.

No, the map has a lots of wide scrolling images but that is the only one not cutted.

1. Images are not always accurately cropped (sometimes a few pixels off). Moving background looks "shaking" at the border. This happens in 4:3 resolutions too.

2. Some images are not properly cropped. Rotated images are not cropped.

u need to make new thread and put this video in. i think noone will look over it in "resolved" thread. this bug with flashing borders confirmed by many ppl already, and lasts from the first day update with widescreen bg support.

I read resolved threads. I am still aware of these issues.

Not sure if we're still posting examples but two of my maps, http://osu.ppy.sh/s/41162 and http://osu.ppy.sh/s/52439 are busted.


EDIT: Ranking screens for custom skins are busted as well, but this is a problem on my part I'd say. Gotta update.
