i have not tried them since i try to get away from nicotine,not get it again.
Stopping suddenly like that is very difficult.
At least with patches/gum you can get rid of that urge to smoke without the smoke.
You can eventually lessen the dosage until the urge disappears.

I know a guy who used to drink like 6-7 Lucozade bottles a day in order to at least cope with the urge to smoke while he was quitting. I asked why Lucozade and he said because it's his favourite drink.

My previous problem/addiction was alleviated and eliminated by womanizing, bigotry, and getting into random fights and beating people up. Granted it brought up more problems and made me hate myself but it sure as shit worked and is an option.

my friend bought me a packet.

If you stop trying to smoke you can probably take it 3 months without any help like plasters and such. i did it that way but it didnt work uh.
I can just tell you that quitting smoking without any helpful things is a really harsh and direct way.

Anyway, tips for stopping, hmm.... one good thing to do is get an asshole friend(everyone has one) to follow you around for a while and smoke in front of you while stopping you from having any, shouldn't be a problem if he's actually an asshole.
