Actually, wasn't it ZUN's aim to make Ten Desires an easier game them his previous ones? I'm not entirely certain, but I do recall reading that somewhere. Not entirely sure, but I do concur; the game was great. The new cast is pretty cool imo. My favorites have to be Seiga and Tojiko. Yeah, but still, 'not sure about it being harder. It seems as if it's on the same level and/or lower. I can have the right to compare since i've played all of the games except for Shoot the Bullet //sob//. EoSD is still forever going to feel like the easiest game to me, though.

On a side note, Have any tips for me on playing using Suwako in Hisoutensoku? I've played as her before but I'm absolutely horrible at it. 'Not completely sure of good moves to use in a row with her ((including spellcards.)) Oh.. that reminds me, I'm decent with Sanae, too. I always halfass playing her, though.

Still waiting for a match. Lol. XD Wanted to actually main Suwako a while ago but can't get used to her crouch being her stand and her normal stance as crouch. Hahaha! Still love her cuteness though. I mained Sakuya but I'm just getting used to it so I'm still kinda nyeh. Still waiting to see if anyone would like a match! :)

New engine, new graphics, new gameplay and probably higher system requirements because it looks like it'll be in HD (720p)

I never really got into the spin-offs of Touhou haha. I've played a few times but that was it.

Really useless but...it fits with this topic, i suppose.
I tried to survive against the "GENGETSU RAPE TIME" phase in LLS's Extra. (if you don't know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0FkEZXVqjk&feature=plcp )

It's obviously, a TRUE EPIC FAIL.

I heard that Twilight Frontier is going to release Hopeless Masquerade in Comiket 83. However he did not give any more specific details or whether the release is going to be a trial version or a full version. :/

The version released dec 31 at comiket 83 will be a demo. (some people said the text at the end of the trailer mentions it's a demonstration version)


About the trailer: I really like what I see, seems like there's no free flying around the screen, instead there's a flight height and you can jump up and jump down but pulled back to flight height by 'gravitation'.
Basically it kinda works like if it was ground based only now you can jump under attacks not just over them.
At least that's my first impression from the trailer.

btw U2 Akiyama and the person who plays the violin still delivers as usual.

Well to be fair it's not really a normal touhou fightan right now (have to see for myself how graze and special attacks works when game is out), this game looks completely different compared to IaMP/SWR/Soku.

However it does look exciting, i love the wall and ground bounce combos. While i would have preferred a normal touhou fightan, i'm OK with this for now. We'll have to see when the demo is released at next comiket :)

Mainly, yeah. I'm too used to the IaMP/soku systems where everything is based on the ground. They also changed the spirit system which was the reason why I liked these two fighters much more than any other.

The game looks pretty, but, from that gameplay trailer, I can't honestly see it being very fun. I could be wrong, but it seems like the focus on flying isn't executed very well in a way that could cause the game to become bland and repetitive very quickly.

My #2 best game ever (I have TH6 - TH13 (some of these have English Patch)) (#1 is osu!) , sometimes too much bullets on screen slow down my PC

But that usually actually helps you play better :p

It's a good thing the game records how long (or how much of the game was played) running below normal fps.

I didn't expect the sprites to be this tall, looks actually pretty. I really liked SWR/Hisouten battle system though, and this looks nothing like that...

Touhou is epic! I am just a beginner if it comes to Touhou, but I'm working hard to be a good Touhou player!
I only have Touhou 6 now... I wish I could download Touhou 13, but MediaFire is restricted by Parental Controls ;__;

i guess Flandre is already too strong.
and if she appear to Hisotensoku, there wll be almost all girls from EoSD (except Rumia and Koakuma) owo so imo it makes sense

But Cirno is the strongest :3

Flandre is quite tough. I can remember my first fight against her... it didn't go well. :?

My favourite touhou is still 8. I can't explain why. I like it. And I like it alot :)

Sayuri, the singer of the group, has had some health problems.

Silver Forest quit mid may this year didn't they? Sad story :(

I'm unsure... I really like Unlucky Morpheus (with Fuki - I know there are Fuki haters out there, but... I don't care :D).
Morrigan is nice. As is EastNewSound....

I don't think I have a "favourite" Touhou related band/group/circle ... It's hard to label them :3

Also to add in on what i said before, just because tasofro put in popular characters doesn't mean they will be in there 100%, just a chance :P

So. I'm going through TH8 & I just noticed I find easy too easy (as in no bombs no deaths), even clearing Hourai Elixir from time to time.... But I don't want to move on to normal :(

Touhou needs more doujin rhythm games. I only know of one (it's like Rhythm Heaven but I forget the name of it :( ). At least there are plenty of Touhou songs in osu!

Finished all windows games on easy modo (ee? easy modo kyahahahaha), next goal is to finish them all on normal, though I dont play the games as often as I should. My favourite character is Patchouli, especially glasses Patchouli. My favourite circles are probably Demetori, TAMusic, Floating Cloud, and ENS. I also loved Secret Messenger's gensou no kyoukai ~ in the garden of phantasmagoria, for making perfect touhou x yuki kaijura crossovers (mostly kara no kyoukai, but theres a few madoka ones in there too http://youtu.be/H5RRJmiCF60 for example). My favourite boss is yuyuko, as her spellcards are visually stunning, synced perfectly to the music (esp dat first nonspell), quite difficult (in my opinion), and ressurection butterfly is intense.

I finished th7 on hard yesterday, I only had to use 3 continues... and slowdown... but I still feel accomplished :D.

Last time i attempted to Remilia I failed on her final spellcard on normal. Then I tried again lost 2 lives to Cirno, nope.jpg, and left it for another time.

I started playing osu! because of touhou music :)
I 1CC'ed most games on normal, as well as EoSD, PCB, IN, PoFV, MoF, and TD on hard.
For Extra Bosses I managed to clear Flandre, Ran, Mokou, Suwako, Koishi, and Mamizou.

Any tips for Nue? I somehow find UFO's extra stage hardest although its said to be one of the easier ones. :o

Shinki has about a tenth of the chance of coming back as Mima does. And that's already minuscule. It's not something I would hope that much about.

But speaking of Hopeless Masquerade, I am looking forward to the changes they make. It looks completely brand new, which will be lots of fun. AndIhopeNitorigetsinthegametoosinceshewassupposedtobeinsoku.

@Nue Kick: Watched the exact same video before, but I didn't even reach the second phase the only time I faced the spell. But why is Wriggle Kick original when many bosses before PCB can smack you in the face as well? xD

Speaking of Shinki, I find it fishy that Hopeless Masquerade(TH13.5) is "Shinkirou" which is a pun to mirage.

I can barely even 1CC Normal mode in most game...

And then you have the incredibly brutal TH11 and TH12 that make me ragequit almost every few seconds. Those huge bullets...and Byakuren's final spell...

But I came so close to beating Touhou 13's Extra Stage. But then I got addicted to osu. And yeah. :P

It would be awesome if Nitori and Koishi somehow managed to get into Hopeless Masquerade. Nitori has a high chance since she was supposed to be in 12.3, not sure about Koishi...

ZUN probably had them take a picture exactly like that on purpose just for speculation. It's more than likely just a fairy maid, just like the other maid standing over there. That being said I can't 100% deny that possibility. Just the probability.

Well...I found that "Touhou Hisōtensoku ~ Chōdokyū Ginyoru no Nazo wo Oe" is really attractive to those who love fighting games.
I have played this game for three months, and it's hard for me...The method of defense is really different from Super Smash Bros, a series of games release by Nintendo. So it's hard for me to get used to defend.

I almost did a hard 1cc on Subterranean Animism just one day after getting my very first ever hard 1cc in a Touhou game (Ten Desires).

And the sad thing is I missed out on an extra life just before the game over because a sun bullet perfectly covered the last fragment so I couldn't pull it in with focus.

Those moments when you see a spellcard do something that you have little chance of escaping from... Got to hate them indeed, especially if they are long survival spell cards.

Anyway, anyone know what characters other than Reimu and Marisa are going to be in Hopeless Masquerade?
