it also happened with several other maps, including one of my own recently ranked maps, when i was in MP today.

also when i go into F9 my cursor goes invisible. i can figure out where i am by which user panel lights up, but not much else, and i dont think (although i cant quite tell, since my cursor is invisible) that i can get into the part above the user panels to toggle the "display friends only" thing at all. for that matter, i can move my cursor around outside of osu to right above that and then go down a little bit onto it and it wont toggle if i click.
Cyclone duplicated this, but upon restarting (and restarting twice for me) it corrected itself.

There are no options in the SBE visible (The whole left options bar and even the Sprite Library button.). But when you hover over where the options at the left side should be, the "Vector Scale", "Vertical Flip" and "Horizontal Flip" bar appears anyway.

I'm unable to play without it messing up my cursor sensitivity, then if I press retry or back to menu, the entire screen goes black and I can't do anything. *sigh*

Opening the Timing Setup Panel in the editor doesn't auto-select the current timing section.

Timing flags in F3 also do not show 1/2x and 2x inherited BPM changes.

When the active timing section at the cursor is non-inherited and you enter Timing Setup from the menu, the wrong timing section is selected by default. It always selects the last inherited section before the cursor, even if there are non-inherited sections after that which are before the cursor.

This didn't happen in the last public.

Copy-pasted sliders don't show properly in timing bar while editing.
More details:

This happens when you copy-paste in the same combo
If you move a sliderpoint (one of the grey squares) it "steals" the repetions from the slider i copied o.o

Weird thing is that if the cursor in the timing bar goes after that sliders, its repetitions turn green and disappear from the slider i copied o.o

EDIT: if you save and re-open the map, everything is fine, it happens only while mapping

Public yesterday didn't do anything like this.

It seems this happens only to me, but sometimes i get silenced for spamming Intermezzo even if i don't write anything.
He told me that my test version keeps sending bug reports and i was silenced because of that.
Is there anything i need to do?

osu!direct remains visible and unretractable after retrieving pickup from spectator mode



also, after i downloaded the next pickup and before it extracted, i was given the opportunity to rate the song I had just watched Pasonia play even though I never played it myself

Add a new timing section somewhere in a song. Let the song play, and edit the timing section so it becomes Kiai and inherited. Close the Timing setup panel and both BPM and Offset become "-" and the Kiai Time indicator flashes repeatedly

Taiko auto misses any notes that are 1/4 or closer together

Edit: Any taiko streams longer than 4 notes will basically miss you

Also the left hit = left speaker, right hit = right speaker thing is dizzyfying @_@

this makes absolutely no sense to me.

Thanks for the bugreports.
We are tying up loose ends in taiko before we reset the scores. If anyone finds any taiko bug in this build please tell!

Actually, I use the public build.

And for the taiko fails, it only happens when the hp bar is not full. Even close to complete results in fail. A full hp bar is a pass on Pasonia's side, apparently.

Sometimes, custom overrides are carried over from one map to another when played in the editor.

I'm not sure on the conditions that cause this, but here's the testcase which did it for me:

I opened One Republic - Apologize and listened to its funky sliders for a bit. Then I opened Orange Range - Monkey Magic, only, to my astonishment, for it to retain the funky Apologize sliders!

I added this timing section using the new Ctrl+P binding and, despite being an inherited section, it has its own unique BPM?

It is possible to select more than one chat tab at a time by holding down Alt and 3 or more consecutive number keys (I used Alt+1234 in the screenshot)



It is possible to place an inherited section as the first timing section via Ctrl+P, saving causes the BPM and Offset to reset to -

Elaborating on what SFG said a page back.

I was watching in spectator mode, when the player chose a song i did not have. osu!direct popped up as expected and i downloaded it. Upon completion however, the song reappeared in the sidebar with the alignment all messed up. Also, the song would not load for me to watch until i stopped spectating and re-spectated. On top of all this, my mouse cursor(though not the game's cursor) has disappeared from osu! on more than one occasion when all of this happens.

I seriously doubt this is a bug (it must have been deliberate) but it is bugging the crap out of me so I'll mention it here anyway.

Ctrl+P now creates an inherited timing section, as oppose to a regular timing section. This is a rather annoying move in my opinion for two reasons:

One, changing an already existing (and for someone like me, very popular) hotkey to another function is disorienting. Why can't Inherited be Ctrl+Shift+P or something?

Two, there's really no reason for a hotkey to create an inherited section. I understand for maps that are a single section, you'll likely have more inherited sections than real sections but you need to enter the timing setup panel to configure inherited sections anyway so you're not saving any extra steps.

thanks for the source though, I whisked through the changelog briefly but there's no single-bodied text file (that I know of) to go through and I was too lazy to go page-per-page Ctrl+F'ing for the entry

Personally, I agree with the move, considering how the ratio of inherited to non-inherited sections in my maps is usually about 50:1. While it didn't need to be the same key combo, it certainly needed a key combo.

Also, when you make non-inheriting sections, you need to time them, etc., anyway, so a keyboard shortcut is a moot point when you're still spending all that time setting them up.

EDITOR: you can scroll past 100% in the timeline to see the outro of a Storyboard, which is cool, but there is no scroll limit when the Design panel is open.

When you drag an mp3 into the window when filtering to show only your own maps, the mp3 isn't selected and doesn't appear on the list.

Can be argued that this is intended behaviour, but it's never what the user wants.

Odd bug. When I open a certain map in the editor, I get solid black hitcircles with solid white approach circles:



Happens with this .osu, maybe any other with no hitcircles present.

-After modifying a highlighted slider, the slider then becomes "sticky"; buttons can't be pressed and clicking anywhere on the playfield modifies the end vertex of the slider that is highlighted. Touching the toolbars at the top or pressing 1/2/3/4 disables the sticky slider.

-Can create single-vertex sliders by setting two verticies then right-clicking on the end vertex. The slider's still perfectly normal and actually easier to drag around - oh wait, until you try to drag that vertex, then it disappears.

-Can click through chat window to place stuff on screen. I don't know if that was there before. Same goes for osu!direct windows.

-Can't seem to click and drag notes along the timeline at the top while anything is highlighted. In fact, highlighting is buggy (can't deselect on timeline, have to click and drag in empty space in playfield.) Notes can be moved along timeline when nothing is selected via the timeline (click and drag on playfield lets you drag multiple notes via timeline.)

-When multiple sliders are highlighted, setting a slider type does not modify them.

confirmed. Also there is a very small bug that i'm not sure about. But when you change the overall difficulty without saving the map you get this The 1 is there but not the circle it slow fades in tho. But it looks odd. not sure if it effects anything but to fix it you just save it and Ctrl+L

Confirming.

Also, when the slider is in its sticky state, you can't add any control points. Attempting to add one turns the control point selected into a red point always.

decimal format values don't save correctly in the v function:

once the beatmap is saved (despite the fact that this is osb code) the 0.4 will become a 0

EDITOR: a number of shortcuts no longer work (A,S,D - seem to have been removed entirely) and 1,2,3,4

Without these shortcuts, the "sticky slider" problem has now made the editor largely unusable for the time being.

Selection on the timeline is messed up strangely. When you first make a selection, it stays lit up and becomes sticky. When you attempt to make another selection, the start point of the "sticky" selection persists and can't be changed.

Making a selection in the field erases the sticky selection.

Edit: Another:

osu! can cause system-wide machine lag. Open the editor and go to Song Setup. Leaving it like that, go to a browser window or a Notepad and begin typing. Notice how extreme the lag is. (This might require a single processor machine to be seen.)

(I'm guessing an open dialog keeps osu! from relinquishing its priority as it should.)

When i select or search for this, my osu instantly crashes. Also, some oddities about how its displayed... (this is in play mode)



also, osu! crashes when i try to play/test DSMN. Both of the maps mentioned are one's I've downloaded in the past two days, but other maps downloaded in the same timeframe are fine.

When hitting "H" in the editor, the help screen pops up. That's not a problem, but the help screen won't go away if you hit "h" a second time.

Also, Ctrl + A in the Editor doesn't work.

And the countdown/sectionfail/sectionpass sound samples don't play.

i tried redownloading Farucon Pan and osu! crashed while extracting it. I have the mp3, the video, and the Easy diff only.
i'm pretty sure i have everything from DSMN but it's still crashing when i try to test/play it (but just running it in editor works fine, as does running it in public)
there are also a significant number of song folders that are no longer appearing inside osu! while its running but are in the songs folder and complete o.o; like, i estimate about forty of them...

Upon hitting retry during taiko mode, the skin will change from the taiko skin to your selected skin. It changes back and forth every single time i hit retry.

The osu! throbber is out of phase on maps which don't have a preview point set.
This only happens on VBR songs because of the way I read them. I don't particularly intend on changing it either.

When selecting multiple timing sections, checking Scale to New Timing, and applying a Change Selected Offsets By, only the notes of the first timing section selected are adjusted.

Dying in a multiplayer match gets you stuck on the bg screen for a looooooooooong time (No hitcircles or anything, it's as if you died in Solo) You can quit the multiplayer match if you want to.

when completing a map, all UI information fades out except for the pie graph of how far into the song you are.

Does not occur with the bar graph.

Not sure how to reproduce, but once, when I tried to select notes on the timeline, one of them teleported to 0:00.

(This was not an accidental drag, since the cursor didn't move back to that time.)


And another as I type:

When dragging a group of notes into a break, each of them becomes its own combo. Sooo many colours!

(IMO, when you drag notes into a break, the break should automatically shrink to accommodate.)

EDIT: Just happened to me in playing Auto-Tune the News #2 and agony. (which is Ranked)
It seems to have been saved in the site though.

Confirmed.
At first i thought this was a random freeze, but if it happened to someone else...

To me, it happened with a map that wasn't even submitted

EDIT: it also happens in editor when testing a map

Just experienced the crash on Comment te dire adieu [Normal] (Taiko)

It froze with a black screen upon finishing and I had to kill the process. It recorded the score.

Haven't experienced it on anything non-taiko yet.

(Also, IMO, the rolls are still too mean. If you go a hair too fast, it counts as nothing instead of just counting as less. >.>)

Some backgrounds do not cover the whole screen when the map is selected. Experienced this with my own map "Clu Clu Lovely Day" (but only on Insane) and "White and Nerdy". It might have something to do with the stretching of the background to fit the screen.

When sorting by rank, the players at the bottom of the list with 0 points keep dancing around.

Custom inherited BPM discussions, etc...

Press F8 to close the chat window. Keep the mouse on top of the close button of a tab as it slides down. It stays visible!

In the Timing Setup Panel it's not possible to change things in the "Timing" tab when you select multiple timing sections at once.
I'm not sure if this behaviour is intended, but if it is, can we at least check/uncheck the "Inherited Previous Timing Settings" box as we could before?

When choosing the Custom bubble in the Timing Setup Panel, none of the other bubbles become clickable. Like, I can TRY to click them, they just refuse to stay selected.

Again the 5.1 bug
Like in this topic the music can be heard only from the 2 frontal speakers (so stereo speakers and headphones work fine), while every other sound effect works (can be heard from all 6 speakers). And as before, it disappears when disabling "Use skin's sound samples" (and you can't hear Taiko hitsounds anymore T-T).
This was fixed, and I'm pretty sure it didn't do this up to b892/893RC.test (i couldn't test b895, sorry >.<)

EDIT: Actual Public is not affected

Nothing has changed in osu!. As before, I did nothing to fix it and I again will do nothing to fix it. Sorry but you need to figure this out at your end.

Either I'm an idiot and don't know how to close the In-Game Help tool, or this really is a bug.

The In-Game Help feature does not disappear unless you exit the editor or play the song in Test Mode.

Eh, this is a minor thing I noticed, but when you open a new .mp3 then go to "compose", the sideoptions (whistle, finish, new combo, etc.) have a delay.

The new notification tabs are still affected by the Jumping upward if you press F8/F9 to open the chat (but i guess it's intentional), and they glitch when that happens (but i guess this one is not xD).
(other infos: 800*600, windowed)
