Here again. You should have known what the colors indicate by this point. Also, NO KUDOSU; two should be enough.

Also, once again, change the source to Omerta ~Chinmoku no Okite~ (reference from vndb).

  1. It's pretty playable now, but you should really avoid making too much stylized sliders here, as many of them... looked not good. Also, seems like notes are placed randomly, although the spacing is consistent now (I hope).
  2. The Claps seem to not have any pattern. Sounds so random, y'know.
  3. 00:36:893 (1) - Not too sure about this slider. There's nothing to follow on the repeat, but there's one 1/2 beat later. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, though, just try to make it like this on the timeline.

Nearly first 20% of .mp3 are unused... 20% is the upper limit for what's legit... you might talk to a MAT about that later on.

Insane:

Decrease Drain and OD by 1.

  • 00:30:036 (3) - 1/2-beats fit better here, shorten the slider down and add a circle (also, 4 is not properly stacked on the end)
    00:31:750 (3) - ^
    00:32:607 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - since this shape is somewhat meant to be a circle (from what I think), rearrange it and try around until you got a good angle between the circles (you might also just rotate 60 6 times, by 60° each)
    00:33:464 (5,6) - 1/4-beats fit better here
    00:34:750 (2,3,4) - ^ (also, straight slidershapes are... ugly, and repeating ones too)
    00:36:250 (1) - expected this to be 1/2 shorter and start 1/2 later to fit the music better, also move the sliderpoint to balance the bow a little more
    00:37:107 (2,3,4,5) - this straight line of circles feels awkward to play, please create somewhat of a bow that goes down from 2-4

...well, based on this... I'd say, work on your slider-balance, use less points that are too close to each other, aim for an overall-idea of map and use less object-for-object-physolophics in mapping; objects shall belong together and form a map in the end, not be a row of "do this", "do this" and each step by itself



General advice: Do not use 90° angles, straight lines and please try to balance your sliders out as much as even possible (take a look at Lesjuh's maps to see examples for that but do not copy him), then go through your own map a few times and fix all you can by yourself.
Also @Hard: Do not use sliders that start on red ticks, these feel bad to play and awkward.

I'll just do some General modding and examples here

by Normal modders, your map won't get bunch of mods and for sure there would be some simple mods.
however, if you call a MAT, they will likely to say "your map needs to improve much more" and you'll get confused there. lemme tell you why!

- It seems like the map has no order and slider and circles are just placed everywhere. try to make sliders and circle patterns to have nice shapes. that's preety much everything i want to say because your map isn't ordered as now.
Let's see a example here. 00:29:179 (1,2,3,4,5) - itself doesn't have big problem, although it would be slightly better if (5) is placed at x=192, y=44, but let's skip this here.
then let's see the next 00:30:893 (1,2,3,4,5) - . this pattern itself doesn't have big problem too.
but, 00:29:179 (1,2,3,4,5) and 00:30:893 (1,2,3,4,5) doesnt make any cool shape nor it looks organized.make every your pattern has a reason, and try to make it form nice shape with previous pattern, and also pattern itself.

one example would be 00:57:464 (1,2,3,4) - to http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/337654 .
they are similar, but looks much nicer (but i don't suggest this paettern, your cursor nicely follows through 1-2 but then 3 makes the player do the random downward-moving. this is just an example how similar pattern can look much nicer by doing some work)
also, 01:01:107 (5) - this overlaps badly with previous (2). method to distinguish between cool overlap and bad overlap.. there's no guidline for that, but it's kind of feeling that you should know when you map.


you don't necessarily need to clear all the beats and do the all remap, but you can just re-place(move) some circles, and sliders to form a nice shape, and probably tend to look like it's somehow in order.
for example: download http://puu.sh/zLAY this .osu file, and put this in your map folder, and see how it's different although it plays very similar. (only beginning part)


ah, I'm not here to offense you here 'o'/ I hope I can see this map improved much more (and actually yeah, have to)

it seems like this is your first map, and it's kinda very good as a first map, but as you know, there are so many great maps.. and to be ranked, you need to be great like them too.
for that, this map isn't enough now! like i said, make sure every pattern has a reason and form a nice shape.

try to learn from recently ranked maps you'll see how it's different~


some suggestion for the rhythm :

00:35:607 (4) - from this part, 1/4 should fit the song.
00:39:250 (2) - this slider's rhythm doesnt fir the music imo



same refers to preety much all of the rest of the difficulties~ care about shapes and how it plays, and if it makes sense.
like i said before I strongly suggest to learn from already well-maden maps for more organized, and good-looking patterns!

*You need to take care of your previous spacing. From 00:29:179 (1,2,3,1,2) - I see you use 0.9 distance spacing. However after that you use 1.1. It's better to use the same spacing while you make easy so that it will not confuse the new babies. Same problem occurs at 02:10:321 (2,1,2,1,2,3,4)
*Btw, 00:31:321 (1) - this note overlaps the previous slider a bit. It's better to leave it away from the slider when you fix it :D

Also, another spacing problem is caused by your grid size. Since your grid size is very large, so it will cause some minor spacing problem. For example: 00:40:321 (2) - this note is a little bit close to 1. My suggestion is press ctrl+2 or ctrl+1 and use ALT to adjust all the spacing. Every notes should have the same spacing while they have the same beat length between them.

Hmm~~I don't know if you can understand me due to my non-native English. :3. If you didn't understand me, you can find random ranked map and see their Easy or Normal diff. You will find their spacing is very regular~ :3! It's better to use regular spacing since new players are not accustomed to recognize different spacing.

  1. I feel this diff has too much 1/2 and doesn't follow the song closely enough. From 00:29:550 to 00:43:050 you should follow the guitar and instruments more closely and use 1/4. From 00:43:908 to 02:06:622 you could probably follow the vocal more since it carries the song. Alternatively you could follow the instruments more closely but right now you seem to be placing 1/2 notes / sliders everywhere without much consideration for the rhythm. While this is passable the rhythm could be much better! ^_^ Some example suggestions below:
  2. You could also work on your patterns some more, the placement of circles often feels random. Why not check out the mapping techniques forum here for some ideas?
00:30:408 (4) - Move this to 1/4 at 00:30:300 to follow the guitar. You could create a slider that ends at 00:30:515 to follow the end of the guitar.
00:30:515 - This needs a note to follow the rhythm. You could stack a note on top of 00:30:622 (6) - if you decide not to create a slider.
00:30:836 (1) - This should be a 1/2 slider to follow the rhythm. The long slider doesn't really follow anything.
00:31:693 (3,4,5) - Same 1/4 suggestions as above.
00:33:408 (5,6,7,8,9) - This stream is kind of random on it's own. If you want to keep it you should extend it to 00:34:479 since this is where the stream sound ends.
00:35:122 (3,4) - Use 1/4 here again to follow guitar and piano.
00:36:408 (1) - Again better as a 1/2 slider.
00:36:836 - Note here if you do ^ and then add notes at 00:36:943 - and 00:37:051 - and 00:37:158 - to follow the guitar
00:37:372 - Note here if you do ^ to follow the guitar
00:38:551 (1,2,3,4) - Same rhythm here.
00:40:265 (1,2,3,4,5) - Like 00:33:408 (5,6,7,8,9) - the stream is random on it's own, if you're going to start it then you should finish imo. If you don't want to follow the stream a spinner might be a good idea.
00:44:122 (3,4,1) - Here you could have a 1/1 slider to follow the vocal.
00:44:979 (1) - This one should start at 00:44:765 - to follow the vocal better.
00:46:479 - Needs a note.
00:46:908 (2) - This one should start at 00:46:693 (1) - to follow the vocal better.
00:49:693 (1,2) - Similar thing here, you should use the 1/1 sliders where they fit and not just randomly.
00:51:622 (2) - A 1/1 slider would fit here
00:53:550 (4) - and here
01:03:836 (3) - and here etc. Hopefully you get the idea, just try to follow the rhythm of the song more for this part. ^_^
01:09:622 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Random stream that doesn't follow the song, remove please.
01:20:979 (1) - Don't change SV speed mid slider! Also slow down is random so I'd suggest removing it.
01:47:122 (1,2,3) - Don't leave a massive gap in the rhythm here. There's vocal and instruments playing away, it's best if you map this bit.
01:49:908 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13) - This stream for the most part doesn't follow anything so I'd remove it. It also sounds weird because at 01:50:550 to 01:50:765 - is a 1/6 drum roll.
02:08:979 to 02:20:979 - Same suggestion as 00:29:550 to 00:43:050 since this is a repeat of that part.

Overall, I think you should remap keeping a close eye on the rhythm and try some patterns because that's the most important thing here. I hope I've given enough examples of where to improve it but if you have any questions feel free to ask me.

While this is passable the rhythm could be much better! ^_^ Some example suggestions below:
  2. You could also work on your patterns some more, the placement of circles often feels random. Why not check out the mapping techniques forum here for some ideas?
00:30:408 (4) - Move this to 1/4 at 00:30:300 to follow the guitar. You could create a slider that ends at 00:30:515 to follow the end of the guitar.
00:30:515 - This needs a note to follow the rhythm. You could stack a note on top of 00:30:622 (6) - if you decide not to create a slider.
00:30:836 (1) - This should be a 1/2 slider to follow the rhythm. The long slider doesn't really follow anything.
00:31:693 (3,4,5) - Same 1/4 suggestions as above.
00:33:408 (5,6,7,8,9) - This stream is kind of random on it's own. If you want to keep it you should extend it to 00:34:479 since this is where the stream sound ends.
00:35:122 (3,4) - Use 1/4 here again to follow guitar and piano.
00:36:408 (1) - Again better as a 1/2 slider.
00:36:836 - Note here if you do ^ and then add notes at 00:36:943 - and 00:37:051 - and 00:37:158 - to follow the guitar
00:37:372 - Note here if you do ^ to follow the guitar
00:38:551 (1,2,3,4) - Same rhythm here.
00:40:265 (1,2,3,4,5) - Like 00:33:408 (5,6,7,8,9) - the stream is random on it's own, if you're going to start it then you should finish imo. If you don't want to follow the stream a spinner might be a good idea.
00:44:122 (3,4,1) - Here you could have a 1/1 slider to follow the vocal.
00:44:979 (1) - This one should start at 00:44:765 - to follow the vocal better.
00:46:479 - Needs a note.
00:46:908 (2) - This one should start at 00:46:693 (1) - to follow the vocal better.
00:49:693 (1,2) - Similar thing here, you should use the 1/1 sliders where they fit and not just randomly.
00:51:622 (2) - A 1/1 slider would fit here
00:53:550 (4) - and here
01:03:836 (3) - and here etc. Hopefully you get the idea, just try to follow the rhythm of the song more for this part. ^_^
01:09:622 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Random stream that doesn't follow the song, remove please.
01:20:979 (1) - Don't change SV speed mid slider! Also slow down is random so I'd suggest removing it.
01:47:122 (1,2,3) - Don't leave a massive gap in the rhythm here. There's vocal and instruments playing away, it's best if you map this bit.
01:49:908 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13) - This stream for the most part doesn't follow anything so I'd remove it. It also sounds weird because at 01:50:550 to 01:50:765 - is a 1/6 drum roll.
02:08:979 to 02:20:979 - Same suggestion as 00:29:550 to 00:43:050 since this is a repeat of that part.

Overall, I think you should remap keeping a close eye on the rhythm and try some patterns because that's the most important thing here. I hope I've given enough examples of where to improve it but if you have any questions feel free to ask me.

For the setting, don't put the volume at like 53%, 57%, etc.. Just add like 50%, 55%, 60%. Because, having a 3% diffirence, we don't really hear the difference.

Okay I feel I'm repeating myself just a little so I'll summarize my thoughtts to improve this (I suppose you could apply this to Normal/Easy too):

-- Improve presentation by aligning notes, making patterns neater and nicer sliders. (I pointed out the worst offenders but really you could go through the whole map and do this.)
-- Improve rhythm; longer sliders should be at a matching part in the song etc.
-- New combos; don't place them randomly have a pattern that follows the song.

If you get into the habit of making of doing these things it'll help your future maps too ^_^

Thanks for your star. In return:

[General]
  1. You may want to create your own sliderpoint10.png and sliderpoint30.png; they should match the 300's colour and style.
  2. Straight sliders and circles placed at 0, 45, and 90 degree angles are what most people are not looking forward to see. This applies throughout your difficulties. Care to make sure you get creative object placement; while these angles formed by the objects are not unrankable, they are certainly not optimal. Check out the entire map for each difficulty and limit yourself to a minimal number of 90 degree patterns.
  3. Many of your 3-point curved sliders, as well as waves and other sliders that were meant to be symmetrical, are not, unfortunately. Giving them symmetry would contribute to the aesthetics greatly.
[Easy]
  1. No problem with rhythm at all. The only issues are up in General.
[Normal]
  1. 00:46:693 (1,2,3) - Would probably look and play better if these sliders weren't so "fat". For sliders (1,2), use a simple 3-point curved slider. For (3), try an anchor at time 00:48:193 - to fit the music.
  2. 00:50:122 (1,2,3,4) - The 90 degree angles and straight slider combination, mentioned in Easy. Would try to improve the placement, as well as the symmetry on (4). Apply fixes to (4) to 00:53:550 (1) - as well, seeing how you have it as a rotation.
  3. 00:55:479 (1) - Remove new combo spinner since it's a continuation of 00:54:836 (2) - .
  4. 01:07:693 (1,2) - Would be much, much more interesting if these weren't exactly vertical or horizontal. Try changing their orientation while keeping the spacing nice.
  5. 01:13:265 (1,2,3,4) - Don't like the pattern very much. You can do something much more interesting with this 1/1 slider combination.
  6. 01:17:979 (3) - Removing the leftmost node ought to make this slider look a bit better. //Did you switch mappers here? Sliders seem to get more interesting from this point onward.
  7. 01:31:265 (2) - Angles between anchors are too big, making this slider look unnecessarily boxy for its own good.
  8. 01:32:979 (4) - Curved part has too much of a curve. When you restructure this, keep in mind to keep anchor at the slider tick 01:33:408 - .
  9. 01:53:122 (4) - Not too sure I like this slider shape; can be made simpler and more pleasant. 01:55:265 (1) - too.
  10. 02:14:122 (1) - From this time on, map contains too many adjacent 1/2 rhythms. Leave more space for breaks.
[Hard]
  1. Try slider tick rate 2 due to your abundance of 1/2 rhythm usage. This would allow you to hitsound the right beats during your chorus (01:42:836 - for example).
  2. 01:00:408 (3) - There seems to be a misplaced whistle.
