LOL, you're the same as me. If it's next-gen console, I bought all my games. While I never actually buy my music as well. And nice reference to your love for GiTS, BTW.
That's true. Sometimes even I am jealous about it. But I have to admit, on the other hand, I am pretty satisfied with what I've got here since everything is working just fine.

I know some other people who do it like that. Seems a bit popular, doesn't it? Perhaps it's because music's not that big. Five games are bigger than five albums (in most cases). Unless you have some high-speed connection to the net. So... Music's downloaded from the net, movies are watched in the net and games are bought legally outside of the net.

Agreed.

Yeah, it is quite popular. And your reason is one of the most sensible one applicable.

So back to the main topic I'm interested in with what kind of subs/dubs you're watching anime. As I stated before I watch anime with japanese dub and english sub (I could watch german sub in some cases but I refuse to since I want to get better in using english).

JP dub with EN sub.

Understanding the conversation while hearing the original effort of the VA is the best.

I totally agree with that. Though sometimes I have trouble understanding everything when I try to hear some special words I read in the subs and then I let it slip and I'm totally out.

LOL, I felt those times as well. Usually, I made it up by learning another word in it.

How about quality? In pixels, 360p and up are fine to me. If it's good, I usually put them in my phone for offline viewing.

If I really have trouble to understand the context I look up some words in a common dictionary. This helps me to understand and learning new words. I just leanr them because I need them in anime and internet. It's kinda LOL isn't it?

I can agree with that. As I mentioned before, I do not need 1080p HD quality, 360p and up are just fine to me. Since I do not pay anything to be able to watch it I do not expect high standards and I'm satisfied with what I get since it's not crap quality.

Yeah. But I have other reasons in learning Japanese since I am blood-affiliated to Japan.

True. It's better to see rather than not to see, no? Relieves the curiosity for entertainment.

I just learn new english words I din't know when I had to look them up. I won't touch japanese, at least not yet. There are a few words one may recognize from hearing them but that's all.

Why not? Hearing them and reading them is different, no?

Or are you focusing on English?

I love to hear japanese language. In my opinion it sounds beautiful. But I'm more focused on the subtitles, yea. Maybe, someday, I'll learn japanese. But not in the next few years I assume due to my non-existing motivation.

Yeah, me too. Even the so-called "World's most beautifully-spoken language" came second to Japanese IMO.

So, motivation's the problem? I understand that. Just keep digging the Japanese world if you want to find motivation.

What language might that be? I really don't have any idea on that. I like japenese the most, after that english and after that german, my language. I don't like the grammar stuff here in germany but the language has something "hard" to it. It's just... well, german.

Yep. I do not want to start learning just to leave it a few weeks or months later. I know I will quit it after a short period of time.

Don't really know. Most people here refer to it as French, but IDK if it's acclaimed so globally.

Guess that's fine. Awaiting something that would change your mind...

French? To be honest... errr... french is the one and only language in the entire world I would say I hated. I dislike it the most out of all languages.

Hah! Me to, me too.

Well, I have nothing against it. But I don't like it either.

Just keep lurking in Japanese culture.

I think I will. But... I'm really lurking, just taking quick peeks and listen to the language, continue listen to japanese music and stuff. I'm almost sneaking around japanese culture, one could say.

Well, you are.

Sounds friendly and welcoming. Well, thank you for that opportunity. Since I still go to school there isn't time for me to learn it anyway because I have to learn so much other stuff it's not funny anymore (When I say "It's not funny anymore" it's just a phrase regardless of whether a topic's supposed to be funny or not, just for your information). That's not to take as an excuse.

Well, I have the same problem when I'm on school. But right now, I'm on vacation. So...

But when I'm at school, I have Japanese lessons. So, I don't really have to worry about time.

Here in germany we don't have japanese lessons in regular school. We have to visit certain schools for this kind of language to learn. Same goes for every langauge except german, english, latin, french and spanish. At some regular schools you might learn russian, but that's it.

Well, that makes sense since you're in the European region. But having to go to other schools adds the troubles to it, huh?

Exactly. Since other schools might be kilometers away and such. Not every school, though. I know a guy who's brother has a friend who goes to a school where he's learning japanese at the moment. Shouldn't be too far away.

Friendly recommendations doesn't always hit the spot IMO. But still, they gave us something to watch (at least).

I read your conversation.

For me, I watch anime with JP dub online, and I watch anime dubbed on TV.

I bought DVDs from MovieStop/FYE but I only buy them used, but I wanted to buy new DVDs but there expensivs (DVD-BD combo). But I'm trying to watch some anime online on the computer before I'll get off. I only use subs to help me get better on my grammer and learn new words I never heard of. I stopped watching fansubs on stream for some reason and moved to torrents. If new anime is not picked up by CR and other, I'll just watch the fansubs.

If you want to watch anime with a Japanese dub, look at many people from Japan arrested for illegal uploading.

I really hoping we'll have FUNimation Channel on Dish.

I wanted to, on Hulu, CR, Crackle, and Viki but my crappy 4G hotspot sucks for buffering. Have you ever used 4G before?

It's just crap Crunchyroll/ANN reported everytime when this happens and counting... Besides, Japanese animation companies want to make money from their stuffs (DVDs and other)... I also heard last year FUNimation used over 1000 torrent users over One Piece and then, Toei does the same to them too. That's why One Piece was extremly popular and Toei/FUNimation want money from this anime.

No. Sticking to LAN with Wi-Fi router.

So they let them be at first, but asks for money later? Pretty common marketing tactic, if you ask me. That is, if they plan on rising popularity first.

My 4G Hotspot stop buffering videos on CR until the video pauses at where it stopped buffering and I have to refresh it and stop where I left off. So annoying. On my Android tablet, using the CR app, it kicked me out of the video where it stopped buffering, and it's so annoying, had to go back and it took me where it stopped at. I wish Crunchyroll should do more buffering improvements on the computer. Crunchyroll is the only thing I stick with.

Have you ever join CR?
