I guess I have a bit of a distaste for K-Pop. I mean.. the videos are nice to watch, but the music is pretty is just repetitive and unoriginal. With some exceptions here and there, it seems like their looks are more important than their musical skill..

Other than that, I don't really like these slow rnb songs that just stay in a slow tempo forever.

Also, yay I just made my first post on these forums

I can't say I would dislike or hate any music genre. The song/music that comes from that genre, it really just depends on the composition.

Not trying to get on the weeaboo side, but before saying something like this, I recommend listening to From Y to Y.
(I thought the same before I listened to it and became quite more open to Vocaloid after that, even though most of the songs don't do it for me.)

moved to Music Hall, noted the potential for inflammatory comments, tolerated the necrobump, and made note that anything lacking in melody (eg any genre of music that gets by on a couple looped samples or exists as a gimmick, eg wubstuff) or lacking in identity (pop music, including outside genres that follow a "recipe for success" approach such as pop-punk or nu-metal, country, wussrock, etc.) or coherence (lookin' at you, grindcore) kind of sucks from my point of view.

I also don't care for all the j-pop and such that gets mapped from anime, but as to whether it's structural sameyness, high-pitched candy-coated tone, or oversaturation from the osu! community that's done it in for me is ANYBODY'S GUESS

that includes the spotlight songs in MLP. Gods, I could sure do without those.

As for me, the older I get the more I find most metal annoying. I used to call myself a metal head once, now I find most of it huhmmm... unninteresting compared to hardcore / deathcore / dubstep-technical-indie-pop-core.

How can people even call that music? First of all, it doesn't make sense, second of all, you can't understand them, and last of all, they start making up words and it makes them sound like they're drunk. I mean, really?
But there are some good rap artists out there..but you rarely hear them

In particular, I can't stand Heavy Metal, especially the type with the incessant screaming of lyrics that just degenerates into screaming.

Quite often I turn down the radio when Skrillex tracks comes on. That's about it.

That's odd, I've always found that adding "core" influences to any genre of music makes it unequivocally worse.

This. Then again, it doesn't stop people from doing so.

On-topic: I can usually find something in most genres that I can like, but I can't find myself getting behind most bubblegum pop or most -core stuff. I'm also very much against most 80's hair metal and Nightcore.

Oh, no, I just see general folk/country hate in this thread. I mean, a majority of country music is bad, especially mainstream stuff (most typical 'good' country shares more bluegrass characteristics than anything else), but I don't understand folk hate.

You don't even need to add the bass; you just need to spend a few minutes experimenting with different speeds to figure out what sounds the least crappy, and then once you got the right speed you're done.

Anyways, the the only type of music I hate nowadays is calm, repetitive music with crappy lyrics that repeats for like 6 minutes straight without changing it up even once.

I never understood the appeal of Nightcore. It's just a song pitched up a couple notes and sped up, unless I'm missing something here.

Anyways, I prefer Liquid DnB and some softer Dubstep. There are a few hard DnB songs I like (which is like 80% of Pendulum), but I can't stand the majority of standard Dubstep/Electro. Most of it sounds like a construction yard.

The most I hate was... Justin Bieber... I mean, her his voice was too high for a guy.. So I think Greyson Chance is better... andI'mthebigfanofGreysonChance (?) , and I hate Rebecca Black... Doesn't mean I do what people do but.. Her voice was so weird.. Thinking that she got no nose and stuff about nose like influenza.

I've got other music type I don't like.. but, I'm afraid people would hate me for saying it. I hope you understand :3

I dislike anything highpitched. (Ex: A few vocaloids and nightcore types). I'm not a fan of screamo either.

There is really good nightcore but for me many nightcore songs are made in 2 minutes :/ Just take a song you like and pitch everything.

Most dubstep, I'm picky about it. Even though 99% of it sucks.

Most rap. Rap that I like has meaningful lyrics, and a beat that is rhythmical, not just some drum hits and 1 bass note.



What I would call a good rap song.

I hope most of you realize when you say "heavy metal" that it's not that heavy at all, stuff from Black Sabbath can be called heavy metal. Just saying because I see a lot of "heavy metal/death metal" when there's still kind of a decent gap between the two genres, mostly when it comes to vocals.
