I'm one of those, who got through fanstuff into Touhou. That's mainly because shmups aren't exactly my favorite genre. Still, the games are more fun than I expected. Doesn't change the fact that I suck on them, which is why the Phantasmagoria games are the only ones I have beaten (and even that only on easy). Other than that, I also beat the story mode of Scarlet Weather Rhapsody with Reisen (again, only on easy).

Stage one theme of UFO is badass. Nice incorporation of enemy fire to "dodge" which complements the direction your character would take to hit the beats.

Hisoutensoku has the worst netplay ever, playing it against another continent (hell even playing it with people in the same country as you) will give you horrible delay and make it nearly unplayable. Shame the person that was developing a caster stopped doing it, and the lobby is just plain shit which will increase your delay even more.

Hisoutensoku terrible delay in the long-known fact, and unfortunately nothing we can do about it. For example, in our local tournaments battles are only allowed up to the players, the speedtest of network which shows the rate B and above, and who lives near the capital. It's at least once but it helps.

I might have to redownload it on my computer; not sure if I ended up loading it back up to my computer after my computer got repaired a few months ago or not. I'll tell you when I have it again if you want to play in the future. I'll have to get used to playing Yukari, Remilia, and Komachi again, though. They're the only characters I'm decent at playing next to Marisa.

Oh man, I haven't played Hisoutensoku for so long. (maybe almost 1 year?) I should buy a remote to play that game and get back on controlling Cirno, Remilia, Marisa and Suwako.

Actually, wasn't it ZUN's aim to make Ten Desires an easier game them his previous ones? I'm not entirely certain, but I do recall reading that somewhere. Not entirely sure, but I do concur; the game was great. The new cast is pretty cool imo. My favorites have to be Seiga and Tojiko. Yeah, but still, 'not sure about it being harder. It seems as if it's on the same level and/or lower. I can have the right to compare since i've played all of the games except for Shoot the Bullet //sob//. EoSD is still forever going to feel like the easiest game to me, though.
On a side note, Have any tips for me on playing using Suwako in Hisoutensoku? I've played as her before but I'm absolutely horrible at it. 'Not completely sure of good moves to use in a row with her ((including spellcards.)) Oh.. that reminds me, I'm decent with Sanae, too. I always halfass playing her, though.

TD Easy was made to be easier than past Easies, but I don't know about the higher difficulties

The version released dec 31 at comiket 83 will be a demo. (some people said the text at the end of the trailer mentions it's a demonstration version)
About the trailer: I really like what I see, seems like there's no free flying around the screen, instead there's a flight height and you can jump up and jump down but pulled back to flight height by 'gravitation'.
Basically it kinda works like if it was ground based only now you can jump under attacks not just over them.
At least that's my first impression from the trailer.
btw U2 Akiyama and the person who plays the violin still delivers as usual.

Well to be fair it's not really a normal touhou fightan right now (have to see for myself how graze and special attacks works when game is out), this game looks completely different compared to IaMP/SWR/Soku.
However it does look exciting, i love the wall and ground bounce combos. While i would have preferred a normal touhou fightan, i'm OK with this for now. We'll have to see when the demo is released at next comiket

Mainly, yeah. I'm too used to the IaMP/soku systems where everything is based on the ground. They also changed the spirit system which was the reason why I liked these two fighters much more than any other.Keichirou wrote:

The game looks pretty, but, from that gameplay trailer, I can't honestly see it being very fun. I could be wrong, but it seems like the focus on flying isn't executed very well in a way that could cause the game to become bland and repetitive very quickly.

My #2 best game ever (I have TH6 - TH13 (some of these have English Patch)) (#1 is osu!) , sometimes too much bullets on screen slow down my PC
But that usually actually helps you play better :p
