Too explain in more detail, dark souls has some npc's, though FAR fewer than traditional rpg's and action adventure, they are there and they matter, wether human or otherwise.
This means that when you're fighting all by yourself, it's total joy when you stumble upon an npc, and it strengthtens the loneliness you feel in this vast world once you're forced to leave them to continue exploring. This is what I call a good gaming experience, you actually feel a lot from playing the game rather than an empty world where everything good quickly wears out and boringness starts stepping in.
It's an artistic game. Nearly everything you criticize about the game was done purposefully, so the obvious conclusion is that it's just not a game suited for your tastes.-A t H e N a- wrote:

It's Shadow of the Colossus and Ico, which was the first entry in the series, and is available for PS3.
Not entirely. It still gets choppy in some areas. The 3D is decent but there's a number of spots where there's huge ghosting in the landscape until you get really close to it. Every HD update/port I've played so far has been shoddily/lazily done and this was no exception.Ivalset wrote:

Mm, fair enough. All I know is that the framerate on the ps2 version was really fucking awful a lot of the time.
I only did the first 9 colossi on the PS2. I think the one on the SM64 Bowser2 stage was a frame-breaker but I don't remember that well.

Man, I almost want to drop money on the hd remake but I just can't justify paying for a game I've already played + beaten, especially something like SotC which is pretty much a puzzle game.
You can get it new for 30 bux from time to time. I got it for Christmas so it's not like I dropped money on it, but I probably would have anyway, despite owning SotC for PS2. Haven't played Ico yet, but I'm curious about that, too.

People will probably not understand but the game that first comes to mind is Dynasty warriors 4+5 or just the series in general, at that time it was probably the most fun game i had out of a pretty solid collection and there are some games that surpass it now by a lot, but nothing really compares to the enjoyment it gave me at the time.
There are lots of games more complicated than Pokémon. Its strong suit is the amount of variety and personalization it allows in a team without loss of competitiveness.TheNutritiousGuy wrote:

What is my favourite game of all time? It's not really easy to answer that question due to the mass of games I played in the last time. I think The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of my favourites simply because I loved The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion so much and Skyrim is even better.Another game I really like to play is The Binding Of Isaac, a really nice indie game. Minecraft is also one of my all time favourites. But I forgot the most important game that influenced my viewpoint to any other game I ever played. I just post the picture here because the name's not enough :3

Grandia. I'm highly disappointed if nobody else has this as favourite game.

That pretty much covers my favorite genres. Overall... they're basically all tied. I have more hours on tf2 than everything else combined, but there will always be a place in my heart for fighting games, and its hard to explain why I played the first viewtiful Joe games so much (I guess I just like the style)

currently osu's my favorite, but it might get annoying if i kept playing longer (i'm just playing it for 7 months), since i don't know that yet i'd say overall it looks like this yet:
1. Dark Age of Camelot

I really enjoy the Metal Gear Solid series but Fallout 3 left its marks, its such a great game.

This question is evil. One does not simply have a 'favourite game'. If i'm looking for some quick fix/satisfaction I'd say Osu is my favourite, In terms of best gameplay and overall most fun i've had on a game (not to mention 3000 hours gametime clocked) I would say Final Fantasy 12 for it's sheer size and complexity, you could play it for years and find new things about the game with each play. However if i want a game to truly test my reflexes and technical skill, Osu, Guitar hero and games of that nature would be my favourite.
Seriously i'm just scraping the surface of what i want to say here, this question has destroyed me.

I really like a lot of genres, and a lot of games, however the one which was always standing out was Baldur's Gate series (1, expansion, 2, expansion). People today may not appreciate it due to heavily outdated graphics, however there is more to games than just pure graphics.
Also I have to say that seeing recent events, such as this made me realize how much I want to see this happen, because certain scenes in that game would get a whole new dimension, and a whole new level of awesome.
