I've played the original on PS2 but not Substinence. Can't be bothered with the HD Collection because MGS2 means dealing with Raiden for the rest of the game after about 2 hours into it and I can't be bothered with Peace Walker for some reason.
I mean, it hasn't even been a whole year since I played and finished Snake Eater on PS2. This is my issue with games I technically already have. I simply cannot tell whether I should buy a rerelease or not unless they add plenty of new content rather than porting it (Zelda and Star Fox were no-brainers though. I bought both.)
I hear that it's not perfect but still a great port. Besides, I still need to get The Last Story anyway.

I didn't buy it at first because it was too expensive. Now, if I buy it, a new DS will come out in a week and I will be behind again. No use trying to keep up ._. Also, the 3D hurts my head. Not worth it for me...

I usually play with the 3D turned off because I like holding it at weird angles that aren't 3D friendly. But sometimes I turn it on when something happens that gets me thinking "wonder how cool this would look in 3D".

The battery life's also not so bad if you play with the 3D off and the brightness on a lower-than-maximum setting (I use brightness 2 or 1 depending on the lighting in the room).

Yeah, I don't use 3D all that much either, just only when I NEED it. I sometimes cut it on while I'm charging my 3DS, though.

I only use 1 when not playing with a charger, regardless of my location. Oddly enough, I rarely use 5 even WITH a charger.

I use the 3D almost all the time and strangley enough it works out fine for me without any problems. I only ever play with it off when the battery starts to get low or when I turn the slider down by accident without noticing.

Me too. People just suck at using their eyes. I've never had problems with it. Four hours full blast motha' fucka'z.

Well, that seems to be the main difference between my DS Lite and a 3DS, so wouldn't want to spend that much money on a feature I won't even use.

Yeah, but some games are exclusive to the 3DS, so I don't even think of it as a DS Lite when I don't use the 3D effects.

I've tried a few times but never had any luck. I think my schedule isn't aligning with anyone else's very well these days! Why can't everyone live in my timezone and have my schedule? Argh! Who came up with the idea to give people the ability to not be on my schedule anyway? I'm going to sue that motherfucker into oblivion.

So I bought Resident Evil Revelations. It's quite fun, and the Raid Mode is excellent.

The only gripe I have is that the subbers were CLEARLY asleep or didn't know English very well; spelling errors, incorrect grammar, words are dropped entirely from the sub, when everything up to said points has followed dialogue.

But, minor things.

Kyaaaaaaaa~ There are remixed tracks from TWEWY (actually I only watched a clip with "Calling"...had to stop myelf) in KH3D.

Ruined the OP for myself...I teared up. This is so unfair >_<

I haven't played it, but people are all "omgomgomg" because of multiplayer and something about "I CAN FEEL THE NOSTALGIA" or something (even though most people never played the original until after Pit was announced for brawl .-.)

I'm aware that you can raise the difficulty level, and I know the action is probably hectic on the highest difficulty and probably multiplayer, but I mean like... do we get to use power-ups found on the field/sky, if any, for both single- and multi-player? If not, I'm still not convinced.

Wanna point out that power ups and weapons you earn in multiplayer can be used in single player and vice versa.

Of course some Powers are block from multiplayer matches since they would give an unfair advantage but most are usable, the 3 on 3 are super fun and balanced since even if you have the strongest weapon in the whole team, if you die they lose tons of health, you can be the biggest weakness, it really takes a lot of thinking, which is actually fun.

Got Kid Icarus now, I'm up to chapter 16 but damn, the amount of Fourth Wall obliteration is hilarious. The dialogue in the Story mode is light and humourous, and it's made me laugh quite a few times. And I rarely laugh in real life.

Also Kid Icarus is an amazing game, I've been playing it for a while now and I've enjoyed it. It's slightly annoying for a left hander like myself but you get used to it (you are slightly inaccurate during attacks though)

Personally, I haven't had any problem with the control scheme; I know in some reviews some people have been complaining about hand cramps. 89/69/24 Treasure Hunt achievements later, and I can pass some 9.0 intensity levels without issue.

Multiplayer is amazingly fast paced and balanced. I love it just for the sheer fun of it all.

Finally completed RE: Revelations and what do i get? Multiplayer Cooperation mode xD I wish i had that earlier.

My Conclusion: Nice game but some places are unfair. It isn't scary/creepy after you have enough ammonition. Unnecessary touchscreen bullshit and no real riddles :/. Nice story/twists and action scenes. Many unlockable stuff :D

Controls are kind of tricky but they work once you get used to it.

For reals, though, probably because the DS is like the PS2 was in that it has a large enough userbase that making games so late in its life and after its successor has come out isn't a terrible idea.

Fair enough, but there are so many games (like Pokemon Black 2/White 2) that would've been nice to see on the 3DS, buuuuuuuuut at the same time, I guess they decided to release it as just DS games because of the prequels.

Previews make me wish I haven't seen them... THIS'D BETTER BE A GOOD GAME! (Also, thank goodness they're not using Super Paper Mario's formula.)

Yeah, pretty sure it's a regular Paper Mario. Super Paper Mario started out good but got more and more boring as it went on. Only the writing kept me going past about the halfway point.

I'm waiting for more decent games. I'll probably get one sometime this year as well. Especially because my current DS is almost dead. :[

There's a strong possibility that Nintendo will release a 3DS model with two analog sticks. Dunno when, maybe they'll announce it at this summer's E3.

Dammit now I'm going to need to finish playing through 1KYD. I guess the stories are isolated enough that there shouldn't be too many spoilers.

According to the 3DS release date list from GameStop, it said Paper Mario 3DS and Luigi's Mansion 2 will be released on a same date (May 2nd for the North American release). Is that's true or what?

...You still haven't completed that game? Wasn't that game released like more than 5 years ago? Anyway, I've played all of the Paper Mario games. There's canon appearances and references to the previous game(s), but the stories don't tie in with each other. That being said, you probably won't understand a few/some of the references if you haven't played whichever Paper Mario game (one example being a Paper Mario character being referenced in PM:TTYD).

I have August 2, 2012 as both of their release dates... but yeah, as far as I know they're being released on the same day.

I'm sitting for a few weeks, with my accomplishment for completing all of the puzzles! When I went into puzzle swap, I could be accomplished knowing I had to do nothing. . . My playcoins rose above 10 and I felt success.
