Maybe some dude who mods very well from time to time. I'd like to believe that the MATs and BATs don't add people whose background, modding activity and skill they haven't checked before. Also, I really don't want to be mean, but would you people please DIRECTLY criticize what you think is wrong with the people added to the MAT or BAT instead of posting snarky, meaningless comments that make you look like annoying trolls? Skill is not everything. Being a nice and helpful communitymember is also a huge criteria. And that's the point where the most people fail I think. Maybe people like you who have skill at modding and mapping (though that is subjectivly anyway) should watch there attitude towards other people. I know many awesome modders being ignored/discarded for the possibility of becoming mat, Rin (talking about him, but there are so many people that can be good candidates) in my point should not be a MAT, he should be a BAT, I saw a lot of modding posts from him, he's an awesome modder/mapper and most important things, when modding, mods for helping people, as I see many current Staff members mod for find problems in the map or just for getting kudosu.
Gratz to naraku and sallad (especially sallad), others.... I don't know, just sad than my app got rejected again and from others too, for me at least the list of MAT/BAT is just "friends list/team", most of them don't deserve be one and just are noobs, I totally understand NatsumeRin and why is so angy at this because is frustrating how much better mods/mappers got they app rejected just because they are against this awfully system of rank and the people who overlord it or because they express their opinion freely without fear (people who you call "troll").
I think than quality is much better than quantity, but right now we need both.
Someone will say "Astom is crying" or something like that but I'm not crying for me it's for the people who really deserve be on that team, because I'm not really sure if I deseve be MAT or not, because they only want people who mod a lot, but at least I'm sure than I will be helpful, maybe not a lot like some people who overwork at modding, but at least I can point important things when it's needed and not just for say like most of modders.

The people appointed, after talking with various people of various "social groups" that have sadly arisen on osu!, I made the conclusion that all of these people were qualified. Not just because of their modding/mapping skills, but because they had a good attitude.

Poor narakucrimson, even though you guys never heard of him you can at least give him a chance right. As far as I know he's got a good attitude and is a decent mapper, so why all the hate?

I'm not a good tuba player because I just said "Well I'm just amazing these people are just silly", but rather because I listened to suggestions, and I also surrounded myself with imitating those whom were good at what they did. Did I become carbon copies? No! But I saw what made them good, and I applied it to myself!

I know many awesome modders being ignored/discarded for the possibility of becoming mat, Rin (talking about him, but there are so many people that can be good candidates) in my point should not be a MAT, he should be a BAT, I saw a lot of modding posts from him, he's an awesome modder/mapper and most important things, when modding, mods for helping people, as I see many current Staff members mod for find problems in the map or just for getting kudosu.
As far as NatsumeRin goes, he has proven himself a decent modder certainly at the level expected by the MAT (and possibly BAT). He was considered as far as the final round of selection (which the current newMAT come from, there were a lot others that didn't make it that far) but in the end, concerns about his ability to relate to and communicate with people led to the conclusion that he would not function properly in a team atmosphere, and is thus unsuitable for promotion at the moment.
There is more to being a MAT than just throwing out mods. NotShinta was another case where we had to consider a similar balance, but he has at least proven himself to be helpful and actively interested in improving and upholding standards.
You can accuse us of despotism until you're blue in the face. I'll just have you know that Mystearica was a MAT once (and one of the first at that), and there has not been a more vocal opponent to our perceived wrongdoings since.
NatsumeRin: if you shape up your attitude and start being more constructive instead of inflammatory, you could quite easily make it into the team - both teams, in fact. Just get a grip on your temper and step back a little from things.
Sry but I don't remember say something that isn't true and I haven't discussed with other people before, "most of them don't deserve be one" is not all of them, and is not only me thinking it, the good ones rly helps community and are overworked with too much maps/reqs and all. I'm sry of say this to you but I NEVER thought than I'm best mapper/modder or anything, I always want improve my skills at all you can see it reflected at my maps or other things, I said than they are noobs because THEY DON'T WANT IMPROVE THEMSELVES or anything at their around, maybe they or you think than things are "fine" but they are not fine.
Probably I will never send another app or I will never got acepted has MAT or anything related with that, still I will keep my good attitude to PEOPLE WHO CAN'T FIND HELP ANYWHERE like I always do and help them, is my way of say thx to the people who helps me and didn't ask anything in return.

If you are looking for reasons why you weren't personally accepted, you can probably PM a MAT/BAT about his/her opinion on your modding/candidacy as a MAT. Personally, I'd be glad to tell you my own opinions and how you can improve, but because the application process is about individuals, I won't be telling anyone other than the applicant, sorry.

If you were rejected and are angry because of this, don't ever expect to become a MAT. Ever.
If you can't handle rejection and understand we can't accept unlimited numbers of new recruits, then you have the wrong attitude and should never become a MAT. Congratulations to the new recruits, and good luck to anyone who doesn't fit the above criteria and strives harder to make it next time.
