most of the time when you find out things like this that you aren’t really supposed to know it’s usually not because you went out of your way to look for it
(like when it gets recommended to you on yt for example)
also I wouldn’t call it being snarky, i think it’s more like morbid curiosity

what is wrong is you don't know how your opinion will give an obvious negative effect based on the words you used
you can just let the song be and people who know will know and people who dont know wont
you commenting about said person just started this whole clusterfuck in the first place
with the way you are commenting you are making it far more obvious thatt this utaite has a "second persona" you can just leave it be just like you said
"if you know you know" - then you dont need to say something that would eventually spark the curiosity of other people
and also just appreciate the artist no need to bring in outside information
Jeez, it was quite hard at first to find anything covering what this guy is even talking about, to the point where I don't even think he should be concerned anyway. In fact, him commenting this is what lead me to look into, and discover more about this in the first place. Simply googling "Narumi" or "Narumi utaite" will get you nothing, and most people aren't willing to look any further. Except me cause it's 5 AM and I'm bored.
I'm not positive my theory is correct, but there is a lot of hints to back it up. Basically, it's likely that the utaite "Narumi" is now actually Tokoyami Towa of Hololive. Narumi stopped uploading song covers/livestreaming around a month or so before Towa was revealed. Their vocals are extremely similar as well.
On Narumi's videos, people reference the connection quite often, joking that she should become an idol, or that she has the "voice of an angel/devil", which references Towa's character being a devil, but despite being a devil, she's very sweet and friendly, so people will call her an angel instead.
Even if I had stumbled onto Narumi's covers, I wouldn't have thought too much of these comments had it not been for this person's comment in this thread.
I really don't think the fact that the utaite has moved on to become a VTuber should be enough concern for someone to avoid ranking a beatmap. All the guy's comment did was shine light on the whole thing anyway. I would've never known if not for his comment.
