00:01:816 to 00:08:674 - could add at least 1 or 2 3/2 break or remove a bunch of triples.

permalink

01:24:102 to 01:42:388 - same as ^ , could nerf this part by removing a bunch of triples or add 3/2 breaks.

permalink

03:04:674 to 03:22:674 - same here

permalink

i removed 00:15:959 as said below and 00:06:816, did this for all sections

00:01:816 to 00:20:102 - the mono k k kkk patterns we see on 00:02:245 00:04:674 etc. sticks out, but it doesn't really match the melody / drums that plays in those patterns

perhaps it would be more appropriate if we alternated between patterns like d k kkk or k d kkk to better follow the instruments?

permalink

applied d k kkk to 00:02:245 (4) and 00:04:531 (18), also changed 00:04:388 (17) from d to k, did this for every pattern

00:15:959 (87) - remove this for break

permalink

removed it, and also removed 00:06:816 on all sections

00:20:102 to 00:28:674 - i feel this section has too many 2/1 breaks and could be buffed a bit so that it doesn't play too much like a futsuu

one way could be just adding notes for the vocals (like on 00:20:959 00:22:674 00:23:245), then adding a few more 1/2 rhythms (add 00:27:388 and 00:28:531)

all this would still make the overall note density of this section much lower in comparsion to the section after this (00:29:245 onwards)

permalink

applied all of these

00:30:102 - consider moving this to 00:29:816, which is a stronger sound with the kick / vocal

00:37:816 00:38:102 - it would feel more natural if 00:37:816 was a d for the kick and 00:38:102 a k so as to emphasise the dons on 00:38:388 imo

00:39:245 - i know that k here makes sense for the snare, but k K is a rather uncomfy pattern for a muzu of this bpm

i'd argue it'd be more appropriate if 00:39:245 was d, which would emphasise the finisher through colour change

00:39:816 to 00:43:959 - this section can also be buffed a bit to represent the drum fills here rather than having 1/1 rhythms

adding notes on 00:39:888 00:39:959 00:40:245 for example would work, especially since you use triplets on 00:44:388. the amount of 3/2 breaks here would still make this section not too dense even after adding these notes imo

added notes

00:45:174 - consider deleting 00:45:174 and adding a note on 00:44:888

this allows you to put finishers on 00:45:245 00:45:816 00:46:388 00:46:959 00:47:531?

permalink

you might need to adjust the patterning so you don't get a k K pattern as discussed #4751422

00:45:245 to 00:46:959 same as #4751418, you could fill these 2/1 gaps by adding notes on the drums here: 00:45:531 00:46:102 00:46:245 00:46:602 00:46:674 00:46:816

there would still be a 3 x 1/1 gap for the break

00:47:531 to 00:51:816 - i'd tone this section down a bit, the long 1/2 phrases paired with the amount of triplets here makes this quite a spike in comparison to the more tense kiai section and even the intro section

perhaps just emphasise the vocal line and delete 00:48:816 00:49:959 00:51:102?

01:06:102 - this could still be mapped, a 3 x 1/1 gap is still a valid break for a muzu

01:13:674 - it's best to avoid 3 consecutive triplets here especially for a 210 bpm muzu i don't think the music justifies this very tense pattern also

i'd just delete 01:14:031

permalink

i tried moving 01:14:031 (388) to 01:14:745 (394) instead of deleting it

01:22:531 to 01:22:674 - add notes on 01:19:816 01:20:959 01:22:531 for the drums?

the drums actually picks up here compared to from 01:14:959 so it'd make sense not to lighten the density imo

permalink

02:55:031 - the instruments drop after 02:54:959 so a note on 02:55:031 feels a bit weird

thus maybe move 02:55:031 to 02:54:888 (and change the colouring)? it would match what you do on 01:14:245, which feels very natural imo
