i know this song has pretty sleeper rhythms cuz its almost all 1/3 but when it actually has some 1/6 it is weirdly skipped?
specifically referring to insane/ex/top
insane actually lacks any active 1/6? skipping some obvious ones like 02:23:405 02:46:448 also making this passive 03:00:724 comparing to basically all other diffs which map them actively. disregarding the 1/3 density this feels more like hard diff rhythm, even though if you compare this diff to the hard diff there is actually some active 1/6
on ex 03:00:724 this is the only part of the song that actually has a 1/6 triple, all other times the song has one 1/6 note preceeding a white tick. feels really weird that its the same rhythm as all others, when the song is doing something different at the climax here
for top diff the same thing basically the same thing at 03:00:724 , the map has been doing the 1/6 doubles that are in the song up to this point, but when the last chorus of the song introduces the three 1/6 sound it is mapped partially passively? to me it makes most sense as a triple as thats what the song has kinda been building up to
They feel completely fine to me?
Insane has some clear simplification of 1/6 rhythms that just prioritizes and highlights the other instrumentals. Kinda "whatever" to compare with Hard diff, since rhythms between guest difficulties don't have to progress linearly.
For extra and top diff concerns just feel like you are using your personal preference when it comes to following some 1/6 rhythms as passive rhythms or doubles. Not every 1/6 rhythm must be active, up to mappers interpretation and freedom.
Anyways, current rhythm choices work perfectly fine on their own.
idk about the point about GDs not having to have progression, i thought GDs were treated like all other diffs for the spread? i would get the point when there are like 2 insanes that do different things
on insane prioritizing other instruments kinda doesnt make sense to me when 03:00:724 (1) - doesnt prioritize the downbeat but the first of the synth triple, but then the map ignores all other instances of the synth
didnt mean to come off like it was preference suggestion for the ex/top the point was that the 1/6 doubles fit the map when the
also oops fatfingered
going by what you said for insane: 02:23:405 - & 02:46:448 - are skipped to follow the vocals here which fits well as the whole diff tends to focus vocals entirely, and 03:00:724 (1,2) - makes sense to be passive as clicking a triple and then 2 circles in a mid insane is quite straining
for ex i think this is fine regardless as using the rhythms they want while mapping the 1/4 this'll be probably most ideal that u can get without going against mappers intentions on what they want to map and how
for topdiff similar explanation as extra
personally see this as personal preference especially on extra and topdiff, we will see what the gders / host have to say
tbf it really doesn't matter, you don't have to map every single sound you hear in a song... also in insane it's clearly intended that they want to follow vocals
in my diff for example, i just want to put more emphasis on actual 1/3 rhythms/vocals and the melody to be faire as 1/6 here are pretty minor
to me that's not even an issue, it's just a matter of point of view in rhythm choices
could we close this as the map is getting ranked soon?
Would like to get some opinion if timing needs -5 to -9 offset as it currently feels slightly late to the song.
Dear Sotarks,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request a modification to the beatmap set tags. Specifically, I propose that the names of all Guest Difficulty makers, hitsounders, storyboarders, and any other contributors be included in the beatmap tags.
Including these names will ensure that all individuals who have significantly contributed to the beatmap are properly acknowledged and recognized. This adjustment will enhance transparency and appreciation within the osu! community.
Here are their respective usernames to be added to tags: derandom otaku fuxi66 wen amateurre nymphe kiyoshi guarden
Thank you for considering this enhancement.
Best regards,
Malphs.
