00:14:915 - would be good to use a finisher here to emphasize the start of the kiai, you did that on every other kiai as well

permalink

true, I forgot that

I suggest moving 00:19:374 -> 00:19:212 and changing the pattern a bit (maybe a ddk or something else you'd like). I see that you're avoiding the 5plet here which is good but it would be nicer if it the chain started as x x xxx x instead of x x x xxx because you've been mapping x x xxx at the start of all your previous chains. Sound-wise it doesn't matter that much but it's nice for the player to keep it consistent.

permalink

also move sv with it ofcourse if you apply!!

00:25:293 - shouldnt you be mapping triplets over vocals as you did with 01:06:806 - ? there's drums to support it too so it feels kind of odd

permalink

made triplets

unsure if you misunderstood, but i was suggesting to map to the vocals triplets on 00:25:779 / 00:27:077 - instead of this improvisation
right now its a weird inconsistency and i think it'd be more intuitive to use this mapping

I guess I did it right now

00:32:914 (125,126,127,128) / 00:38:104 (154,155,156,157) - wanna ctrl+g these? feels a bit odd since youve always mapped over drums so having a triplet mapped over a 1/2 gap feels kinda odd

permalink

yea is okay

I really like the structure on 00:38:914 so I would recommend to also apply it to your previous chains. It would also be cool for consistency. So for example you could move 00:31:698 -> 00:31:374, 00:33:158 -> 00:32:996, 00:35:104 -> 00:34:942 etc (ofcourse you can change the patterns if you do this). Like this you can consistently create that x x x xxx x x structure you're using on 00:38:914 which sounds a bit better than x x x x xxx x imo.

permalink

also goes for 01:12:320 if you agree and apply

I think I will not change them bcs everytime on this part where I used a triplet it was on the most intense sound of the vocals. It feels a bit off if I change it and I think it is still fine

What would you think about moving 00:43:212 -> 00:43:374? It sounds a bit better to me and also allows you to emphasize the ending of this part of the song, especially if you make it a kkd in my opinion.

permalink

Much more better now

should probably move 00:47:509 (203) - 1/2 later to 00:47:671 - for the clap as you map the same claps in the next triplet, plays kind of odd in the sense you dont map all of the sound you focus on when it's much more intuitive

permalink

applies to later kiais too

permalink

yea seems good

00:49:942 - 01:26:266 - 02:02:590 - You're skipping important sounds here which makes the map feel a bit weird to play. Consider adding notes at the time stamps.

I think you could create a pretty cool break on 00:49:942 and similar parts like that throughout the song. I recommend you keep 00:49:942, move 00:50:104 -> 00:50:185, delete 00:50:266 and then also delete 00:50:590. Like this you're putting extra emphasis on the offbeat note while also giving the player time to prepare for the d kkddk! I recommend making every sound like that like this. So for example you can change 00:55:131: move 00:55:455 -> 00:55:374, delete 00:55:779 and 00:55:860, then make a 5plet on 00:56:104 like you did earlier. So I recommend you to keep following that structure on those parts of the song to keep it consistent.

Cool break! Added them to every Kiai expect of the 1st one

I don't really see why you wouldn't move 00:55:455 -> 00:55:374 aswell (perhaps you forgot this one or something but I think not since you said you applied that to every kiai except the 1st one). Would be a bit silly to not do it in the 1st kiai since it will just get inconsistent if you don't apply it there but you do it in the other kiais.

also if you don't wanna apply it on 01:36:644 atleast place a note there since the little gap is pretty awkward right now imo.

02:03:077 (695) - if you want to do the xxx and xxxxx thing instead of the 3/4 thing you should do it consistently imo and just not listen to my 3/4 stuff, would be better to just stick to one of them (both are right so it's fine either but it's better if you stay consistent with it). Also map the xxx on 02:03:077 if u wanna pick that option!

I think I got it

How about you do https://boaz.s-ul.eu/J5G4DBqP? Would give you best of both worlds: emphasis on the breakcore stuff but also mapping the 3/4.

permalink
Reopened by Boaz

Also I would really recommend either making 01:26:428 a triplet or making it the 3/4 (I highly advise doing the 3/4 but if you really don't wanna do that i think you should place a triplet here to atleast map those sounds.

oh oops didnt mean to resolve

permalink
Reopened by Boaz

If you wanna do the triplet you should make it like you did at 01:36:644 and some others parts which is also fine in the end to be fair.

permalink

Added some triplets

01:31:779 -> 01:31:698 for consistency with 00:55:374 and also sounds a lot better of course, i'm pretty sure you did this on accident.

yea I forgot it. Thx that you noticed
