hmmm i see what you're saying! from my perspective, i wanted to emphasize the 1/8 rhythms while the main instrumentation is holding while also being able to prepare the player for the transition to such a large stream. i think the pattern would work best as i've interpreted it as is, so i'll keep it like this for now
