There is a big difficulty gap between the Insane and top diff. The spacing and density in this diff is fairly simple, whilst the top diff utilizes heavy 1/4s, huge spacing and high SVs in the top diff.
The problem mainly stems from how this diff handles spacing and density with some sections feeling extremely underwhelming and some others overdone. For example:
The kiai sections feel too similar to the verses when you compare sections like 00:48:096 - and 00:34:382 - where patterns like 00:48:096 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5) - 00:34:382 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6) - just feel the same in terms of both density and spacing. The slight SV change doesn’t help much either and just adds to this diff feeling underwhelming.
Was also not sure why the density died in the part at 02:51:525 even though the intensity still remains the same? Could just map this part the same way you did in 02:37:810.
Additionally the section at 02:15:868 - feels a bit underwhelming due to the 1/1 gaps in this section. I get that this section is pretty calm, but given how the Hard and Expert diffs handled this section, this feels really underdone. At least turning 02:17:925 (2,3) - 02:19:296 (5,6) - 02:20:668 (2) - as 1/2 sliders would work to remove the 1/1 gaps and also to catch the synths on the red ticks. You could also add a circle on 02:16:382 as well for the kick.
Since the top diff is pretty 1/4 heavy and has a lot of kicksliders especially in 00:56:325, it would be nice to introduce more 1/4s in this diff. Additive 1/4s can be added in 00:24:010 - 00:26:753 - 00:50:239 - etc, and some passive 1/4s can be active instead, such as 00:43:296 (1,2,3,4) - 02:11:068 (1,2,3,4) - 01:29:925 (3) - and similar. Additionally, some 1/2 sliders could be split into circles such as 00:35:410 (5) - 00:36:782 (6) - 00:38:153 (5) - etc.
Overall, a general buff in spacing and density would help create better contrast between sections as well as bridge the gap better between this diff and top diff.
02:51:525 - fixed. this was intentionally simplified. my intention was to express the last section in a slightly special way and as it was the last section, I tried to adjust it to a simpler beat to reduce tension during play.
but I felt this method did not fit the meta of osu!. so I modified it
