It depends why you lost motivation to play this game ;w; As a guy who played quite a lot of osu in my first & second year, it might be whether you only play the game for improving or just got bored of the game ._. Most people who feel this way or stop having fun playing the game often take arround a week or a few week off break. You could try that out and see whether it'd helps you to find motivation back in playing~ There's also a possibility that you got bored off playing the game, which is pretty common, which as 1st suggestion stated, taking atleast a few weeks off break and see how it goes. Maybe you're too fixated on improving perhaps that might be a problem as well. It's important on games such as these to analyze yourself and asking yourself, "Why I don't enjoy this game?" Maybe in the end the game might not be for you :'(, sorry I can't help, but maybe vaguely answer like this might help you ^^

Haha, I doubt it, maybe other difficulties are, like Insane and Light Insane, but those 2 difficulties last ones in my opinion are quite tricky to do, hence I doubt anyone would do for the performance points~

Hey, the game has been out of almost 10years or so if you haven't played it, I doubt you will anytime soon haha, and well to be honest, knowing cg doesn't really spoil the story anyway, atleast how I pick the CGs of the visual novels I map, after some time I forget about them, and even if I don't I still have no idea when the CG appears in the game, or what significant meaning it has, so yea ^^, Basically has been this way to all my maps
