this is a general advice, so I'll put it here.
It is better to represent the melody somehow since that's really noticeable in this song. Ignoring to play the repetitive synth sounds in the background makes the map less relevant to the ongoing bits of the music imo.
I'd suggest playing around with patterning. Perhaps using doubles, LNs, minijacks, or hand bias to more properly represent these melodies.
