oh boy I sure do love sitting down to enjoy a fun session of my favorite drawing tablet input rhythm game osu. I can't wait to check the beatmap page and see what cool new music awaits me. surely it will be varied in both the style of music and the mapping used to represent the rhythms. Oh... what's that? 15 maps ranked within 24 hours of music from a single anime all by the same user? Damn dude that's beast, keep up the good work everyone 👌👌👌
Yea man I've been scream crying since I wrote that obviously. Had to get a new keyboard after the water damage caused by all of my tears that fell on it
At first I just wanted to say "skill issue" but I saw that you made almost 200 maps in 4 years. osuHOW. Im so done with trying to figure out what is rankable and what is not that im just gonna say: if you try hard enought, you can rank anything. Your maps certianly don't fit in "conventional" mapping. There is people who are known for ranking this stuff tho. I dont know what YOU want to do, I dont know if this is your actual style and you go against the flow or you dont have enough experience/knowledge to even know what is conventional style. I cant give any advice because of this and I dont want to give false hope, just have fun.
ive probably made 400 beatmaps in total (half of them very incomplete to the point of not being worthy of uploading)
I have been mapping since 2020 and im still trying to figure out my style for my regular mapping. (the old map style i do is just another thing i do on the side). im basically forever mapping for practice.
its also difficult because a lot of stuff i map is english language emo rock, which only a handful of bns would want to nominate. but when that's combined with the old mapping style, that just drops to absolutely no one.
every beatmap nominator seems to only be going for people mapping anime openings and they dont want to branch out forwards.
