Postponing to next week isn't acceptible. Since it was network problem of Chinese team(one of staffs said that), team China will get certain penalty including auto-lose if setting the match within this weekend fails.

Why 2 vs 2 agian, didn't I say that needs my permission? 2 vs 2 match was to prevent malfunctioning teams to interrupt progress of tournament, but currently it is too frequent.

Canada vs Japan B was moved from previous week due to player's request, and 2 vs 2 again? That is outrageous, to be honest.

This round is a bit screwed up, I guess. Though there will not be any 2 vs 2 match in knock-out stage, never.
anongos
Sorry. Canada's team didn't have enough players. So I guess I should've given default win to Japan B?

I think this week was all my fault. I was too sloppy with the schedule this week. I'm so sorry.

Now that's not gonna be fair if a team has a malfunction like we did.

2 vs 2 again? This is outrageous. Currently considering certain disadvantages to teams that gave reason to 2vs2 and ascended to rounds of 16.
OnosakiHito
Ahahahaha, sorry that I'm throwing oil into water, but I told you guys don't do it without the permission of lepidopodus. And that was just minutes/1hour ago.
It's not just because one of the teams had allready a 2 vs 2 match before, the rule was broken again.
It was better to postpone the match because of such reasons. Now the teams will get a disadvantage.

Read the god damn rules and listen what the tournament-manager is saying.
anongos
It's not better to postpone the match. It's very late already and remember that this is the last week of group stage. All matches need to be finished as soon as possible to determine knockout round.
Shiro

lepidopodus wrote:

Then we get yelled at for postponing matches ? Hell no. I did what I thought was the best thing to do, feel free to kick me out or anything you think is appropriate. Both teams agreed on playing a 2v2 although Spain could have had a free win, and knowing the consequences.
And don't put things like "ask the tournament manager" if you know you can't be there all the time to decide. If you could you wouldn't have needed any referee to help you.

Sorry for trying to help and take some workload off your shoulders.
OnosakiHito
I said that allready in the chat before:
Personally I don't like it either to postpone matches, but I prefere it more as breaking the rule(3 times in a row are 2 rules broken). And this is really outrageous.
They were even yesterday nearly on the way to make a 2 vs 2 because a player was "ill" but able to be online in osu! ? lol
Sorry, but that is not pardon in my eyes. This is a fail of organization of this day staff.
(It has also nothing to do with your shedule anongos).

People were able to make there own teams, so they should know who is trustfull enough to be on every game avaible.

Edit: @Odaril: No one said this was bad, don't worry. It's just the problem that rules were broken, even after lepidopodus said how to managed such kind of stuff when he is not online.
Pheon
I deeply apologize for being the cause of this. I really tried everything I could to be there, but then it just gets messed up like that. Ugh.

http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/257854 + http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/257856 + http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/257858 Those are the scores I had on the maps, even. Wouldn't have mattered on the first map, but the second and third might've made an impact. :\ first try etc. Ugh. If there is any way I could make up for it, do tell me. If not, I can understand. My sincere apologies...

Currently doing some job with statistics. Please wait until I finish.

EDIT:
Hmm, Hope there isn't error on here.

Following Teams are proceeded to the knock-out stage cause they are 1st in their group:
Hong Kong A
Taiwan A
France
Korea A
Japan A
United States A

Following Teams are proceeded to the knock-out stage cause they are 2nd in their group:
Germany B
Japan B
Philippines
Spain
Germany A
Korea B

Following Teams are proceeded to the knock-out stage cause they are 1~4th among 3rd placed teams in each group:
United States B (4 games won, 7 games lost)
Italy-Netherlands (4 games won, 6 games lost)
Taiwan B (4 games won, 6 games lost)
China (4 games won, 6 games lost)

Following Teams failed to get proceeded to the knock-out stage cause they are 5~6th among 3rd placed teams in each group:
Macau (3 games won, 8 games lost)
Hong Kong B (3 games won, 7 games lost)

All of 3rd placed teams won 1 match and lose 2 matches, so teams having bigger {(the number of games won) - (the number of games defeated)} got ascended.

Following Teams failed to get proceeded to the knock-out stage cause they are 4th in their group:
Poland
Canada
Chile
Austria
Brazil
Malaysia

Not in a specific order.

If you found any error or if you have any kind of objections, please tell me until 6th of March UTC, unless this can't be reverted.
KanaRin
hmm.. maybe we should have 5 players in each team to avoid 2 vs 2.
I mean the next TWC.

EDIT2:

@MMzz: Simple. If you have a 4 different digits and you need to make higher average with certain number of those digits, which way is easier? 2, or 3? Especially you have 2 big digits and 2 small digits...

The basis is 3 vs 3 and 2 vs 2 is variant. At least there isn't any guys made open complaint, but what if some players think they got disadvantages due to this variant form of match? The most fair situation is giving exact same settings for every matches, and variant such as 2 vs 2 isn't good for that.

EDIT:
A bit fix of rules and match instruction. From semi-final round you need to win 5 games first. (Previously if was only for final round.)
(Not affect to this round, of course.)

What exactly is the conflict?

New schedule:

*Match times are subject to change.

Let's wait for Loctavs another year? It's pretty special and don't need to be used for the second one allready.
Kinomis is pretty nice, normaly I would be for this one, but we had don-chan allready last year.

So let's take MMzz, because of katsu-chan.
But please, make the quality a bit better. :I

Then please talk to the team you're playing against first. I won't accept any changes until you reach an agreement with them.
Topic Starter
lepidopodus
It's already Thursday/Friday, and you want to change schedule in weekend? Conversation between international players are really slow since there are various time zones... :S

I guess some teams might be dropped out due to scheduling. There has been some teams having trouble with match schedule and this isn't strange at all, to be honest.

I don't blame you guys about not participating the tournament due to real world reason cause real world is much more important, but even if this tournament is for fun we are pouring quite lots of our time, so please show us some effort to properly participate this TWC.

Oh, and no penalties for 2 vs 2 matches in previous rounds. I changed my mind. But don't forget, if your team can't gather 3 players in time, your team will be kicked out from knock-out stage.

EDIT:
@anongos: As I said before, if schedule overlapping isn't avoidable, just make them overlapped... I hope we can manage that properly.
anongos
So two matches going on at once is fine? Okay then.

And so far, the ones left who want a schedule change are KR A/CH, US B/TW A, and ES/GR B. I can make changes to two of them already.
matthewhln
I hoped it will not happend since I cannot stream both match at a same time

EDIT:
From this round if your team lack's players, your team will get auto-lose. If both team lacks players it is possible to make both teams dropped out.

This is just a reminder to ensure that everything goes proper and we don't need any rematches.

For the upcoming Knock-Out-Stage: Group of 16 AND Quarterfinals, teams MUST win 4 instead of 3 games to win the whole match!
