Tournament Rules

1. This will be a 2 vs. 2 team based CTB tournament, all knockout games.
2. Maps will be selected by the mapset selectors in advance and will be announced by tournament staff prior to scheduled play.
4. If no staff or referee is available, the match will be postponed.
5. Revived player’s score will be added to the total score.
6. Visual Settings options are allowed.
7. If a game ends in a draw, then the game is nullified. The last team to select a map picks again.
8. If one or more of the players get disconnected, it will be treated as if they have left on their own will. Game will continue as is.
9. If server is deemed to be too unstable, referees and/or Tournament Management will postpone the match.
10. If less than 3 players attend in total, the maximum time the match can be postponed is 20 minutes.
11. You are allowed to exchange players during a match with your backup
13. If a “Win by Default” occurs, this means the team swept their opponent.
14. Unexpected incidents are handled by judges. A referee’s decision can be overwritten by Tournament Management.
15. Any modification of these rules will be announced.
16. All match results will be posted on a spreadsheet.

1. Your team needs at least 3 players to participate.
5. Total amount of teams is 32. First come, first serve.
- 1. You are required to have at least 1 backup player on standby.
2. The maximum team size is 6, 2 main and 4 backup players.
3. You must specify a captain who will represent the team. Captain must know enough English to communicate.
- 1. No offensive/vulgar team names.
2. Please keep your team names at a reasonable length.
3. Tournament Management can force teams to change a name.
- 1. Captains are the only ones who can change their setup by notifying Tournament Management.
5. Total amount of teams is 32. First come, first serve.
- 1. If the demand of registrations is high, this may be extended to 64 teams.

1. This tournament will start with a Round Robin Stage and then after a Knockout Stage
2. Round Robin stage will be 6 groups of 4 teams.

5. The winning conditions will be as followed.
- 1. The first few round and the Round of 16, you need to win 3 maps to win a match. (Best of 5 games)
2. Quarter-Finals, and the semi-Finals, you need to win 4 maps to win a match (Best of 7 games)
3. Finals, you need to win 5 maps to win a match. (Best of 9 games)

1. 30 minutes before the scheduled match, the referees will create a multilayer room and teams will gather during that time.
3. Which ever team is listed first in the matchup will be the blue team.
4. First host will be determined by the referee by using the “!roll” feature then will alternate between the 2 captains.
- 1. The room will be locked, The password and invite will be sent to the 2 team captains. Team captains will then invite their team to the room.
2. Room settings will be as followed: Catch the Beat, Team vs., Win Condition: ‘Score.’ Room must be, “CTB 2v2 2014: Team A vs. Team B.
3. Which ever team is listed first in the matchup will be the blue team.
4. First host will be determined by the referee by using the “!roll” feature then will alternate between the 2 captains.
- 1. Captains may select maps out of the NoMod and FreeMod mappools freely.
2. Selection out of the mod-specific mappools is limited. Each team can select one map from each mod-specific during the match.

4. Mappools will consists of 5 brackets: NoMod, Hidden, HardRock, DoubleTime, and FreeMod.

7. The hidden, HardRock, and DoubleTime bracket will be played with their respective mods only.
8. FreeMod will have FreeMod activated. Every individual can play with Hidden, HardRock, Flashlight, or no mod.
