00:20:138 (1) - don't really like NC stuff. but imo you'd better keep consistent comboing (NC every 2nd big white line) that's why i want you to remove NC here.
00:28:126 (1) - ^ same here. i think these NCs arre extra ones. remove them to make patterns look better
00:36:780 - circle here? this empty space confusing for beginners, imo
01:09:400 (1,2) - NC swap. reason same as above. inconsistent comboing and remove NC here 01:12:063 (1)

Finished! Finally it was an AR9 map with a difficulty increase as the melody goes on (Difficulty: 8/10).

I put 2 notes before the uninherited section, that's why the Audio Lead-in is higher than the rest of the diffs (1000 ms vs 500 ms). If MATs/BATs don't agree with this, change it back to 500.

The mapping style is not one that I would use myself. I feel it's just "too random", if you will, for my liking. I think your 3 ranked beatmaps on a whole are are much more enjoyable to play (and look at) than this one, but don't stop working on this one. If I had to pick out what I didn't "like" and post it, a lot of it would be the sliders. You have lots of long ones, that just go to waste with simplicity.
That's enough for my rant.I hope you and your map go far.
Ps. Half-assed mod for your half-assed map.

All I will do in fact is adding mods (or not). There won't be any big changes. If I had to pick out what I didn't "like" and post it, a lot of it would be the sliders. You have lots of long ones, that just go to waste with simplicity. So simplicity is something bad? Well, I like it. As much as I like uncommon sliders, but on this one I do have my "simple" sliders.

Rejected all suggestions from Bomber, since the taiko's are mapped to the backgroundmusic. All your suggestions include either useless overmapping or mapping to the "main rhythm".

Since short and I didn't seem to be too uber-notsomotivated, why not give this a glance.


Please make the soft-hitwhistles and normal-hitnormals lower-volumed in all diffs, they feel too loud currently.

I do not find this Insane very insane - just saying, I prefer custom diffnames over forcing the standard four diffnames onto a mapset in order to just make their difficulty visible by their names; this feels more like a Hard+ or smth to me, so I suggest you pick custom diffnames connected to the kirby story or smth.


  • 00:06:824 (1) - end could be bettered out (when you select it and go to 00:06:740 in time, you will notice the distance of the sliderarc to the approach circle variates, please try to align it perfectly); also, what is the reason for this shape? as a start-button for the map, okay but to the song... I don't really find redpoints much fitting there
    00:08:488 (4,5,6) - I sense larger spacing here since you got high sounds in the music which suggest something like a jumpy pattern
    00:13:813 (5,6) - ^
    00:16:143 (6) - well this curve can be bettered out, better use 3 sliderpoints here (currently, the end is very unbalanced when compared to the beginning of the slider)
    00:17:475 (7) - a) new combo, b) I suggest splitting this up so you follow the music better, 00:17:724 and 00:17:808 sound as if they required a beat, so please consider adding some and replacing this slider

    01:05:406 (1,2,3) - that pattern is interesting but there is an issue with it: to get to 1, you will have to completely break against the flow of the previous pink combo which results in an awkward movement, also, the jumps in-between the sliders feel quite very sudden compared to their actual speed so I am somewhat concerned about this combo
    01:08:068 (4) - new combo as in previous examples (also, i don't really find this shape sooo fitting there, might be me tho)
    01:10:731 (1) - 20-25% volume is better | Please apply this in all diffs.
    01:21:050 (5) - as in previous examples, there is no real flow or anything to this :<
Comment: I found the whistles a bit harsh, also the hitnormals - you could get the music a bit better aswell, adding "jumps" where I suggested and suchs; overall, the mapping seems okay but I am sure you can get more out of it.

  • 00:06:824 (1) - i do not enjoy this bow, smooth it out with more sliderpoints as you did in Insane
    00:10:818 (7) - could be a bit better by moving the end more top-rightish
    00:32:120 (1) - the curve feels very unbalanced, the beginning is too curvy and the end is too plain
    00:36:115 (7) - wow... that one... is ugly... sorry, please redesign that :/

    00:50:760 (5) - moving the sliderpoint 4 grids right, 1-2 down will make the curve feel a lot smoother (size 4)
    00:56:086 (4,5,6,7,8) - that combo feels better if you use the following coordinates: 112|104, 152|84, 196|80, 240|88, 280|108
    01:16:057 (4) - moving the second sliderpoint 2-3 grids down and the first one to the left (size 4) will make the slider look smoother, you should do that
Comment: Seems somewhat okay, though, sliders as mentioned and also the hitwhistles and normal-sampleset uses feel too harsh.



Normal:

  • 00:06:824 (1) - sliderpoint 2-3 grids down, 1 to the left, makes it look smoother
    00:08:155 (2) - re-adjust to 1's endpoint, make it blanket it properly (suggesting to use 3 sliderpoints instead of 2 for more detailed adjustments)

    00:52:092 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - I do not see an idea behind this, give it one?
    01:06:737 (3) - as in a previous example, make it blanket 2's end better
Comment: Same as for Hard, please work the slidershapes a bit more out and fix the hitsounding volume, other than that, fine.

  • 00:18:141 (4,1,2,3,4) - I do not see a flow or idea behind this, really
    00:26:795 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - this could form a much smoother shape, for example, a hexagon - feels too loose right now
    00:44:103 (1,2) - I don't like putting two slidershapes that are about the same following to each other, especially like this, it doesn't contain any flow; suggesting to let 1 lead back into the playfield's center and let 2 catch the motion and continuing it
    01:05:406 (1) - you could just use one sliderpoint here, two of them take away the curvyness in this example, they're too linearly played
Comment: Same as for Normal and Hard, a little more sliderworkout and hitsounding will do, polish it more and it'll be fine.



@Kokatsu: Hitsounding volume is always so loud in your taikos, me no gustav. Go more with the song.
Also, I find the Oni's streams too harsh, they overshadow the song.
Why do the diffs end about halfway of the song? That is not moe.

Okay, kinda too lazy to answer every single thing. I fixed the thing with the mentioned normal-hitnormals, some sliders were fixed in their shape, and some other little things. The "ugly" sliders I won't change, sorry. About the bigger distance at the high notes in Insane: I don't like that idea, because I don't like too many jumps. And the name, well, in my opinion it is not just a Hard+. You may make those freaking Super-Insanes, but that doesn't mean that something easier isn't an insane.

Thanks for your mod, Underflow. I deleted all unused inherit sections (all diffs), snapped those two notes, but didn't aggree with the whistle-suggestions.

I'm pretty sure you need to poke Deif or somebody else to make a new CTB difficulty for this mapset. There's that guideline that requires you to have at least one easier CTB difficulty if you wanna include these in a mapset (sort of similar to the old "Normal below 3-stars" rule, except for the additional modes too).

01:21:383 (1) - This spinner might be too short to be occuring in the easiest difficulty in a mapset. What about deleting 01:20:051 (1) entirely and starting the spinner at that point instead?

00:46:766 (1,2,3) - Try something like this for better flow? Right now the transition from (1) to (2) seems quite unnatural.

Wow, I didn't expect you to revive this! Just rename my diff to Deif's Rain, and I'll start stalking some modders.

@rEdo: An extra difficulty isn't needed to be added to the mapset, since the standard diffs convert rather well to CtB. That wouldn't be the case of a Taiko/osu!mania mapset, for example. Read the Ranking Criteria!

Deif' Rain
General:
  1. Revisa el Aimod porque tienes algunos objetos fuera de lugar.
  2. El ar deberías bajarlo -1 ya que siempre veo que las Rain tienen drain 6 .w.
Diff:
  1. 00:09:403 (1,2) - Esto encaja bien con la canción pero ya que usas este tipo de HDash (1) con el slider (2) (como aquí 00:10:069 (3,4) - ,00:10:735 (5,1) - y así en casi en toda la canción) bueno, ya que es el comienzo de la canción podrías quitar los HDash de 00:09:403 (1) - , 00:10:069 (3) - y 00:10:735 (5) - para tener un comienzo un poco más sencillo y no tan complicado, con un pequeño salto estaría bien n.n
  2. 00:11:151 (2,3,4,5) - usar un poco más de spacing?
  3. 00:16:143 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - usar el mismo spacing aquí y tratar de hacer algo con un poco más de movimiento o3o

  4. 00:16:809 (9) - nc ya que tienes un combo muy largo.
